    Now the disparity is clear between these unions with lots of money (All blacks, ABs) versus small nations (Samoa, and pacific nations) that just play with pride, passion and heart in their own home soil!
    This was the first game vs the All blacks held in Samoa.
    With the ABs having lots of class players yet Samoa showed when given a chance to host them, (and having their own stars to play) showed that they can match it with any big rugby nation.
    Need more tests like these in the islands, as well as allowing our tier one stars that have been dropped to play for their heritage without any issues or stand down periods.
    But then again it's about the commercial viability (money) for the big unions.

    It’s not the skills of Samoa that lets them down, it was the No arm high tackles that were so persistent in their game. Now the rules have changed they are having huge problems playing within the new laws.

    • @jireh2360
      @jireh2360 Před rokem

      There was never a problem qith the game before, the only problem was that polynesians and maoris were genetically superiors physically without having to put muscle on so they could still play the game at a high pace so the northern nations introduced this tackler at fault rule that put onus on the tackler no matter what mitigations were at play, this ensured the polynesian boys couldnt intimidate their opponents as all the opponents had to do was duck into tackles and the onus was on the bigger boys, this is how the northern nations evened the playing field out, they took away the strength of the physically superior man.

    • @teocarre4026
      @teocarre4026 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@jireh2360 sounds like a load of coping tbh. Did you stop to think that maybe NH teams have evened the playing field because they've got the money and player population to develop good grassroots rugby? SH teams always had the advantage before because rugby was more popular there so they could develop good teams even in the amateur era, but now that we are in the professional era the NH teams have the financial incentive to help grow the sport and this has started to pay off in recent years.

    - No arms
    - Late
    - High
    - or when charging with the ball in hand, elbows pointing forward
    - Rucking recklessly
    I am personally happy there are rules to make sure teams like Samoa (and others of course) stop this dangerous type of play. Samoa is one of those teams you know will beat but that also will injury at least 2 players due to reckless contact. In today's rugby, they would get 2 red cards and multiple yellow.

    If the pacific island teams like Fiji and Samoa and Tonga and Rarotonga had all the professional help and equipments they be awesome teams but there governments are corrupted and waste the money World Rugby give them.

      They do now with involvement in Super Rugby, especially when Fiji has had all the facilities and equipment only missing out on a professional team of their own to bridge the gap towards the national teams from age grade and local competitions.
      Drua are outstanding so far, and Moana Pasifika not too bad either since the latter is basically representing all the pacific island teams even though the former is for Fiji.

      @@marcelohendrix6139 No Marcelo........ The endurance is what drops american football players. In Rugby Union the average play time is 53-65 minutes. In Rugby League the average play time is 60-70 minutes. In american football the average play time is 11-18 minutes.
      They ran out of breath. Tackling had minimal to do with it.

    The title of this video: Rigby's Most Violent Match. Samoa vs All Blacks is racist and discriminatory. How many punches thrown during the match? How many players being carried out due to being assaulted during the match? How many player getting red card because of the violence? This is what hard, real rugby is about? Both teams are quite capable of dealing with the physicality of the game. It is obvious that the person who wrote this title probably never play rugby in his or her life. Go watch tennis or table tennis.

    The modern game today is all mobility, handling nd passing skills nd reading the game nd that's expected from all the players to act nd adapt to what's presented to them on every phase of the play.Basically to think on yr feet nd act accordingly.Today every player is expected to show leadership qualities cos it's Gina happen where yr decisions can affect the results of a game. That's why the sport is no more seen as an amature sport but professional the guys gets paid to do a job. And this thing of hard hitting rugby is always good its after uv made the hit u need to know how to execute yr next move after uv decked yr opponent. And provide continuety in yr play.
