Exactly! New generation r8 have ugly exterior design in my opinion, the rear, back, and sides also, all just kinda ugly if it compared to previous gen of r8 like in this video

I'd take an R8 V10 Plus over a 911 GT3 any day of the week. The aural splendor and curvaceous exterior are miles better.

We haven't tested it at this track yet, but we will. It's highly unlikely it will beat the Audi though. It's down on power and grip, plus there's no fancy dual-clutch transmission in the Vette.

Im a happy owner of the R8 V10 Plus. Good review but I really dont agree that the suspension should be to stiff. The roads around my place is full of post holes still no problem with the Plus. Naturally not as soft as an A6 but nor is it to stiff. Very easy to use as a daily driver even on ruff roads.

The Camaro ZL1. And before people comment that it's a stupid American muscle car, you need to drive it first. Yes it's heavy, but it makes 30 more horsepower and has considerably better tires.
This car is cool but need something new.! Coming from a family who own only Audi I'm expecting the newest one thats about come out to at least keep up with gtr performance and handling.!!
S8 0-60 in 3.5 seconds .....R8 in 3.3 .....I would go for the most luxurious S8

look better in the r8, but the s8 is bad ass
It makes like no torque though, 550hp but like 384ish torque? Sorry if the numbers are slightly off but damn they could have increased the stroke and not make it wind out to 8k and make it make more torque! Like sure its fast and what not but seems expensive for that little amount of torque. I really liked the whole fsi injection too, its a shame it doesn't make more torque, plus 8k whinds eat oil too. 7k could have been more than plenty. Hell 6 1/2k would be a good number if I had this beefy fuel efficient v10 behind me!
who cares how much torque it makes it if it is that fast? 0-60 in 3.3 tells me it makes plenty of torque. isn't the whole reason you want a lot of torque so the thing accelerates fast? doesn't this car pass that test?
I thought it ran 3.8 seconds on audi's website, which for the money of a v10+ you could own a gtr or 911 turbo which accelerate a lot faster.
Gtrs and porsches are ugly....the r8 is beautiful
I suggest you should learn about the formula of horsepower and torque, try to understand it not hear from some guy from youtube. So you will have a better understand of how they work. Notice that this engine Rev very lively.
They should make a R8 v8 Plus for the people who want a v8 r8
I dont meant to sound like a jerk or anything, but rather than saying "dear santa" or "I need to win the lottery", why doesnt anyone ever think about getting a different job or coming up with something new. Not everything can be handed to you, but hey a job cant either..

V10 plus isn't worth the 'plus' you pay over the standard v10. Buy the older model too...with a manual...spyder/coupe is ur choice
So in other words, we're almost looking at a car designed for people who cant afford a Gallardo. Not a bad step down honestly
Keep in mind I went looking at these at a dealership closed for a day, for fun, and they had 3 of these outside.... yes, outside. Two V8s and one V10.... amazingly there was a 60 grand difference in between the 8 and 10
5.2 liter v10 still makes less power than Ferraris 4.5 v8(speciale)

vivalaphill Just to clarify. The engine is a Lamborghini sourced V10 so the get the engine from Lamborghini and makes some tweaks to it, but overall it's mostly the same engine that was used in the Gallardo. And secondly, Audi owns Lamborghini, but Volkswagen owns Audi and Porsche.

the interior of the R8 has aged horribly, it looks cheap with carbon fiber tacked on. look at the handbrake and the center arm rest and console, they look like they are made of the same plastic out of a camry. also it really bugs me he is in the auto setting on track.... common man.
And what if I were to ask you the point of a sports car. It's not the same as a race car is it? Does the speed of shift make the slightest difference to ones enjoyment of the car? No. All it does is make it easier to drive, and reduce the challenge (and therefore fun) of driving.
Fast road cars exist for one thing only - fun. An automatic gearbox takes away some of that. Therefore, why the fuck would anyone want an AUTOMATIC SPORTS CAR. A SPORTS CAR THAT CHANGES GEAR FOR YOU. It's just sad.
