I can’t wait to read the other comments. However, this band is beyond exceptional. If you are in the US, please continue reading. I went to Tokyo (area) in January to see them live. I’m older, but this is the most amazing band have ever witnessed; hands down. Yes, I worked security for many bands in my youth, so don’t even compare (you will loose)). They don’t bring their full performance when traveling, but if you play the stock market; this is where your money should be. I have multiple tickets, (not for sale at any price), but have seen tickets next to me going for $3-4,000, which is far more than I paid. There are still tickets available in multiple cities. I suggest you just go and participate. I guarantee you’ll be back, if they ever come your way again.
BabyMetal, generally, play in smaller venues while overseas. Especially in their world tour shows. Japanese shows, they go all in.
That said, their show at the LA Forum nearly had the same level of crowd energy and participation….. Nearly but not yet.
One day, I’ll empty out my bank account and go to a BabyMetal concert in Japan. Hopefully at the Budokan or if they ever go back to the Tokyo Dome.

This is from Makuhari shows on Jan.28 /29. I witnessed both shows at the venue. You saw one octagonal movable / elevatable stage but actually there were two identical stages for more surprising production. Several drones with camera were flying around all over the venue.
Once this opening song by Su and Moa got started, I had goosebumps all over my body. The show was held after the almost 2-year long hiatus after all. Seriously many of audience (including me) were moved to tears and/or dropped their jaws when the gigantic fox wall opened and the thrones came out. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪. What a happy experience!! The Kami band (Eastern = Japanese) was playing on the east stage that was not captured in this video.
After this grave opening, 3 girls performed 12 songs with Momoko Avenger. Did you see 3 (not 2) thrones at 04:43 in your video? Yeah, BM have changed thereafter. Momoko was officially unveiled as Momometal in Yokohama shows on April 1/2 and the 3rd throne was not empty on April 2. I luckily witnessed the shows. What an epic moment in my personal history as I could see the new BM begin 😍
[FYI : In Yokohama, Western (American) Kamis played there and in ongoing shows in Europe, too. They are also great.]
Metal Kingdom is a song that really grew on me. I find that, through learning to play all of these songs on the drums, I appreciate the songs more. This one is also, shock, much better live. 🦊
Schlecht? Definitiv nicht. Anders? Ja… man hört nach wie vor, dass es Babymetal ist, aber seit "Doki Doki Morning" und "Gimme Chocolate!!" hat sich doch einiges getan. Mir gefällt der aktuelle Style sehr gut :) "Metalizm" und "Mirror, Mirror" kann ich dir auch empfehlen.

You're the first one reacting to the live version with live sound, you can hear SuMetal voice much more clear and the Kami Band actually playing, the official MV got the studio album sound as well the rest of the singles. They recently performed this at Sabaton's Europe Tour and everyone was in awe with the new dance choreo.

Actually Karate was not one of their first singles. Karate was from their second album. Doki Doki Morning was their first single, almost 4 years before Karate. Thanks for the Babymetal reaction though and keep it up.
I actualy just, like a cuple hours ago got to witness them performing live in stockholm, Globen. Its the first time ive heard them and i think their songs are grait i just did not know what they where singing at all. My friends did not like it(maybe becuse they just did not give it a chanse) I however thoght they where very intressting to watch live. Still geting used to their songs but i like their music(after i got over the whole J-rock part). Dont get me wrong thogh i have nothing against J-rock esc music (like Utsu-P witch is one of my favorite artists) i just usaly lisen to Vocaloids. Hope I can see them again sometime

To me it's just as much about the music as it is the rest. The music is PHENOMINAL. But what do I know, I've only been a professional metal musician for 40 years...

Feels very much like an anthem to me. Su-metal's voice is highlighted and very beautiful in this song, but this performance did not do it justice. The studio version is obviously much better. She struggled a fair bit with the new songs at their first two concerts, *probably* due to multiple factors like nervousness, new vocal techniques and lack of live practice. The audio for the WOWOW broadcast has also been somewhat cleaned up with pitch correction and auto-tune. I saw them live last week and one of the songs they performed was Metal Kingdom. I am very happy to report that Su sounds a lot better now, it was in fact very similar to the studio version. I recorded most of the songs and have been re-watching them to fully absorb the awesomeness. 🦊🤘
