#starwars - Zábava
To answer some questions:
*Can the cast members say youngling?*
Yes, they can. The rumor about them not being able to say it is fake. The only things that they can’t say are based of stuff in our world, like iPhone.
*Do they sell blasters?*
No, they don’t. Disney stopped selling guns because of the bad publicity that guns have in media and if people had blasters in the park, then the sellers would be arrested for selling illegal weapons. Also, giving a replica blaster to little Timmy is probably a bad idea.
*What is the blade color when you put in a black kyber crystal?*
The blade becomes red. There’s a little piece of paper that comes with the black kyber crystal that says that the crystal was a piece of obsidian that was infused with Sith essence.
*How different is Smugglers Run is from Star Tours?*
On Smugglers Run, you get to fly the Falcon, but it is sorta on rails. You can’t fly the falcon out of bounds, you have to stay on the objective. There is also only one experience on the ride available right now. Smugglers Run does share the same ride system as Star Tours.
*Does the Blue/Green Milk suck?*
No, not really. The Blue milk tastes kinda like a red Starburst and the Green is really sweet. Some people have said that it tastes like mints, which I don’t taste it at all. I really prefer the green milk over the blue milk but that’s just me.
Other stuff:
In order to get into the lightsaber experience, you need to go there DIRECTLY when you get into the park. The experience is by the blue flag near the Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities (down the stairs near the statue and crates near the front entrance of the Dok-Ondar’s). There’s a little hut area with a speeder next to it. Ask if you can get “scrap” (Scrap = Lightsaber), then you can go ahead and pay. There’s also a reservation for the experience that you need to get, since everyone and their grandma is gonna be trying to get in.
There’s a bar at the land, but it’s always packed and they don’t sell any food there.
I hope this helps anyone going to the land!
Edit: You can do missions around the area using the Disney Play app, which allows you to hack into stuff, translate languages, scan crates, and tune into communication towers. It’s very much like the wands at Harry Potter World in Universal but there’s side quests to do that are pretty fun. The missions also come from all 3 sides (Resistance, First Order, and Neutral/Smugglers/Pirates).
The younglings drama was so dumb. People just read the joke that one person made on twitter and went: "this is 100% true" and just hated Disney.
Again.
These two impress me as being such a nice couple. Very intelligent, well-informed, and very thoughtful kind people. I enjoy getting their points of view on all things Star Wars!
I'm surprised to see that how many people aren't aware that they're allowed have their purchase items sent to a secure location on the Disneyland Resort. At the end of the day they can go to that location and pick them up when they're ready to go home. I hope this helps someone.
I live about 15 minutes away from Disneyland and I have a reservation for Friday the 21st!!!! I am extremely excited
Lucky. Indeed.
Luke Kersten how was it!!??
The second cantina DJ should be the Pit Droid from the Arc in the clones Wars
Disney Parks has said a few times they plan on having Ride of the Resistance open "before the end of the year".
13:49 wow that brought back memories. You people will never understand the struggle
Concerning lightsabers and flying: The TSA actually has a bit of info about carrying them through security hahaha.
Luke Bruton Oh my God it actually has a page on their site 😂😂😂
I believe they mentioned previously Rise of the Resistance will be open in the fall.
Change one thing? The prices 😷
In agreement with this. IMO the only justified prices are anything relating to the lightsabers, and even then the USD 200 price for the custom-built one is debatable, with those arguing that part of that is the actual experience while others can say to just buy one from the various online makers with the experiencing meaning nothing. Everything else is really something to get you uneasy and your wallet crying out in terror and being suddenly silenced.
@Justin O. and they have good reason to have high prices, and some things I would justify as good price for what you get back, but some things are just like wtf
I know right. The tickets are already expensive.
and have it be like a six flags park? no thanks
Haha Mollie.exe has stopped working (error=404)
I plan to visit Galaxy's Edge next month, which if I'm not mistaken is the point where you no longer need reservations to enter the area? Seeing your vids about it and others on the various subjects is making me giddy with excitement, especially the build-a-lightsaber thing.
Reservations end in the next few weeks, and won't be in place by June. However, in July they might be using a virtual line system, were using the Disneyland Park App you might need to say you want to enter the Star Wars area and it will notify you when you're able to enter. Kind of like a buzzer while waiting to get into a restaurant.
Pio Nepomuceno i want those custom lightsabers tho but i live in Germany... sucks to not live in USA
Go for the legacy sabers. Haven't been there but heard all the buzz. Heard that the legacy sabers are worth it for value. But I guess this comes as an opinion now rather than facts so....eh. Your call.
I wasn't super impressed with the Smugglers Run ride. I feel like it's only cool if you get to be one of the pilots. If you're gunner or engineer you just have to worry about flashing buttons. (Which make you miss some of the action onscreen).
The queue, Hondo animatronic, and setup for it was very nice though. I think the ride opening later this year will be a lot more amazing.
Thanks for answering my question mollie and Alex 👏👏 it made my day
Alot of people are watching this from other countries around the world! Im in New Zealand. I'll wait!
What's that TIE advanced shirt? looks awesome
Mollie buys most of my Star Wars shirts haha I think this one was from Hot Topic and it's designed like Star Wars Manga
Did you find the Pablo Hidalgo easter egg?
We didn't but someone told us what it was
And I guess you won't spoil in case others want to find it first.
@@StuartLugsden I honestly can't quite remember and I don't want to say the wrong thing haha
@@Mollie_Damon Thats find :) .
honestly, knowing Pablo it's probably just him in a room with a gun, what you do next decides how the 'easter egg' ends. He's quite the character (I mean this in the best of ways, he's an absolutely hilarious dude).
Almost 3 years later and it's still insanely crowded.
13:15 A problem has been detected and Molly has shut down
Edit: 13:51
I legit panicked when I heard it, and I'm using Windows 10 XD
*13:51
That was gold. The Windows error effect was great
Awesome video. Very helpful. I’m going to wait til later in 2019. Now that Disneyland announced the reservation system for Savi’s and Oga’s, I’m hoping it’s easier to visit and plan ahead for those activities.
I want to see cast members wander around in alien costumes. That would add to the immersion!!!!
0:50 Hey Mollie! I saw your Malex Vlog from Galaxy's Edge and you did a great job on it!
Cant wait to visit
Personal question, um is there any type of gungan related merch?
So happy I'm living Florida right now. Can't wait to go when it opens up!
Thanks for the advice.
They were supposed to have a full on restaurant with live entertainment. The concept art looks a bit like Jabba's throne room. It was cancelled due to space issues, but that would've been cool and could've drawn some away from the cantina.
The Back to the Future ride did have buttons you could press, but only if you sat in the front.
The buttons didn't influence the ride though which is what I think they meant.
I still pressed them as a kid just to pretend
It was the best wasn't it?@@CM-wv8ns
Can't wait to visit!
According to Quinton reviews, the cast members don’t answer your question if you use the word “bathroom” as they pretend like they don’t know what it is
hah we asked where the 'refreshers' were just to try and impress them
If you use non-Star Wars lingo like a picture they might say "I don't know what a picture is but I can take your scan."
We know that our offworlders say "bathroom" so we just point them in the right direction lol. We aren't not going to tell you if you dont say refresher...
Yeah, as a custodian in SWGE, we will absolutely tell you where the bathroom is. We understand offworlders use different terms. I just say, “Of course! We have some refreshers right over there!” to subtly teach the guest our lingo.
Smugglers run is basically an updated version of a star fox mission on Super Nintendo
I understand that there was a sit down full serving dining facility planned in the initial design of Galaxy's Edge. But, for what ever reason it didn't make the cut on the final plan.
I think that might still come to Florida along with the hotel
Ppl may want to consider UPSing their stuff home to get around TSA and other issues, if you're not going to be home before the shipment have someone you really trust receive it but don't tell them what it is. A couple or several friends each w a lightsaber may want to put them in one long well padded box and ship it to one of their homes by UPS. Just an idea.
OMG! What if the cast members aren’t human but Cylons?!?
Rob Miller all of this has happened before but will it happen again *all along the watchtower begins to play
question i will be going to galaxy edge on december 21st this year will it be pack or hard to get into and will the sevis work shop build your own light saber still be popular and hard to get into or will the crowd be slow since it will be 6 months since it open also will they have new build your own light sabers for $200?
I neeeed that Rey outfit 😭 definitely want to come from Australia one day!
Did you hear the one about the crate of Krayt Dragons on Crait?
I have an idea, rather than straight up creating a lightsaber, you join a secret Jedi academy, use VR for saber training, embark on a quest to retrieve a clear kyber crystal (option to bleed the crystal if you opt to be a the darkside), build your lightsaber, and if you're on the lightside you fight your way to the Falcon where the story ends after "Smuggler's Run". If you chose darkside, you help put down the rebellion alongside Kylo Ren. All scripted, of course.
Oh and make galactic credits a currency that can be exchanged throughout the park.
Then again I think that's alot to ask, but who knows?
falcon ride is like mix of star tours and mission space or so i heard
I plan to save up and go in a year or two. I wonder if the Interior of the falcon is actually inside the ship on display or its separate cause i read that the interior of the actual sets could never fit inside the ship model.
The one outside is a prop. The interior of the ride is actual two separate chess room that lead to four turntables that each have seven cockpits. Don’t worry, though. It’s all designed in a way that you don’t even notice.
What ever happened to Jar Jar Binks? He just disappeared during Episode III. He was instrumental to the rise of Palpatine/Sidious to Emperor.
He shows up in a chapter of the Aftermath series. He is a homeless clown that people have shunned because of his role in the rise of the Emperor. Only children show him any sympathy. (Much like IRL)
@@ElloAsty lol what age would he be by that point?
@@JP-hk6xw however old he is in The Phantom Menace plus 36 years
The Falcon holding room isn't actually 100% accurate. It's missing the step down from the hallway. I guess that's to accommodate wheelchairs.
Matthew Palanca how do took out the step. He’s getting frail in his old age.
Or R2-D2.😜
They have to meet in the middle of being accurate to the movies and cater to ADA. They can get sued if they discriminate the disabled.
A huge thanks to both of you for this! 😄❤ Will be going this early November. I'm all the way in Southeast Asia and I have a trip to the US in a few months, so I hope I can reach the 2nd ride's opening. I just hope there's still merch to buy though, or money... 🤣 MTFBWY!
And by your name I would guess you're Filipino as well
@@Milliardo5 Yeah. 🤣
Oh that's cool as I'm also from PH and actually, as I had commented earlier, will plan to go to GE next month during my LA/San Diego trip. The build-a-lightsaber in particular is something I'm eagerly looking forward to, and which I plan to show off when Asia Pop Comic Con rolls around.
@@arjaegonz Nice. From the Philippines here as well. Have an uncle, aunt and cousins in San Diego. Hope I could go there again to see Galaxy's Edge since the last time I've been there was 2001.
@@myriadmediamusings Awesome! 😯 I already have my own lightsaber so I'm looking forward to the legacy ones. Just hoping that bringing the saber blades in carry-on won't be a hassle, will probably keep it inside the box for safety.
To me, at least early on, after riding Smuggler’s Run there doesn’t seem all that much to do other than spend money. One ride? Where are all the attractions? And yeah, I know the Resistance ride will be open by the end of the year.
Can you order replica sabers from resort
Wow, these two are so enthusiastic.
It looks like a bad awkward first date
i been wondering is there some official shop to get first order armor from ?
ramokhan
Yeah it’s in the First Order Cargo shop in the corner of the park.
also I makes sense to go during star wars days at WDW in Orlando since there would be a lot more Characters including actual star of Star wars.
Think it was the 3rd or 4th question in. You cant stay for as long as you want. You need to book a slot where you can stay for 4hrs and thats how they limit the crowds and wait times. So it wont make any difference when you go because the crowds are regulated
Any reference to Thrawn and Vader’s time spent on Batuu besides the drinks
If the park changes after episode IX, what do you think will happen to the Resistance vs. First Order narrative in the park if the First Order is defeated in IX?
If you use the Play Disney Parks app, you can do missions for the First Order and Resistance
are you planning to plan your trip to Disney World's Galaxy's Edge when you find out the dates for reservations for that park, since you know it won't be as crowded than if you go when it's open to all? Is your trip going to be entirely dependent on if the Star Wars hotel will be open at the same time? From what I've heard, the hotel is going to be almost like a cosplay/Star Wars roleplay experience, which obviously appeals a great deal to real Star Wars fans, but probably not so much for an average vacationing family. Hopefully that fact will mean that if you are able to book a stay in that hotel, the other guests staying there will participate and continue to roleplay with every other guests staying there.
I'm thinking the new ride ties in right with Episode 9 as well as the "repeated Canon" each day in the park. It will all make sense after the movie. In the newest Thrawn novel Battuu is a very important place. And I know they visit it in the movie so it will all come together.
Do they sell the ice cream maker from empire strikes back?
I had so much fun
Black Crystals is a Red Blade
Btw, did yall record your saber building? If so can you post the vid ?
pinned a comment
Do you know who the statue is of in front of Dok Ondar’s? It looks like a character I haven’t seen before
Another video from the best channel on CZcams
If you want to see an extended vlog of our trip you can watch it over on our vlog channel: czcams.com/video/iYlGuRvNhnU/video.html
I carried the saber as a carryon on Southwest.
Since Kylo and Chewy are apart of the Galaxie‘s edge experience, do you think that they both survive episode nine?
And if so do you think chewy gets ownership over the falcon? And do you think Kylo remains head of the first order?
Thanks!
This is set before TROS, so their appearance in the land does not mean anything in regards to their fates in TROS.
Rise of the Resistance is opening this year per several Disney Parks Blog posts. Just don’t know when this year.
I wonder if there is a resale market for the custom built sabers. Build it for the experience and then sell it online to recoup some money.
Someone on EBay is selling his services to make the exact lightsaber a person wants from the workshop for people who cannot go to the land. There is actually a bid for $300.
Make a video about everything you guys bought at Galaxy's Edge
Heard there is a mission where you can acquire the sum of everyone's credits earned in a day or something...for the app. Not sure but one of the folks at SDCC Unofficial Blog mentioned it.
Is the falcon ride similar to the Mars ride at Epcot?
No. More like Star Tours but you are in complete control.
It would be cool if some bounty hunters/creatures hung out in the canteena
Rise of the Resistance is coming this Fall as announced in April :)
Fall is Disney World. California ROTR is much earlier like August.
I saw a B2 somewhere in droid depot in one video thats viewing. Yet it has no head.
Mollie Blue Screened!!!
Seems like they are fighting, weird vibe
Disney has given August as a tentative opening day for Rise of the Resistance, nothing more specific.
Disney hasn’t given any date at all aside from 2019.
fully immersive. screen accurate strollers and Mickey Mouse balloons XD
3 Suns? Phbbt! Here on planet Florida, we have a whopping 12!
When they said "Star Wars Theme Park", here's what I imagined:
Jedi Temple Training Center; Lucasfilm Archives Museum; Mos Eisley Cantina; Jabba's Palace Bar & Grill; Podracer Rollercoasters; Millennium Falcon Kessel Run; Bespin Cloud City Restaurant; Ewoks Village Playground; Speeder Bike Chase; Death Star Attack Ride; Battle of Hoth Rollercoaster; Naboo Royal Palace Restaurant; Jedi vs Sith Action Stunt Show; Sith Artifacts Store; Darkside Encounters Character Meet and Greet; Vader's Castle Tower Plunge; Jedi Artifacts Store; Hyperspace Hoopla Dance Show; Galactic Creatures Petting Zoo; Friends of the Force Character Meet and Greet. Instead, we get a lousy outpost that we've never seen of or care about. And 99 percent no classic and beloved characters. Seriously, how could Disney mess this up so badly?!?!
Disney never said the phrase Star Wars theme park.
"Fine, I'll do it myself" - Thanos, after he visited the Galaxy's Edge an left unsatisfied.
When does this take place. Before or after episode 7 & 8
Actual canon answer: on a specific day between TLJ and ROS. Every day is that day, it repeats, like Groundhog Day. At some point the day may be moved to one in the future, but it’ll always be one canon day’s events in the actual Star Wars continuity at Galaxy’s Edge.
I've seen videos with the black crystal and I can confirm they do not turn your saber black, it stays red.
I wish I could go so bad
I really wanna go but I live on the other side of Earth. Hopefully there will be one in the UK or atleast Europe one day.
Disney is going to build one in Paris where they speak English. But it would still be nice if they could build one in England somewhere.
Keep dreaming, it wont come to England 😂😂😂😂
Wooooo
So, you have to buy the lightsaber sleeve if you go and make your own?
You get the saber sheath at the building experience
And they are included within the experience
@@mick_hofmeijer so it is included in the $200 for the experience?
@@2mig34 correct
According to one video, though a sleeve is included and does the job of protecting the saber just fine, there is another, better sleeve available. Though of course you have to pay for it.
So overall for the build-a-lightsaber, it is USD 200 plus tax, plus the amount you want to drop for the extra kyber crystals if you want your saber to have alternate colors and sounds. And then the crystals are compatible with the Jedi Holocrons and Sith Holocrons which cost extra, which undoubtedly will go great with the Jedi robes available and-oh no I've gone crosseyed.
IMO just the Saber itself would be a pretty good spend, along with maybe one or two more crystals to give your saber some extra options.
Did you say you are reading crash of fate?
Yep finished it a few days ago!
Oh man I would so love to go but uhhh I'm UK based and this would probably bankrupt me twice over 😂
Yeah, same here!
Molly is right, the black crystal still makes your saber red. The black color is purely aesthetic.
I do not think I will ever be able to afford going to such a place.... It is insane to think of the amount of money people are spending here. After flying across the country, paying for a hotel, getting into the park.... And then having 500-1000 dollars to spend inside the park? Jesus you think they would throw you a bone somewhere..... You could sell probably 4 times as many light sabers if you just knocked the price down 30$ and also essentially kill the competitors (ultra sabers).
Wait did they really get rid of the black cyber crystal
Are both galaxys edge parks identical?
I believe Florida will have an extra entrance to the land. Maybe other small design changes but mostly the same.
@@ElloAsty Disneyland has the extra entrance. Florida has two, while California has 3.
Other patrons+strollers = mynocks on my windshield
Younglings!
So at 11:33 yall said they wont let you swing them around in the park. Me and my girl both had one blue and red while watching chewy work on the x wing me and her took some photos she decided to start to "battle me" hitting mine and we started to have a dule, Everyone around watched us we made sure no one was around so they wouldn't get smacked by one of us even chewy and ray came to root for my girl beacuse well sith all the way. One cast member even said down with the first order. No one ever stopped us and we put on a good 5 min show.
one last big question about Sabine Ren is she the founder of the knights of Ren or is she currently missing with Asoka Tano?
Her last name is Wren, with a 'W'.
Can I buy replica blasters?
Joshua Starkloff
No, Disney has stopped selling guns for around 2 years now.
Well, Mollie, it's called advertising, using Mickey Mouse balloons to remind people watching videos like this that this is a Disneyland attraction XD
Jokes aside, I live in Malaysia, so I wonder if the park can open in Hong Kong or Tokyo Disneyland if it does well in the US. The Star Wars Malaysia Fan Club is really hoping to go
Did you find the hidden mickey? There is one, believe it or not.
EDIT: About the lightsaber being worth the price, it is. When I was preparing to go, I was considering to buy everything separately. And if you add the base legacy saber, say Obi Wan's Episode I and II saber, a kyber crystal, the 36" blade, and carrying case, it adds up to be $15 more (without tax) than the $200 (again without tax) you pay for the experience. So at first it may be a lot, and it still is, but it is cheaper to do the experience of building a lightsaber
😊
Hey Molly and Alex, are credits ever seen as credits? Or is money just ignored and kept in dollars?
The former! Cast members will specifically say "that's 29 point five credits", etc.
So what is the “exchange rate”?
Jacob Taylor Ha, nothing like that. They just change the language used. (So my example above is $29.50.)
I just wanna know how much a real starship costs.
This attraction feels like it'll bring a lot of kids. For that reason, I guess it's good that they don't have Anakin there.
Sucks that they don't have aliens walking around :/ hopefully they find away to make it work in the future. Anyone know if there are droids that move around in the park?
Not at this point. It was tested in Tomorrowland and at D23, but even with those lesser crowds, kids kept climbing on them and it caused crowd flow complications. Having several of them roaming a place as packed as SWGE just would work. There are several animatronic droids stationed throughout the land, though.
