@@sanroqueboy6012 -- Oh don't get me wrong, Subriel is a phenomenal boxer. Thing is, his rise to fame hasn't been as exciting as Zayas.
Subriel is 31yo and hasn't been on a major ppv event nor even a minor one like the one Zayas and Berlanga (Who sucks) had at MSG during the Puertorican parade weekend.
Zayas is only 20yo and has 10-15 years ahead of him if he stays healthy, so the support is more on the younger fighter than the older.
I expect, now that Berlanga has shown to be average, that the promoters may tie Subriel and Zayas as co-headliners on a Puertorican parade weekend or even a Mexican Independence weekend against top Mexican opponents.

England 1980. I remember buying VHS tapes from the back of Boxing Monthly and one was Chavez Whitaker and I loved Julio but admired the skills of Pernell. Almost impossible to believe possible (similar to Floyd) but then as a teen watching Sky and the rise of Felix and Oscar I started to see how great he was and then I bought a VHS tape which included Tito against the Olympic medalist and it was 12 rounds of destruction. Anyway I remember thinking this fight would be for Pernell cos I thought he may have beaten Oscar but then...... Tito did some crazy stuff and just proved that Whitaker took his gambles that one fight too many against THE WRONG GUY! 😁😎..... I also later think his destruction of Joppy was one of the best examples of boxing of all time and then his loss to Hopkins was full of literature with that too! His name for me is nothing but respect and I always loved him. (Please excuse me if this was confusing and all over the place but my English compatriot you'll know that at this time of the day it's normal for us to maybe be slightly tipsy from the odd Vodka and red bull with a full pint as the chaser 😎😎😎...... that Olympic medalist!???? was poor David Reid... shame he got thrown to the ultimate Lion.... Thanks Google)

Perfectly done, I would've liked mentioned the third glove (headbutts) on the Hopkins match since the low blows were spoken of against Trinidad. Also DeLaHoya controversial decision to be glossed over. The Mayorga fight was big too, and all the undefeated he took the perfect record from. Overall we appreciate your hard work into all your videos.

Tito is criminally underrated. Back when fighters didn't dodge opponents or waited decades to make a mega-fight happen, this dude basically killed everyone on welter and super welter divisions. He got outclassed at 160 and later 175 to kinda end his career on a low note, but his first 6-7 years dude was basically the best pound for pound in the world.

We should've, if not address, at least mention the De La Hoya fight.
Also, we should've mentioned that leading up to the fight vs Hopkins, B-Hop pulled off a stunt that I believe took Trinidad off his game and fought with anger rather than a tactician: in the press conference in Puerto Rico B-Hop throws down La Bonita Bandera. How did Hopkins escape is a mystery but anger took over. I believe that affected his mental state.

The usual advantages that Tito had over his opponents like reach , size and power at welter weren't in his favor vs big guys in 154-160 like winky and bernard and he coulndt hurt them huge hook of his. Plus tito would always get back up after getting dropped at welterweight and comeback and win the fight by KO but at the upper weights those shots do more damage and it gets harder to get back up and knock guys out. That's all it was

what people outside puerto rico may not know is that he was so beloved here, that after every right there was a HUGE amount of people going to the airport to receive him.
even after his first loss there was a massive amount of people giving him a heroe's welcome.
i dont remember any other boxer who gets such a welcome after LOSING......
not only was he extremely good at boxing, he was(and is) also extremely charismatic. if there's some charity that needs him, he's there. he treats everyone(at least in public, i've never interacted with him) with love and respect.
there was a year in which he won a championship fight and our mss universe representative won also.
there was a massive parade for both of them. she gave him her crown and she gave her his belt. it was all pretty awesome.
yeah. there were parades in his honor. he's probably the most beloved boxer in history.

I still remember my shock at seeing Trinidad hit Whitaker so much. I knew Whitaker was past his best after he struggled with and needed comeback KO against Hurtado and had his inconclusive fight with De La Hoya, and of course his drug habits were legendary, but I never thought I'd see anyone tagging him as regularly as Tito did. It was like looking out your window one day and seeing a desert and the next day seeing a lake. That's how disorientating it felt watching on HBO.
