I think it's insane that Riot doesn't understand the simple concept of a top laner being the strongest member on the team. Said top laner spends the majority of the game solo leveling, powering up like Godzilla on a remote island, away from everyone just to be killed in 2 seconds because enemy Kaisa did 2,6k dmg while having 500MS. When I came from playing RPG/Fantasy games I just despised (and still do) this concept of an archer being able to destroy a knight while in melee range.

every single new season is the worst in league history it's perma downhill 1 good change into 10000 worse ones, small dogsht changes making a snowball effect , junglers dont take dmg in the jungle, death timers,minions not targeting under turret, tp changes, less gold for smashing killing your lane, exp changes u still get it while u are dead, more double exp and jungle camps exp -> making everyone tanker for 0reason that's the tip of the iceberg there is more, balance team is just clueless game is literally not worth playing

By the time I get Noxian Might in a fight, I'm half a second before death or I have 3 seconds of ghost left. Very satisfying gameplay indeed.
I've moved to lethality Aatrox and I gotta say: missing half my abilities and still oneshotting squishies is way more fun

Dont know why they buff ADC items and nerf ghost, remove tenacity, buff fleet footwork AND nerf steelcaps all at once. Dont think I've won like any of my games into ranged top. Especially if they have fleet footwork. The few I won is because my lane opponent majorly trolled their positioning or something. I feel like I have no agency into people with fleet footwork in this game state Winning because your opponent played bad vs you playing good is two different things and the former doesnt feel fun if it's every game. Hi there, Former rank 1 Darius on my server, yeah Darius is in the shittiest state ive seen. This patch made me consider dropping him or even just dropping league in general. The only reason I still even play is cuz my girlfriend plays.

learning Darius so many hours I went to gold to D2 peak and now it feels like riot ripped it all away everything about it sucks the time window when trading sums to get kills with ghost IS AWFUL I’m on to kled now hate this game

Hey man, thanks for so many amazing hours of content with what I consider to be the most entertaining champion in LoL, you are honestly a saint for lasting so long in this shitshow. if you are not having fun with the game, it's really not worth it, just play something else. I personally haven't been able to stand summoner's rift and their newer dogshit champions for years now, I only play aram with friends once a month or something. There are so many other amazing games to discover and maybe stream! I would totally watch you play Helldivers 2, I love that game (although... arrowhead balance team and riot balance team seem to share the same disfunctional brain cell).
I don't know how much revenue you make from your channel. If it's a business decision, obviously it's much more complicated, but I really recommend testing the waters to see if your audience is willing to follow you to different content! I know I am.
Honestly speaking, I have been on the verge of trying out other games on the main channel and this might just be the push I need.

I spent a good while being a Jax main because I liked the way Lethal Tempo felt on Jax but then, out of nowhere, they decided to remove it.
I'm slowly dropping my self respect and starting to play Camille and Fiora .. I really miss season 10 darius and day by day fighters are and will never be the same

Hashinshin actually had a pretty good idea for Darius back when they nerfed him then removed Stridebreaker.
He said that Riot should make his Q grant movement speed when he hits an enemy. That was, Darius can use his Q on a minion to get movement speed to hook a ranged toplaner.
I have been through so many games where I did not do anything and my bot lane won the game anyway. But, I love seeing top-laners still getting nerfed when top-laners are already trash tier.

That neeko in the first game is a true homie. With that being said, the solution to play toplane seems to just pick more ranged champs, I guess that's what Riot wants us to do

you know what is also annyoing , somehow most adc items give move speed so even with ghost it is hard to catch them
For the past 5 years, since I started playing, I've never seen them reworking adc's or ranged champs, I was a Mundo and Volibear main before they reworked them and barely play them now. I switched to Darius. I just guess they love to keep the ranged buffed and stronger, with 400 armor they still do a ton of damage. It's a ridiculous company.
All of this would've been fixed if they gave him a slow on his passive,like a 3% per bleed stack

Awesome video as always. I totally understand your reaction towards top lane and the new patch. I stopped playing for now exactly because of these reasons. Top lane is just no fun at all. As you said, you either fight against ranged or a tank, which is only there for the jungler. It's just not fun to play a bruiser at all. You play against people who just sit there and either do nothing, and you can't kill them because they're too tanky, or you play against ranged, and well, how fun is that? I feel so useless right now playing top. I just played 4 matches in a row, all of them against ranged ADCs.
I wasnt bothered by vanguard until it crashed my game 3MINUTES INTO THE GAME. 2lvl ahead ennemy ggwp. It is so so annoying considering that cheaters are so irrelevant in most games like ive played for 3 years reached d4 and ive never seen any scripts fuck your useless spyware.

I have no idea who thought that buffing ADC over and over and over again was even something resembling a halfway decent idea the community response after the patch news came out was OVERWHELMING NEGATIVE (besides from the mouth breather vayne top otps) do they just not listen to community feedback whatsoever??? I can’t imagine they don’t see the massive amount of negative responses and pure hatred the community holds (phreak gets the worst of it) but the way they respond to the community with patches and statements is an absolute joke

I'd say last patch. Although the state sucked, I was mentally in the perfect spot to play the game. The game is generally in a good spot before every major update where they mess it all up.

The more awarness you bring to the issue, the more you bend riot's ear, the more likely it is they will listen.
I wouldnt even mind a darius boycott. We just dont play the champion completly until they fix it.
Say I go to these other creators, talk to them about it, we make a big fuss and Riot makes changes. It is only a matter of time until they drive the game into the ground again. Darius getting ghost back doesn't uninstall vanguard. It doesnt delete Skarner. It doesn't change anything. They will basically just temporarily appease us and then keep making the game worse. I don't really care enough at this point.
If we miss E its better to just close the game
I am a Renekton main, and even my champion with 2 decently strong dashes feels unplayble outside of laning phase most of the time due to the lack of mobility.
I really can't get over how balance team saw ghost being the most used summoner for at least 2 years (mostly on ADC's btw), decided to nerf it universally, and then just slap a bunch of MS on ADC items anyways, basically compensating for nerfs.
The way they treat tenacity is a warcrime. Legend: Tenacity - gone.
Unflinching - effectively gone.
They almost nerfed mercs to 20% and destroyed swifties.
The rune shard that gives tenacity might as well be the single whorst rune shard, since you have to sacrifice health from other two to get 10%, that will be more like 6%-4 % due to deminishing returns when stacknig tenacity (and no way those 10% are gonna matter by themselves, so you gonna stack it)
A couple patches ago balance team saw that sterak's is among the most purchaaed items and slapped an extra 200 cost at it. Like, of course it will be purchased, I want to MOVE SOMETIMES.
I literally cannot itemize for the level of mobility and CC the game currently has as a baseline. My champ has no value outside of laning phase. I can one-shot someone in misposition when fed and my flash is up, but that's it. It never matters, since anyone can deal 1v9 amounts damage these days, so even if kill their strong adc/mid, I just get taken out right away after that, either by Kaisa spacegliding on me with 2 items, or Hwei wombo-comboing me for 5 minutes of CC+slows (Usually both)
I wouldn't be even that mad, since Renekton is supposed to be "win lane, lose game" champion, but the amout of cockblock things that can be played top is just infuriating, ranging from TF permastunning you to Ksante dashing 2 screens away from you when he feels like it.
I believe that is what Darius also feels like now. Probably even worse, since he has no dashes at all.

I love garen and darius, renekton too. But playing them top has to be one of the worst experiences you can ever have. Like Rhoku just said you have to be some sort of masochist to actually enjoy. People who play fighter/bruiser champs can tell you endless times in which some braindead tank or ranged player get shit on in lane but later their afk play themselves champ come online and you can't do anything about it.
I just played against tristana top (Nevere a common pick and kinda trolling in any other patch) as garen I had to use flash ignite and ult just to kill her after waiting till i got level 6 and stride breaker and what makes it worse is the only reason I GOT, "got" is the key word here because if tristana is good I never kill her EVER I have zero counter play, she LET me kill her because she over stepped and took a tower shot. Now we extrapolate this to an avg team fight you have minimum 3 of those "tristanas" aka characters with all those escape and disengage stun blah blah tools on the enemy team almost every game.
And here in lies our problem exactly like you highlighted we only have 1 of those summoner spell flash ignite ult type combos as a bruiser in a fight. Where as they have 3 tristanas minimum with their tools on abilities with comparatively short cool downs. Avg melee bruiser experience in league = Oh yes I killed the adc oh wait zac stun locks me for 10 seconds, brand and hwei then contribute to the gang bang and im dead in 2-3 seconds flat. Or the good old I dared to step up to wave for 5 seconds and half my health is missing It's the most boring experience I have ever had it makes me just want to not play because I don't like other champs play styles and I always have the sense of dread lmao even if I am winning lane cause I know what's coming in team fights.
I understand how oppressive melee bruisers can be if they are strong. But they need to do something cause as it stands now it's a horrible experience. I've just been coping by playing urgot and camille.

Unreal how instead of nerfing ghost abuse on ranged champions they nerd the entire sum for EVERYONE, on top of buffs to fleet, mage and ADC items. Actually unbelievable how riot continously panders to ADC mains who can't accept that their role has weaknesses, whilst toplaners are given nothing...

I have removed the Riot client from my PC when they introduced Vanguard. This is just spyware, I don't want this on my personal machine. It is also a very lazy way of introducing anti-cheat but what do you expect from Riot after all..

Idk i feel like ghost nerfs fked darius up because he is the most spell dependant champ in the game... Plus they nerfed rune that gives cd on spells. I understand he is a strong as fk stat checker but he is made to punish mistakes, he is a lowelo stomper and even in higher u play to punish mistakes. They should change ghost to be different between melee champions(stronger) and range champs(weaker).
I’m Nasus main and this ghost nerf just makes it even better to play him mid which is way less fun even if it’s simpler it’s just dodging skillshot simulator and basically no all-ins happen.
With ghost, fleet nerf and lethal tempo removal may as well just run Aery E-max nasus every game and play lame anti-carry playstyle instead of carrying the game with aggressive ghost flash lethal tempo setup (even if it comes with more risk it was fun).

Okay guys, xPetu did the protest when Shen was in that bad spot. We should do the same actually, lets stop playing Darius for some time and see if Riot looks at us for a bit and give us a relevant buff instead of a straight up more damage
In 2023 i already faced braindead ranged like quinn, vayne or Heimer top more than i actually faced melee or normal tak/bruiser/dualist.
So now in 2024 i actually decided to try something. I bring my own ADC toplane, when counterpicking is an option. Due to them being a total troggolodyte in lane, missing macro, wave management, spacing, ressource management and literally everything else - so lane is just broken down to "Better ADC wins".
Which should be a warcrime when speaking about toplane.

I'm feeling stuck plat 1 and this is admitedly somewhat cope. But I if I win lane on darius, I still feel useless post laning phase and I think this is in some ways because of the ghost change. Maybe I need to sidelane more because his teamfight feels so bad now.
Match number 5 was much more entertaining than match number 2 and 3

I only play Vlad on toplane now, and with the ghost nerf it's not even that good. But at least I'm still a late game carry 🤷.
But it's not only the ghost nerf : what hurt me the most is the Tenacity removal on everything. No one's gonna talk about unflinching ? Even it's rework is 🤮 Tenacity removal on yellow tree for base haste is 🤮 too. Even if i'm a Vlad main, I just play Transcendance if I want haste like wtf.
Darius feels so ass even in arams... Its beyond easy to kite him now. And even if I catch up to a champ, they cc me and its over, they can get away and all my efforts are wasted. Phase Rush is becoming a meta build for Tryndamere rn. I fear Darius may be heading in that same direction too.

About toplaners that aren't ranged, tanks or jg's goodboys, I'd argue with Fiora at this point. I think she's really fkn broken rn but I might be biased
Correct but I'd say, if you look at the best toplaners this patch, bruisers/fighters/juggernaut are just gonna be 1-2 only.
Meh, this just feels like season 6 all over again. ADCs are super strong, except this time tank items are not as strong, but on the bright side we do a lot more damage compared to back then.
my loyalty to Darius is unquestioned. if i have to choose between maining another champion or quit league i'll gladly quit league. plus that Vanguard thing is totally true i started getting blue screens when i downloaded that piece of garbo. this is by far the worst League experience by far and it's not even funny.
