I'm INJURED | IT Band Injury

  • Going into the U.S Marathon Trials my IT band was aggravated and was getting a little worried if i was going to be able to race pain free. Luckily it was only hurting when i was running slow so it did NOT affect my race.
    My IT got worse after the race and could barely walk. The last 3 weeks ive been doing my exercises everyday trying to get rid of the pain so i can resume my training.

    I went through severe IT band issues 16 years ago. Knocked me out of running for 5 years. The way I “fixed” it was a ton of glute exercises as I have a wacky pelvis. Good luck, all injuries heal.

    potentially a video in future on how to recover from achilles tendonitis and what exercises/techniques apart from working out you did to help heal? was diagnosed with mild tendonitis in my left achilles around the beginning of january, and i havent felt pain in a while, but im scared to ease back into running consistently because im afraid ill hurt myself again. i want to hear what the process is like getting back into running and how i can prevent it from hurting again.

    I am a cyclist who started running a few months ago and I got this injury. I recommend to focus on hamstrings because cycling does not strenghten this part. However, I also did the exercices in the video, it really helps.

    Love your videos Habtamu, looking forward to your progress post injury! I ran 10 miles Monday at 7:10 pace and after running a light 9:15 pace today, I felt a weird feeling in my left knee. + I have a half marathon coming up this Sunday, taking these workouts into my week prep!

    I recommend you do more heavy weight exerises with less rep, if you dont feel pain. In my experience move heavy weights help me be injury free.
