If Scottish football actually had a TV deal that was financially rewarding instead of insulting, then we could at least understand why TV dictates kick-off times. But, when the deal is embarrassing in comparison to down south, it just makes it worse.

People are forgetting that the Scottish Cup is the oldest cup competition in the world and that in itself should prioritise itself over anything else….especially tv money. The SFA should be ashamed by their decision.. absolutely disgraceful.. honestly, didn’t they think about the Inverness fans? Clearly not.. hugely disappointing

completely agreed mate. I understand the sympathies with traveling supporters, especially wee lads from inverness. But from a financial standpoint it would be pretty silly to compete with Man city - man U FA Cup final.
12:30 is a better time. Plenty drinking time to celebrate after game. Helps international audience as well. Less people will stay up with a 2:30am kick-off for Oz after Wembley. Play before as good lead in gets a bigger world audience.
I know it may seem a pain the arse for Celtic fans that the Scottish cup final has been moved to 5:30 but I feel, even as a Celtic fan, that it is a real disrespect to Inverness fans who need to travel often well over 3 hours home if the game finishes around at the earliest 7:30 especially when they loose.

Nice thought mate was lucky enough to meet most of the Lisbon Lions including wee Bobby buzzbomb..at my time with Celtic boys club in the 70s...all were true gents and always supported us at fund raising functions etc...always felt Bobby and Billy mc neill were the most gracious and approachable..sorry to here Bobby isn't doing to well...thoughts and best wishes to him and his family from Belfast...Hail Hail

Not all Celtic fans live in Glasgow, fans coming from Ireland, England and far places in Scotland, especially when bringing kids.

Also for international fans it now means ko is 2:30am in Aust east coast instead of midnight.
