@@antoniomosley9410 I did, Marvin Hagler is one of my favorite fighters in general. But old school boxers didn't have the slick footwork, angle changes and rope escapes like the new class does. The boxers back then laid the foundation but the boxers of today are just better and that's just something that applies to any discipline.

Heck his opponents Literally will punch and keep their heads in the same position/location which gave him a easy target. None of the opponents from what I've seen even when looking at top ranked opponents would change angles like a old Foreman did. Where is the parrying? Where is the variety of jabs and hooks?

@MarzoTercermes McGirt was just talking about how he had to convince his fighter to stop the fight. At the time of the interview Dadashev was on the way to the hospital. So Bud didn't know the final outcome then. And he kept talking how it was so important to keep his fighter safe, to survive the fight and live to see another day in his career.

Matias is a 1 dimensional fighter that takes a lot of punches. He can't fight from distance at all, all his strong punches are hooks from the inside. Someone that has power and speed and can control the distance beats him easy. Ryan, Teo, and Devin would beat him easily.

In the boxing world, monster do exist, and they look like, Subriel Matias, dude I've been laughing for about 10 minutes, good video.
What makes Matias dangerous is his jab, his ability to cut off the ring and his infighting/being dangerous in the clinch. Matias knows how to reach his opponents because he knows how to cut off the ring and Matias is 5"10 with a 72 inch reach. He has a very good ability to shorten his punches which increases his accuracy. Matias knows how to slip his shots in between his opponents loops. Check the Ponce fight to see Matias utilize this. If you hold Matias you're getting beat up. Matias throws 100 punches a round and he only throws more when the rounds get deeper.

Then when they did finally talk, he was invited to continue talks and if possible, to meet in Arizona. After that Bill just went on a begging spree, desperate for a payday with Tank and Ryan. When that failed, instead of going back to the Matias fight, easy to do, he went for payless fights against Barrios and Broner. He would rather meet his mandatory Martin before the October deadline rather than fight Matias in June.

I first noticed Matias because of his beautiful left hook when he was fighting orthodox, possibly the best in boxing. With his punishing power, head and body attack, relentless pressure, stamina, underrated stance switching, fight IQ, and willingness and ability to take hard punches to initiate 50/50 exchanges, he is a problem that no one wants.

It's important at the very highest level. He's got that lean, and hardened body like another Monster. 120lb champ Naoya Inoue.
Watch the fight in slow mo and you will notice that those punches are not hitting properly.
