    ►Help For Travellers
    If you are travelling around Paphos and would like some hints about where to go, take a look at our eBook Travel Guides.
    ▬ The Kathikas - Panagia Loop ▬
    Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.

    ▬ Paphos Coast To Coast ▬
    Explore traditional villages, visit a shipwreck and some ancient sea caves, and have a swim or a paddle in some of the lovely beaches. And once you have done it, do it again in reverse, to finish it off with some spectacular sunsets.

    ▬ Kato and Pano Pyrgos ▬
    Do you want to see a part of Cyprus that is loved by the locals but virtually unkown to international tourists? Then let me take you on a trip to Kato and Pano Pyrgos. Located on the North Coast of Cyprus, and on the coast road from Polis and Pomos, these two villages are packed full of charm and some lovely beaches. Throw in some abandoned villages and beautiful countryside, and you have all the makings of a fantastic day out. In this guide we show you how to get there from Paphos and Polis, before taking you on a tour of the area itself

    ▬ The North Paphos Coast ▬
    The North Coast of Paphos is one of Cyprus' hidden gems. In this, our fourth Cyprus Road Trip eBook, we explore the area between Polis and Pachyammos. This includes the delightful Pomos Harbour, the mysterious Dragon Cave Beach, and the ancient Gialia Monastery. Not to mention numerous villages, churches and reservoirs. So come with us and experience a slice of authentic Cyprus life.
    ■ amzn.to/3oskRBz
    ▬ Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni ▬
    The East of Cyprus is famous for its sandy beaches and party lifestyle, but there is so much more to it than that. In this road trip we take you around Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni. We also visit Cape Greco and numerous beaches along the way, as well as other interesting attractions. We even have time to take in the new Marina. The route is circular, beginning and ending at the Sculpture Park in Ayia Napa. If you are based in Protaras or Paralimni you can start in those towns and jump to the appropriate point. We do however recommend coming to the Sculpture Park and starting there, as it is best viewed either in the morning or evening.

    Spent many a happy hour on the strip, especially Cleo's Bar on the corner. It's mad to think I used to drive up and down there. Thanks for this.

    It will be a boost for Coral Bay with the renovation! Too bad they didn't dare to make a real pedestrian street instead and dedicated parking spaces at each entrance instead. What a lively and wonderful place it would have been with lots of outdoor seating and no car traffic! Does anyone know if there are any plans to build a proper cycle path between Paphos and Coral Bay? Today, cycling between these places is associated with danger to life, especially in high season. I think many more people would cycle between Coral Bay (Peyia) and Paphos if they could build a real cycle path.

    Can you explain about the new road between Peyia and Coral Bay that they mentioned? Are they widening the existing road or will it be a brand new road?

    • @mikaelolsson8438
      @mikaelolsson8438 Před 24 dny +1

      It's no problem it will be the same as before. The renovation is also only about 250 meters long... If it had instead been a pedestrian street (as I suggested) then you would just drive on to the next roundabout (if you are coming from Paphos) and turn left at Coral Palace.

  • @paulgrice6682
    @paulgrice6682 Před 24 dny +1

    If you want to cycle from paphos harbor you can go on the coastal path. It will soon take you all the way to coral bay😎👍🔜🚵🚵🚵🚵

    • @mikaelolsson8438
      @mikaelolsson8438 Před 24 dny +1

      I've tested it and some key parts won't be a coastal path at all. Cycle paths are also a bit like motorways, it doesn't matter if it is 90% possible to cycle, but if 10 percent is missing, it still doesn't work. The funny thing is that there is actually a "bike lane" that runs alongside the road if it only could be fixed. In some places, they would have to create a road with gravel or tarmac but it is not many hundreds of meters. In other places, they would just have to clean up so that it is possible to cycle, not a big job.
