Ann Wilson surely was a gorgeous, statuesque, raven-haired vixen back in the 70s! And one of the greatest voices in American history (best rock voice in my opinion).
I was at this concert with my former shipmates Bob Wing, Jeff Siegler and Don Sherman and a pretty lady I took with me - Bob drove us from Long Beach to this concert in his Camaro
Oh, God! Yes, Katie . . . . And the song is almost marks the 40th year anniversary for non-native English music listeners, like me (now, Jan 2020.) I love this Magical Song ever since I was a refugee boy from the Vietnam War and as arrived to the U.S. in 1975 (at 10 years young) I was mesmerized by the magic of this song which I often heard on the radio.
I was somewhere in the back by a fence! We didn't leave the house soon enough to get a good location. I will forever blame my cousins and their friends for that. LOL
We were camped out somewhere in the middle and my gf (who was 5 feet tall) grabbed my hand and pulled me to front so we could see Heart and Ted Nugent up close. And everybody moved out of the way! Great concert! I'll n ever forget it.@@Sherdelune

Damn, this brings back memories. Me and 300,000 of my friends. $12.50 a ticket, perfect day, and not just Heart but Aerosmith, Foriegner, Santana and a few others. Kids, this is what we did for fun.
I was at this concert with my former shipmates Bob Wing, Jeff Siegler and Don Sherman and a pretty lady I took with me - Bob drove us from Long Beach to this concert in his Camaro
Ann does look great here. Back then I think Heart was a very underrated rock band. Ann had a great voice,Nancy was great on acoustic/rhythm guitar and Roger on lead guitar was amazing. Now they are more appreciated.

@@guitarttimman Yep, the Fisher bros had already started out back when the Wilson sisters were still dreaming of singing and entertaining their parents while holding hairbrushes or carrots in their hands instead of microphones.
I was 16 years old, I'm in that fucking crowd right about the middle, now I'm 56, I'm going to go see Ann open for Jeff beck in July.. I'll never forget this day.
I was there too! If you saw the girl who was on top of some guy's shoulders against the fence, that was me holding her up. And wow! What a show! I was 17 at the time and it was our first date. Good times...
I was at this concert with my former shipmates Bob Wing, Jeff Siegler and Don Sherman and a pretty lady I took with me - Bob drove us from Long Beach to this concert in his Camaro
I can't believe how she was pulling off those extra high notes and staying on key! That must have been a real strain on her vocal chords. She was so amazing!
I just couldn't believe how great this band always sounded. I've never heard of them having a bad night! Anne's voice was always perfect! How did she keep it up for so many years? This is awesome!

Wow! Ann shreds the mic. I wish Nancy had been more fond of the electric guitar. She is great on it, but could have been a phenom if she had liked it and played it more the last 35 yrs.

so wish i was born 15 yrs earlier. late 60s - very early 80's was the absolute best time in rock music...ALL types of rock. so grateful for youtube and all you wonderful people out there who post such great footage. thanks so much. peace : )
Heart was the 2nd rock concert I ever saw. It was at the Kentucky State Fair, it may have been this same year, late 70's I can't remember. They will always be one of my favorite group. Oh, the opening act for them? Walter "Magnet and Steel" Egan. Remember him?
Maybe you don't know that the Wilson sisters categorically refused to sell sex over music. Not once. They were so determined to be judged by their music alone that they gave up a lot of financial success over the years. They were not only extremely talented, but they knew what was right for women in a field dominated by men - judge our music, not our bodies.
I was at this concert with my former shipmates Bob Wing, Jeff Siegler and Don Sherman and a pretty lady I took with me - Bob drove us from Long Beach to this concert in his Camaro
I seen her in real life in 1977. Her and Nancy were super SUPER fine. I used to have post of them on my ceiling. I had girl friends and I'd lay on my back while dreaming about these girls. LOL.
Best female rock singer ever

This Heart line up was and is the absolute best of all time.
Heart kicked ass here. The song, the singing, the guitar, etc. When you play well and rock hard people love and respect it.
I was there up front for Santana Heart &
Ted. Ann Rocked the world that day.

Same here. Remembering when it broke- it was way it's own sound...
Same here! I was only 5 years old when the album was released in 1975 but I have heard it numerous times since then and it never gets old.
The guitar pieces in this song are mesmerizing…..as are the vocals. Fantastically crafted song.
Standing in the front row for this one. Fucking incredible!!!!!! Hard to believe 40 years has come and gone. Good times!

I had just turned 19. First time I saw Heart live and saw them again a few years back. Amazing!
I have grown to appreciate Roger Fisher as one of the greats. He had these unique tasty parts. Always played for the song.
Greatest female rock vocalist of all time--hands down. And a great band.
Roger Fisher is an amazing musician. This band is Great of course!!
Her voice. Unbelievable.
The best lineup of Heart ever...
It's the ONLY lineup of Heart that's even relevant!
I didn't know it, but the rest of the band members were actually quite a bit older than Anne and Nancy. They actually started in 1964. What?
@@guitarttimman Yep, the Fisher bros had already started out back when the Wilson sisters were still dreaming of singing and entertaining their parents while holding hairbrushes or carrots in their hands instead of microphones.
Yep, 4 names. Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, Howard Leese and Michael Derossier
This is one of the best rock/vocal performances of all time. I'm surprised it hasn't been seen in a year.

Nobody else could hit the notes she's hitting at 1:55 and 2:41. That's insane!
Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Well deserved!
I agree!

No guitarist can play Magic Man quite like Roger Fisher can.
That Cal Jam II stage didn't have the personality that the original Cal Jam stage had in '74...
