Amazing work as always. The fine detail on the boot bottoms and on the jimmy icon man is fantastic!! You really put your heart mind amd blood into every project you make jimmy. And it shows!! 🤜🏻⚡️🤛🏻
Love the tools that were used, it's a salute to the people who had previously worked with them and the people who created them ( new and old, tools) plus yourself for keeping them alive, love doing bit of leather work myself. A great process to watch and a fine quality end product.
I love that fly press. What a machine. Cool wallets! I wish I'd had that discount code when I bought new Carolina boots two months ago. Little late on that one, Jimmy. 😂
Brilliant simple designs, sized to standout on clear backgrounds, strongly sewn, any colour you want, slim for tight pockets, each saying buy me, I am what you desire. Thanks for sharing!
Is there anything you can't do. I love watching your videos they inspire me to create projects and makes me challenge myself to do better every time. Love everything you do Jimmy keep up the great work definitely looking forward to your next video.
That fly press reminds me of Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet. Is it just me? Well maybe if it were painted black. Thanks for posting, and thumbs up!
Beautiful, Jimmy! Amazing looking wallets! 😃 I love to watch leather work! Some day I want to try it myself as well! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Awesome! People use the phrase " jack of all trades, master of none." Jimmy is the master of all trades. Wood, metal, leather, plastics, photography...it's awesome!
Welp, I have a new project for my laser printer and fly press now! That is one of the issues watching Diresta's videos - chocked full of ideas and stuff that I now HAVE to do.
Ingenious use of the scrap material to make the placement forms. Now you have me thinking of other ways to use that concept. That's why I like you, you're a catalyst.....well, you're a pretty nice guy too. 😉👍
jimmy I am from Syria my friend I am very happy that I have been following you since 2010. You are a wonderful and very talented person. I hope to meet you. Thank you for all your beautiful craftsmanship. 🙏👍💯🌹
I was excited for this video when you shared your thought and design process for this wallet in Making It, but it was even better that I imagined. Do you think a bench vice would give enough pressure to do the imprint? I’m sure I could carve negatives in old cutting boards with a rotary tool, right?
A bench press should give plenty pressure, especially if your negative isn't crazy big. I apply smaller stamps (~1" diameter) very comfortably by hand. A stamp the size Jimmie is using, I clamped with some F-clamps. A bench vise should be fine as well. I used printing press dies of an old cartoon (3 windows side by side) and some carved shapes in hardwood as well. The wet veg tan leather is really easy to shape, just try any method and there's a good chance it will work ;-)
I love this wallet design. It's very similar to the one I carry. I made it about 10 years ago from a design I saw on Kickstarter. It desperately needs replaced. 🙃
who would have thought it takes so many steps and effort to produce it. it only makes sense to do it in batches, and it still feels very labor intense. the final results are very impressive. I wonder how much they will be going for?
Gotta say. i am curious what woiuld be on the tool wish list for someone like Jimmy Diresta. When you have an industrial leather press like that lol!! I wonder how much such tools get used on a weekly basis. Super cool.
I enjoy watching your design ethos at work, and applying it to my own crafting. Thanks Jimmy! One question.... Is that a Sonic Screwdriver next to the ice-pick in your EDC at the end, at 9:51?
Thank you all for the kind words ! The material used for the Dies is Corian .. left over from the trailer build
Those look like shit quality
The boot prints are like a Diresta/Carolina version of a snow angel!
So fun to watch!

Edit was cool. The skiving machine was cool and I liked how the corian gave it that texture. Great job. 👊🙏
These boots are made for stampin’ and that is what they’ll do 😎
And one these days these boots are gonna stamp all over you.
Nice! I would totally buy a wallet kit.

Very cool. I sure wish I had the tools that you have.
GENIUS!!!!
Killer. Love the use of hand tools and machines. Thin wallets are my favorite. Great style.
When i first saw this I was like, what the heck is a shoe wallet? Thought it was a wallet for your shoes. Nice craftsmanship!
I was excited for this video when you shared your thought and design process for this wallet in Making It, but it was even better that I imagined. Wood may show the wood grain of the stamp, which might be a cool effect. I use a few f-clamps or long throat c-clamps and that seems to work.
Thats one nice press.

Would love to see some videos revisiting your first attempts and how you have grown in skill over the years.
Jimmy I clicked I like it even before I saw the video, I already know for sure it will be a good job. Un abbraccio
Definitely one of your coolest leather projects to date. Would you consider making the files available so we can 3D print our own stamps? Thanks!
Sure send email to jimmydiresta@mac.com

I wake up on a Saturday morning, grab a cup of coffee and see this before starting my day. Does it get any better? I don't think so! Thanks, Jimmy!

Jimmy, you need to put these up for sale!
Hello Jimmy! I really, really enjoy your videos. In which video do you make your gaffer boxes?
Those are awesome Jimmy! Will they be for sale on your website at some point?
very cool!!! great job!! So what was the material u used to make the dies with? What kind of glue u are using? I use the Barge cement.
I always learn something from your videos....this time it was "you can never have too many clamps"😁
I like so much your products

Can you slip a sheet of RF blocking fabric between the leather to make the wallet RFID blocking? 💡
What is the initial material you started with? The grey stuff that looks like some sort of plastic
I think he said it was corian. Can't remember if it was on Instagram or on Making it.
@@Torsan1977 awesome, that would make sense
I thought it was aluminumand I was thinking, "that's some awesome laser!"
On second look it was probably Corian.
I was wondering the same and guessing it was acrylic. Good to know it's Corian.
Yep Corian
