Cal Jam II: I was there!!! Never forget it, at the old Ontario Motor Speedway. 300,000 people, biggest crowd I've ever been in before or since. Wall to wall people packed in tight as far as you could see in every direction. I was 26 years old, just moved to AZ from upstate NY. I had seen Heart once before in 1976 when they were an opening act at Saratoga Performing Arts amphitheater. Back then lawn seating was $4. Usually opening acts don't get much attention paid, but when Ann started singing I was like who are these guys! Been a fan ever since & have seen them live several times.
Will add that there was a large skydiving demo, two DC3 formation load done over the event. That inspired me to take up skydiving six months later which I did & continued for five years & 400 freefall jumps.

ALL of today's female "entertainers"...not singers.....couldn't hold a candle to Anne Wilson when it comes to singing. Anne was the best. and no female singer today is even a distant 2nd place. HEART RULES!!

Ann Wilson and Linda Ronstatd.
