I am currently a couple of classes ahead the normal curriculum plan for my major, I am a student research assistant working on swarm robotics, I am a lead in a cultural club, and just today I got a confirmation that I will represent my university at the Lockheed Martin Ethics competition next month. what software do mechanical engineers learn at mit for 4 years
Hey how do I get an internship with no engineering experience? I don't even have any skills
Should I buy a laptop with a graphics card or a normal laptop with a powerful cpu (first year mechanical engineering)
In my opinion if you can afford the one with he graphics card you should go for that. Aim for it with a good powerful cpu paired with it. If you can’t afford that you might as well go with the normal laptop, or look into a school sponsored laptop loaner program. Im also a student with the dell xps 15, i would recommend the Asus laptop with i9 cpu and nvidia graphics card, it is about the same price range of the xps 15 but with better performance.
I bought a Asus flow x13 in my first year, it's a 2in1 so I can take notes on it and run any program with its gpu. But I actually rarely use the power cause I have a gaming desktop at home that I do most of my demanding tasks on. So I would suggest a cheap 2in1 or iPad for notes in class and a solid desktop for your engineering applications
I bought Lenovo IdeaPad 3 gaming and this is fitting exactly for begging
