Here's another secret you didn't include in this video: the rats that you so heartlessly shot were part of a cult that was trying to bring the demon Samael into this world, they performed the rituals behind those different texture walls you walked by, sipping on tea and eating crackers.
Those poor rats....

Tried to do a No Animals Killed run on this level the other day, since glitchless Pacifist is going to be impossible for later levels.
This video actually helps a lot, reduced enemy spawns really help when most switches and buttons leave you vulnerable.

For such easy secrets those usiclips are well hidden!
And you can also finish the level with the boat, but without the shortcut (using 2 keys) if your timing is good.
I just really wanted that boat, since the venice music doesn't start without it on my game :p

While this is an eight year old vid, I want to think that at the start of Venice, considering that there is a gate, and I think what looks to be a long narrow alleyway corridor, perhaps Lara could have been simply positioned to look like that she climbed, and vaulted over the gate? That was my assumption. Especially as she was looking around for clues about the symbol, spotting that. And knowing that this is where her search begins.

1:55 I extracted the map files of the level, and there is no space or anything behind that wall. Absolutly nothing. (for the pc version at least)
