SINGLEHANDED: LEAVE THE DOCK WITH A "STERN-TIE" IN LIGHT CURRENT AND WIND ON THE STERN

  • This video features almost calm conditions. There was a very light breeze and slight current from the stern though in the end, it was about as easy as it gets. The point for the singlehander is to guage and predict what the boat is going to do, then watch how it is reacting as you prepare to leave the slip. In this case, it ended up being even easier conditions than I initially thought.

To clarify. In reverse you have prop walk to starboard? Left turn prop? Not as common. Also love name of your boat.

Confirmed when you slid out of slip. This makes me have to think opposite on mine. 😂

Yes -- starboard Prop-Walk. My old boat was port Prop-walk so I had to re-learn! Thank you. I love the name too, however, I cannot take the credit - I bought it with that name!
