Daemon is awesome. He will kill anyone for Rhaenrya, and has. On more than one occasion. I'm all here for it. In fiction, this kind of dark romance story is so addictive. Everything bad he does is for his family, not for selfish reasons. Even wedding Rhaenrya was his way of making their House stronger. And he does love her, genuinely.

Daemon is a ruthless warrior. On the outside he seemes too cunning and prideful to ever put anyone before himself. But in truth, he fought for his brother's throne, and at the end of his life he fought for his wife/neice's throne. Even thought he might seem selfish, but his loyalty to his family comes before his flaws.

I loved the video, I hope you make more videos when the second season of HOTD arrives,I wanted the series to show the other side of Daemon, Matt Smith he recorded scenes of Daemon hugging his daughters because Laena died and there's another scene of Daemon Suffering on the beach because Visenya died she He would be It would be the first daughter of rhaenyra together with daemon but HBO preferred not to show this side of Daemon and I think that is very sad,Matt, he made an effort in the scene on the beach, imagine being in the middle of the sun on the ground where there is sand and taking a bath in the water because he's on the beach, it must have been very bad, and even then they didn't put it The scene in episode 10 they put more was very fast different from what they recorded where Matt spends a lot of time in the middle of the sun ,I hope they improve Daemon in season 2 because in my opinion the most poorly built character is Daemon Targaryen

Hi! I just wanna be very clear and state that I do NOT condone incest in real life. This is just an edit I made of a fake coupling in a fantasy show. I think it's safe to say that me and all other people who do ship Daemyra know that it's not real and we're able to differentiate real life from the show. But I completely understand if some people aren't comfortable with this pairing & I wholeheartedly respect their opinions.
To address your other point... I think it has to do with the characters themselves. People didn't like Cersi and Jamie together because obviously yeah, they were siblings but also because they were the main antagonists of GOT; you're expected not to like them (individually & together). In House of the Dragon, Daemon and Rhaenyra are the protagonists - they are fighting for Rhaenyra's rightful claim to the iron throne. In a way, the series has made it so that you want to root for them (individually & together).

it's a bit complicated lol... but I think if you watched game of thrones first it'd be easier to understand. Both series are set during a time period where marriage is basically just a political/economic proposition where the woman is expected to birth as many heirs as possible. And sometimes to keep blood lines "pure" or to strengthen their house, families would end up marrying other members of their own house. I know it's super weird to think about it happening in the present but for a fantasy series set a long time ago it was pretty common. Daemon and Rhaeynra are an example of this but they also genuinely love/care for each other, which is why I think they resonate with so many fans.

i mean get they’re targaryens so it’s not the incest that bothers me it’s the age difference that does. yes when they actually get together they’re consenting adults but daemon started being flirtatious towards her when she was 15/16 and he was in his mid 30s. i know that the show aged him down from the books so i don’t understand why they couldn’t make the age gap even smaller
