We're not all meant to be Christian. We're not all meant to be Muslim. We're not all meant to follow African Spirituality.
It's good to explore other belief systems and find one that appeals to you, your family and your life ambitions.

The word 'Yoga' is derived from the Sanskrit root 'Yuj', meaning 'to join' or 'to yoke' or 'to unite'.
As per Yogic scriptures the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind and body, Man & Nature.

India may be renamed to Bharat. It is also called Hindustan by Indian officials.

    • @riddledaily
      @riddledaily Před 2 měsíci +1

No no we aren't renaming it Bharat that's totally misunderstood and misinterpreted.
India is Bharat, In our constitution its clearly written as "India That Is Bharat" even on India currency you can find "Reserve Bank Of India" written in English and "Bhartiye reserve bank" written in Hindi.
You can say that Bharat is a Hindi translation to India.... In some way
The people living in India are known as "Bharatvasi" or "bhartiye" which means "people of Bharat" that is India ....
India was more of like a foreign name given to Bharat or what many knows it as Hindustan... The Britishers named it after Indus river as Bharat and Hindustan were too complex to use repeatedly for the British accent at that time. That later when colonized by Britishers became the East India Company.
Just the same way India is also known as "Hindustan" which actually translates to "Land of Hindus" the term was coined when external powers (invaders) got to know about the land that was totally new to them..... The name is pretty common between middle east and other central asian countries.
You can even find the more than 1000 years old hindus temples in morden day Indonesia, Vietnam, mongolia, thiland and many other countries including continents like Africa and nort and south America.
You can find the similarity between many tribes and ethnic groups that roots back to one of the most ancient civilizations.
i just got into a bit of history but i hope it will help any individual reading this to get a better understanding between all these confusion of diffrent names.
At last i would like to say if you ever find yourself stuck at any point of time just visit India once ..... You are welcomed in every temple... Not to convert but to know the reality of your existence your only dharma .... And if you can't i would recommend that you start reading Bhagwat Gita.
You don't have to convert to be a hindu on a spiritual level - and thats the best part.
      Radhe Radhe 🙏

There are 4 paths (in broader categorisation)
    1. Bhaktiyoga (For emotional human beings)
    2. Gyanayoga (For rational thinking human beings)
    3. Karma Yoga (For people who believe Actions)
    4. Rajayoga (Which has 8 parts explained by Rishi Patanjali)
The 8 limbs of Raja Yoga, also known as Ashtanga Yoga, are guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life as described in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. These limbs act as a practical guide to attain liberation from suffering. The eight limbs are:
    a) Yamas (abstinences): These are moral disciplines or restraints that help us live in harmony with others. The five Yamas are:
    Ahimsa (non-violence)
    Satya (truthfulness)
    Asteya (non-stealing)
    Brahmacharya (continence)
    Aparigraha (non-possessiveness)
    b) Niyamas (observances): These are personal practices that help us cultivate inner discipline and spiritual growth. The five Niyamas are:
    Saucha (cleanliness)
    Santosha (contentment)
    Tapas (austerity)
    Svadhyaya (self-study)
Ishvara Pranidhana (surrender to a higher power)
    c) Asana (posture): The practice of physical postures to promote health, strength, and flexibility, while also calming the mind.
    d) Pranayama (breath control): Techniques to control and regulate the breath, which can help calm the mind and improve overall well-being.
    e) Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses): The practice of withdrawing the senses from external stimuli, leading to increased focus and inner awareness.
    f) Dharana (concentration): The ability to focus the mind on a single point or object, leading to increased mental clarity and concentration.
    g) Dhyana (meditation): A state of deep contemplation and awareness, where the mind is fully absorbed in the present moment.
h)Samadhi (absorption): The ultimate goal of Raja Yoga, a state of complete absorption and oneness with the object of meditation, leading to a profound sense of peace and enlightenment.

      Translation
Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.
      Purport
The Lord has described various kinds of knowledge and processes of religion - knowledge of the Supreme Brahman, knowledge of the Supersoul, knowledge of the different types of orders and statuses of social life, knowledge of the renounced order of life, knowledge of nonattachment, sense and mind control, meditation, etc. He has described in so many ways different types of religion. Now, in summarizing Bhagavad-gītā, the Lord says that Arjuna should give up all the processes that have been explained to him; he should simply surrender to Kṛṣṇa. That surrender will save him from all kinds of sinful reactions, for the Lord personally promises to protect him.
In the Seventh Chapter it was said that only one who has become free from all sinful reactions can take to the worship of Lord Kṛṣṇa. Thus one may think that unless he is free from all sinful reactions he cannot take to the surrendering process. To such doubts it is here said that even if one is not free from all sinful reactions, simply by the process of surrendering to Śrī Kṛṣṇa he is automatically freed. There is no need of strenuous effort to free oneself from sinful reactions. One should unhesitatingly accept Kṛṣṇa as the supreme savior of all living entities. With faith and love, one should surrender unto Him.
The process of surrender to Kṛṣṇa is described in the Hari-bhakti-vilāsa (11.676):
      ānukūlyasya saṅkalpaḥ
      prātikūlyasya varjanam
      rakṣiṣyatīti viśvāso
      goptṛtve varaṇaṁ tathā
      ātma-nikṣepa-kārpaṇye
      ṣaḍ-vidhā śaraṇāgatiḥ
According to the devotional process, one should simply accept such religious principles that will lead ultimately to the devotional service of the Lord. One may perform a particular occupational duty according to his position in the social order, but if by executing his duty one does not come to the point of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, all his activities are in vain. Anything that does not lead to the perfectional stage of Kṛṣṇa consciousness should be avoided. One should be confident that in all circumstances Kṛṣṇa will protect him from all difficulties. There is no need of thinking how one should keep the body and soul together. Kṛṣṇa will see to that. One should always think himself helpless and should consider Kṛṣṇa the only basis for his progress in life. As soon as one seriously engages himself in devotional service to the Lord in full Kṛṣṇa consciousness, at once he becomes freed from all contamination of material nature. There are different processes of religion and purificatory processes by cultivation of knowledge, meditation in the mystic yoga system, etc., but one who surrenders unto Kṛṣṇa does not have to execute so many methods. That simple surrender unto Kṛṣṇa will save him from unnecessarily wasting time. One can thus make all progress at once and be freed from all sinful reactions.

I listened to the whole conversation after I met the brother yesterday at Campus Square. We had a great engagement and debate. He is still on a journey to find his true Self but has not yet. Everything he spoke, he spoke eloquently but I’m afraid that he has not quite grasped it yet but awakening has begun. Hinduism speaks on Brahman (Not a person/persona/ego) but as the Ultimate Reality. All these deities are just personification of the ultimate reality which is your true nature. I would go further with my explanation if I did not have to type but the final truth is, YOU are the ultimate reality. Not who you think you are but the real You beyond thoughts.
