In this video I talk about the warriors and how powerful they are in the Warcraft lore. Going through some history and the notable races tied to this class. After that I explain how exactly they work in the lore and what are their abilities compared to the in-game ones. Feel free to leave your thoughts on what you think about about the warriors and how powerful they are in the world of warcraft franchise. Do keep in mind that this video series is just my own opinions based on the available lore facts.

Mage: I've got arcane magics.
Druid: I can shape-shift and make plants grow.
Warrior: ...And I've got a sword, and I'm fucking pissed.
And I have enough expertise to wield all kinds of weapons and I am the most skilled with it. I don't need stealth or magic to do massive damage. I can wear the best armour that can protect me from magic. I am not bound to cast times and can move freely and fast over the battlefield
I like to see the best warrior as if they were some genetic freak who transcended their mortality. Jumping 10 meter high, carrying 2ton and cutting through metal with their own sword
@@bigmonke2899 So basically I am an Andy.
So you want the Orc from the burning crusade's intro that sliced the 2 naga in half and kept going.
Pretty powerful, but they still blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals.
That was so puny i forgot to laugh! XD XD XD
savage
Weeaboo Jones really? You cant grasp the concept of a team called the warriors losing after having a 3-1 lead?
@@thefrayindavison im assuming hes a diehard fan lmfao
Lol
Powerful the other classes may be, but when their spells and projectiles bounce off my armour, they'll understand that no amount of power can stop my axe from severing their head from their neck.
Nothing is more powerful than a stout heart and a blade that strikes true.
Warrior for Life.
This+ligth
This+no honor+ necromence
It's the reason I main warrior in Classic. There's just something about interrupting a mage's polymorph or a warlock's fear with a hard punch to the gut that makes me go "screw your fancy spells, take THIS". Best feeling ever.
The main error I usually see in videos about warriors is that you don't make the difference between the common warrior/foot-soldier and the warrior class we play.
The warriors we are playing are the peak of mortal physical condition and skill. They are war and weapon masters and strategists. They have the best battle instinct of all classes and the body to follow-up. They are people that have devoted them-selves to the art of war. They are not mere soldiers.
As for any other classes, the warrior class is composed of exceptional individuals. As not anybody can become a mage, not anybody can become the kind of warrior we are playing.
Thibaut Sonnet truth
Aye, the warrior you play is more like The Hulk or Conan the Barbarian. Rage gives them more power, they heal faster than normal through cellular regeneration, their battle instinct is top peak and the strength of over 30 men.
Warriors will always be the most badass and fun. I mean they let you feel like you can depend on yourself without any magic or pets to achieve glory... Their simplicity IS their key factor
In fact they can
it takes far more skill to be a warrior then a hunter. so yeah much more badass.
Agreed! Everyone is using magic while we just get pissed and smash everything lol it’s awesome
It's the class I play when I wanna just be in the savage don't think just destroy the problem kinda head space but the lore behind pally and and dk is far more believable and more immersive in the 2h plate, but if u want lore power DH mage and especially lock scratch that itch
@@demonpride1975 Idk about that....(butchery, skinning, tracking, marksmanship etc. What does warrior need to know? They are just meatheads.)
You keep applying real life metaphysics to a universe where people who call themselves warriors can jump over 40 meters and dropping so hard they break the ground (and dont jump with the "game mechanics" excuse, abilities are themed to each class, so they do have lore relevance; its why you dont see a warrior throwing frostbolts and mages doing meele) taking these levels into consideration we can assume that these races are extremely resilient when compared to a real life human (yes, humans in wow are stronger than real life ones) so what may seem like a disadvantage in the form of magic to you may not actually be to them, they live in a world where magic is all over the place, they HAVE to adapt to it or they wouldn't have survived this long.
If you would apply real physics in this ranking, then the Warrior would use the cast time of magic spells to throw a weapon that is in reality with cloth armour and all always deadly or he would take cover or he would simply dodge because spells are a lot slower than arrows. Ice bolts would simply break on the plate armour, firebolts can be blocked with a shield or something. If in reality a common mage attacks an common warrior, he would lose. It is also harder to master the art of magic than the art of combat. That's why there are so many warriors within the main heros of Azeroth, more than mages. Because you have to be very talented to be a great or master mage but you only have to do right training and have the right teachings to be a real warrior and not just a soldier.
@@bigmonke2899 tadaa heroic throw, tadaa shattering throw. seriously dude. warriors have many skills that can be used against casters.
@@demonpride1975 yeah right? And while they only do a number of damage in ingame, they would probably oneshot a Mage with cloth Armour in reality
@@bigmonke2899 the point to heroic throw is the pushback, shattering throw was to destroy barriers.
@@demonpride1975 yeah dude but my point is that the guy who wrote the comment tried to debunk warriors with real life mechanics. And if for example an arms warri would throw his weapon in real life, he would have a big disadvantage. And also no matter what name the throw is, when a 2h weapon that is bigger than you, comes at you, you're dead in rl
I always play a warrior type character in every game. The fact that you're just a guy with a sword and yet capable of taking down magic beings that should be far stronger than you is just so awesome to me! :D
The warriors we play as are also well versed in psychological warfare and guerilla tactics, terrorising their foes with mighty roars and sudden flanks.
Also the warriors the player plays is vastly more magical than normal warriors. They legit heal through rage
We are the weapon masters, we depend on our physical and inner strength, bravery, honor, pride, strong will, determination, loyalty... no magic can stand against this... don't underestimate our power, we are the war beasts, battleground is our playground :)
I'm a bit surprised you didn't mention the human knights as a warrior subclass. There's nothing quite like a guy in 60 lbs of steel armor (or based on Warcraft armor, probably more like 200 lbs) charging at you on horseback.
The main reason is because the video would have been an hour long as theres almost 10 different warrior types for each playable race. Also in the warcraft universe 260 lbs is nothing when you have a 1500lbs 10 feet tall tauren.
Doronsmovies
Okay. So you just had to pick a couple types. Understandable.
knights are completely different too warriors.
I apologize for the big delay with this video. Didn't have internet for about 4 days so it was impossible to record any footage. Also in regards to other classes, I will try to finish this series hopefully by the end of this year.
Doronsmovies thanks for taking your time to do these videos, they are very much interesting and well made!
Thanks, appreciate it. :)
Thanks Dorons, great video.
Doronsmovies you should do monks next!!!
hey Doronsmovies thanks for all the great content. I know you've got alot to cover but I'd love to see some new priest videos, it seems people have alot of misconceptions about them.
I just realized... they should allow a few more empty-appearance slots. Imagine a Tauren with no pauldrons, chestplate, gloves... just leg armor, hoof armor, and bracers.
A FUCKING MINOTAUR BOI'S
I always preferred to not have too much armor on orcs and tauren. Although armor would be their biggest strength since a 600kg, 3.5 meter tall tauren would be able to wear insanely heavy armor without breaking a sweat.
Doronsmovies yeah there'd be no point to all that muscle if they're not using it to wear more xD If WoW had one of those versatile skill level systems that's not necessarily better (like in skyrim/eso) Tauren would be OP with that heavy weight lifting.
I mean imagine Tauren casters with plate armor xD
Dancer of the Frigid Valley rx,,ydydyd
Fury warrior for life here. It's funny because in RPG's, I usually go for the assassin type but decided to go fury because I saw how epic it was to dual wield 2h weapons. No regrets.
What about a gnome warriors? they can bash your shins in
gnome warrior are the biggest bullcrap in wow. It makes no sense at all (even in wow logic standards). They would fight a pissed orc wielding an axe with what? a fucking Spoon as mace and a pan lid as shield? cmon..
They can literally be killed by rats. Either it was in a quest I read or a story somewhere while mentioning how they made the deeprun tram.
Cynical Nitro it was in the book beyond of the dark Portal :)
Like Garrosh said...............YOU NEVER HAD THE STRANGTH OF A TRUE WARRIOR!!!!!!!
and then he got destroyed in a 1v1
@@Sodacacik against an also powerful warrior and the goat shaman in Azeroth. I think it's no shame he lost
That's the point. That's what makes the difference between just a foot soldier who only wields a weapon and a warrior who has much more strength and better training than any other soldier. It's like comparing knights or samurai with the footsoldiers of their time. It doesn't make sense.
@@Sodacacik yes and thrall cheated, don't agree with me, that's why the elements don't answer to him anymore. even the elements knows he cheated. that's also why doom hammer doesn't work for him anymore.
@@demonpride1975 thats not the reason the doomhammer and elements dont work for him
Doron I've been looking forward to this video. And it's tough to argue but I think ya gotta give warriors of Azeroth more credit. It's a fantasy world their strength is super human at a certain level like the players. Plus magic armour that makes them bladestorming tanks can't be discounted just like a mags learning a spell that's within the world a warrior being strong enough to use this equipment in the world to balance it should be taken into consideration.
*warrior logic*
"Yea YEA you think you're tough? grab this sword and fight me, toe to toe!"
"Trolls are especially special, They have naturally build-in regeneration" Sooo ummm not going to address how easily Voljin was taken out by a fel guard?
M4xxY vol'jin was poisoned by our enemies
Fel Poison
It was a single blade.
Varian took two and it didn't show signs of him dying by the fel poison
He was impaled completely by a blade with fel energy. Sure in gameplay demon attacks don't really affect us that much, but in lore fel energy feeds off of life, so it could definitely counteract Trolls' regeneration if the wound was lethal enough. As much as I hate Vol'jin dying the way he did, that's the way it went. I'm hoping that there's a way to bring him back, he does have the favor of Bwonsamdi, the Loa of death so maybe that will come into play later.
Maybe trolls cant regenerate through fel poisoning?
Amazing video Doron. I also loved your clear cut ranking in the video. Great editing on getting the many different trolls also. I was very impressed with the editing in this video.
I don't know, I think warriors do still use magic, in a subtle way. It's the only way I can think of to explain Varian being able to apparently increase his mass enough to have impact on a fel reaver just moments after we saw another human warrior in full armor clang off it to no effect. Most of the playable races in warcraft have some sort of magical ancestry, from titan creations (humans, dwarves and gnomes) or elementals (orcs) or wild gods (tauren and pandaren (probably)) or so on, maybe warriors unconsciously tap into dormant abilities from that heritage somehow. Like, the Avatar ability was originally from Muradin in WCIII, and was clearly based on the same temporary titan boost that the dwarf racial is based on. You could say that when another race uses the ability they do something similar.
Orcs are descended from the Collossals who are a titan creation of Aggramar to combat against the Wild Growth in Gorgrond.
ummmm his mass was increased because he was infused with the spirit of lo'gosh a warrior spirit.
“Now, watch them attack me. Pitiful! Do they think to take vengeance for their fallen? Do they come to challenge ME? I, who have won a hundred wars? I, who stood alone against thousands and still shouted for my enemies to come? No, these saurok will crumple before me like paper before the flame!”
- Skeer the Bloodseeker
Dude. Garrosh killed a mage/dragon with only a shard of glass while being shacked on all body parts. Magic doesnt give you a slight of hand what so ever against a skilled warrior.
Also, if we going to talk about it "lore wise". Any magic user needs a tremendous amount of time before even being able to cast something that would be effective enough to damage someone instead of just pummeling him.
He tricked Kairoz. In a 1v1 duel, Kairoz could literally eat Garrosh so please, check your facts...
Ah you noticed Garrosh used a warrior ability called taunt and his cunning to defeat the dragon not his power. Remember most of the spells in game are not really spells. When a warrior for example taunts a target to attack it lore wise all he is doing is cursing and calling the guy out. Battlecry is just some fucking guy yelling something inspiring, not a spell.
You're talking about a named person. This seems to be about skilled warriors w/o being named and having a legend/hero status.
what about grommash vs mannoroth ? and that druid
You're wrong man....no one can be as strong as warriors and no one can beat them in melee fighting...the cool thing is that great warriors can survive to spells that would kill anyone else, just because of their strength or their armour.....they don't need undead or demon powers, and they are stronger than dk or dh....just think at grommash: thrall, one of the most powerful characters in wow lore, was not able to scratch mannoroth, and he fell down just because he hit his head on a rock; grommash, one of the greatest warriors in Warcraft story, because of his warrior strength, jumped so high that he reached the demon without being hit and he destroyed his enormous armor....or think at varian who killed a demon bigger than stormwind...
Francesco Giacovelli honestly, skill>magic
"They don't need undead or demonic power"
Me: (Thinks about the forsaken and orc bloodlust)
"Great warriors can survive to spells that would kill anyone else"
Me: (Remembers Bwonsamdi's quote to warriors on death: "All that heavy armor didn't do ya much good, did it? Haha haha)
Also, the monks were made specifically to fight warriors. Zhu only lost to Garrosh because his foot got stuck. Why he didn't fire a Chi blast to keep Garrosh away while he got himself loose is beyond me.
Cynical Nitro Because he didn’t have time to do so with fuckin Garrosh going 100% on you that’s the scariest sight you might see in your life. Another reason why Zhu < Garrosh
@@cynicalnitro8416 his chi blast did nothing to garrosh besides pushing the monk back himself
Honestly, if they gave body types in WoW, like beefy, to more fragile, i'd go orc, or even the berserker troll models would be very cool to play.
Actually this video is quite innacurate. Especially with the new legion info. Warriors currently are so powerful to the point that a single leap can launch them several kilometers in the air. They are so strong that they can withstand a fall from kilometers dropping like a meteor with absolutely no side effects. Their strength is that of thousands of normal mortals and they are almost demi-god levels of pure strength. Arms warriors even though they might be a little weaker than Fury warriors are insanely powerful and have an unrivaled mastery of melee combat.
When it comes to purely melee combat. NOBODY can beat a warrior face to face. Broxigar was a very good testament to this. And current warriors characters lore wise are stronger than Broxigar. Throw a DK, a DH, A paladin or anything. If they just stand and have a brawl against a warrior they will have their shit pushed it.
This is why I love legion. Because it gave us a very good idea as to how powerful lore-wise we are as per class.
All of those are because of The Artifacts, you take godly weapons and no matter what class you are you would be powerful
In game information is exaggerated or changed compared to actual lore (books, cinematics, etc etc)
DH and DKs are both more than a match for them as DKs are just as strong and enhanced by necromantic magic and DHs are used to fighting opponents more than twice their size and Strength
Of course though like all things it depends more on the individual than the class
toxicTerror agreed
for example a blood DK with the Maw of the Damned can just feed on the blood and soul of even the most powerful warrior, consumming him without sustaining any injuries
the artifacts are making heroes way more powerful, able to defy gods themselves
toxicTerror I'm a noob, may I ask what a DK and DH are?
Death Knight,Demon Hunter
ANimouz yeah man warrior would slaughter them!!!
im a warrior and i kill demon hunters in my bg`s everyday
that's what I'm saying
i kill warriors as my pally in bgs every day
@@Ubertrollz69420 i think the point he was making, is that just because warriors don't use spells, does not mean they are pointless.
demonpride1975 I meant that in game they can be easy to deal with if they dint have a healer
great video, please do monks. i think monks are interesting and cool because while almost all other powerful classes draw their power from outside sources (arcane, fel, the light, nature, the element, etc.) the monks power comes from the chi that is with in them self.
Funnily enough, I and a few of my roleplaying buddies were discussing this. Lovely finding a video about it.
this is why when i play DnD i always have it set up so warrior type classes have the potential to have super strength, yaknow like punching so hard they can kill a mortal man or being able to break iron with there hands, having really tough bodies, just stuff like that so they dont get curb stomped by every other class.other than that i loved the video : D yay
TL;DW
Warriors are the Warcraft version of Astartes, nothing but their ridiculous bodies, tools and their wits. They go toe to toe with augmented people, beasts, demons and literal gods and say "yeah, this is an even fight."
warriors have to be the best fighters.. how could a class that uses magic and melee be as gtood at melee as a class that only uses melee
Pure logic,no one beats warriors
I love your opinions about duels against other classes, pure gold, keep the good work
All these videos are teaching me is how Mary Sue like DK and DH are in the lore, like besides fighting a god or something how can they fail. but thanks for the video this will fuel my rage on the battle field. Time to see how magic users fare without hands
My top favorite classes: Warrior and Warlock tied for 1st place, Mages for 2nd and Shamans for 3rd. The Warrior class is a nice wall and even dps if you need it, I just love their versatility.
you forgot about Varian Wrynn - champion of the Ring of Valor, where he subdued many other classes, and also killed Onyxia, and also one shoted guldans epic infernal at the broken shore
As a mostly vanilla player(private severs atm, cant wait for Classic!)warrior is my fav class to raid on.
The leveling is the slowest and worst of all the classes, but they scale so good from gear that once you get your pre raid bis your kickin' ass!
And same for pvp, at first not so great but get a lil gear and you can do some damage, nuttin like 1-shottin clothies :)
They need to give warriors some more lore man. We need a character with storm bolt and shockwave etc and explain why we are able to do that. Link it to say blessings from elementals if we earned their favour, or our heritage as titan constructs or something. Blizz pls give us some love...
you have broxigar.
Stfu.
Cameron Smith o nice one character whos never shown up in any game and never will. No need to be dick mate.
what about muradin? can he not use storm bolt?
Thorim is based off of thor which uses lightning, so there is your storm bolt
Actually the shock wave skill is pretty easy to do. Just hit a fucking mace with powerful strength in a shield, and there is a shock wave. Or hit two swords against each other.. anyway, did you get the idea?
If a warrior is on the same level as a paladin, the warrior can't win, go read world of Warcraft Paragons. The part about the blood knights talks about how the paladin channels the light through them to empower them, like demon hunter & death knight they have magic that makes them surpass normal strength.
Grom Hellscream One-Shoted Manaroth ... twice :) while Illidan got Knocked out by a random Pit-Lord in their invasion on Mardum.
Warrior: 2
Demon-Hunter: 0,5
I know this is an old video, but I really do think too little credit was given to warriors. It seems you are comparing the average foot soldier to high mages for example. I mean you want to see the average mage, go to the broken isles and do the mage academy quest line. Yes they are ghosts from long past, but that used to be one of the most/if not THE most esteemed magic academy in the world.
I would honestly put warriors higher, they are supposed to be the BEST fighters there are, while the DK, DM and Pally uses magic to support their fighting capabilities. Look up Varian and how much he accomplished and if your gonna say he is a lore character so he don't count... Fine, but then you gotta take out all the other lore characters as well for the other classes.
While it's true that if a mage get a drop on the warrior they can probably win, that goes pretty much for anyone against anyone... The element of surprise is one of the most powerful in tactics.
Oh as regards to DM's, most of them use glaives... A cutting weapon. Most warriors use plate and some even shield. Which means that it probably ain't gonna do much as a cutting weapon is literally the worst weapon to use against plate armor, except for maybe like a wet eel or something silly like that.
Also a druid in animal form would probably get thrashed, they got little defensive capabilities as they have no armor and their weapons are their teeth and claws. Again, that would pretty much not work against plate and if the warrior can stand their ground and keep their heads cool it's pretty much GG.
Oh and my main is a mage, before you call me a fanboy...
Do rogues!
warriors can defeat any enemy, they just need a good weapon, they don't even need armor
and what's more, if you give them an artifact weapon that has some kind of magic, and an artifact armor, it would be the most powerful class that ever existed because they would use weapon magic on each of their blocks and attacks
That moment when "Guts the Black Swordsman," in his Berserker Armor, shows up and wrecks every other hero in the WoW universe.
This is...interesting. One thing in the warriors' (and other plate-armor classes') favor, would be that unlike D&D, there are no armor penalties to skill checks or movement speed.
'What about survival hunters? They are a melle spe now.
Grom Hellscream One-Shoted Manaroth ... twice :) while Illidan got Knocked out by a random Pit-Lord in their invasion on Mardum :D
Warrior: 2
Demon-Hunter: 0
You forgot one thing Doron: Most warriors cover their body in full plate armor, almost impenetrable. Especially Protection warriors, are a nuisance to every class. The most talented of prot warriors (wielder of the Scale of Neltharion) could really match any polar of the other classes just due to his incredible defensive abilities, and mastery over weapons. Also warriors are the best at wielding weapons. That's something to take into consideration. And although magic is very powerful in Lore, there are obvious materials that ca utterly nulify that opr eve best any other material that their opponent uses as armor, such as the materials Helgar uses for his weapons. I do agree that Warriors are probably the most flexible of classes, in the sense of they can be as weak as a peasent, but they can also even wound titans, constructs or even become a one-man-army.
their armor wont do anything vs being with high lvls of magic or ones with high armor vs high lvls of magic too like DK and pally. Lore wise they are pretty weak compare to others.
Jody Boles Specific armor with specific ways to nulify certain magics are very effective, as I said, warriors are the most power flexible class. Plus my main argument here was more against other plate armor users than magic really, but if you want an explanation then materials like Saronite help nulify certain magics and can be used in specific fights, but I'll give it to you that a destruction warlock would desintegrate most warriors. Also you're forgetting the factor "shields" and as I gave an exemple, the polar of a protection warrior would definetly give one hell of a fight against the Deathlord or even the Ashbringer. And btw, magic users in plate armor usually go so far. Paladins, for exemple, to be extremely effective need to wear certain types of armor, such as Mithril or Truesilver or in some cases purified saronite, metals that can easily channel the power of the Light. Dk's only use Saronite. And if a warrior is using, say, an Arcanite Bladebreaker, you will die unless you're a prot Pally.
Billy -Elawhore- McBill Good luck killing Dk even more so a blood one that will drain your life away lol. Those armor can only do so much and since they dont have no real abilities like Dk and pally do then they just dont stand a chance regardless what you wear.
Jody Boles You are underestimating how powerful metals found on Azeroth are. And again, Truesilver and Saronite are not really that much of a big deal compared to something that's specifically made to surpass any material found on Azeroth (Arcanite Bladebreaker). Also you are forgeting that there are materials sturdier and fair exceptionally well against other magics, something that Paladins and Death Knights are limited (While Both classes can only wear certain types of materials, sometimes sacrificing protection, warriors can grab the strongest material without giving any fucks and make it into an impenetrable fortress). And do keep in mind most warrior polars are incredibely resillient, they won't just fall down or completely be rendered useless like most classes if they are hitted by a disease or having their life slowly being drained (How do blood dk's drain someone's life if their spells can't get past their armor? I mean, Blood Dk's don't ave the destructive power Warlocks have so I really have difficulty in trying to understand what would Blood Magic do to someone who's wearing full metal armor with additional reinforcements on the games and wearing a chainmail made by the same material as the plate armor wth a fair ammount of magical properties that can aid against other magic effects such as Blood magic). An exemple is Broxigar resisting the spells up to 3 Night elven sorcerers and he was wearing no armor whatsoever. Again, I'm not underestimating other classes and I do think warriors, on average, are kinda weak, but their polars have unique abilities, traits and skills that are the key to most victories. hence why they will surpass anyone in melee combat and even give some tough fights against magic users (especially trained prot warriors).
By the way, I'll say again, the part where you are complaining is where I am talking about the wielder of the Scale of Neltharion and the Arcanite Bladebreaker argument was used to proove that warriors can receive weapons that are far mroe superior to Death Knight or Paladin metals. In terms of melee, they are obviously very powerful and are more flexible in choosing what they want to wear, but I do agree that they get utterly destroyed by classes such as the Mage or the Warlock with the exception, of the polar of the Protection Warrior.
Billy -Elawhore- McBill you act like the armor resist magic entirely which is not the the case even more so if the magic is very powerful. Even the best armor will lessen the effect of magic at best when face against very strong magic even from pally and DK.
Also Blood DK can drain your life because it doesnt block it entirely and the Dreadlord has Maw of the Damned. A weapon so strong that it can suck the life away from any being. Hell it was made to drain/kill Kil'jaeden. If its strong enough to drain the life of him then no armor will be enough to stop that blade haha.
Even if you have great armor and have Arcanite Bladebreaker, it still wouldnt be enough compare to a DK or even a pally of the same level since they have so many buffs, healings and DKs bring able to weaken you with diseases and overall undead allowing them to fight harder then any warrior could ever dream. Besides they too have weapons that are strong if not stronger with powerful enchantment and runes to empower it beyond anything a weapon can be made out of.
Overall the warrior is only as good as the armor/weapon they will along with skill too but DK has that along with tons of other things to make it almost unstoppable at its best compare to warriors.
as you said warriors of equal skill, to casters like mage priest and warlock of equal skill. that would be a very tough fight to predict. i mean hell i imagine even khadgar would have a hard time fighting brox. warriors like grom are beasts. as for the fight with garrosh and terran zhu, that wasn't close at all. sure he got a few strikes on garrosh, but garrosh was just shrugging them off.
doron explain to me something. A tauren is a bull right he is already a animal then why would he become another animal.like in a druid form
Taurens aren't bulls. They're based on cows but they aren't cows. Cows still exist in WoW.
ohhhh right
Gufran Tagar They are humanoids.
Matinee Reis humanoids are the races with some human characteristics as hands
A better question is why a worgen druid would need to turn into a cat.
An even better question is why a worgen druid would need to turn into a saberon.
I would like to see a little reference about enhancement shamans in melee classes comparison =)
Isn't Maiev Shadowsong just a warrior that actually could compete against Illidan, who is probably the strongest demon hunter out there?
i came to the conclusion that away from superior streght. they can use weapons and armour with magical properties, or made from ancient and rare materials
10:37 that axe looks amazing, I want my orc warrior to have one like that
How Powerful Are Voyeurs?
As I said I love this show, but my wow main class warrior is the weakest class prob followed by rogues, wich makes me sad cause they are my favourite classes in-game );
Just like the fact that the good ones acomplish their fame with the disadvantage of not using any magic in a world full of it, wich is amazing!
Nice work with the video!
Next time in an arena"Oh, thank God, they have a warrior -piece of cake, boys ". He casts Bladestorm....alt+F4
You gonna do just playable classes or others like Necromancers?
I hope you have something spooky for Halloween.
I was thinking about doing something special for Halloween and there was even a collab planned but probably nothing will happen at this point. However I do plan to talk about other non playable lore classes.
Doronsmovies
yey
everyone talking about warriors but a skilled shaman would body a warrior
Warriors are the most skilled class in any kind of fight just because they cannot depend on anything other than muscles and mind... Think about it, the class is about combining tactics, using tools like body, reflexes, surroundings, mind, motivation etc. and the result is a fighter who can adapt any situation. They can concentrate on a goal while creating a solution on the move and thats not a thing any other class will master because of other special powers they depend on. Not saying others wont be creative but they are not likely to 'master' it coz stuff like stealth, magic, ki, summons'n'shit are makin those classes focus on brutal power or tricks instead of mastery over warcraft. Yup, i think warriors are like the most elegant fighters when it comes to it coz they spend more attention on themselves and their arts than any other class do. Sargeras is a good example for this, he is the pantheon's frontier guy, his story is a struggle on life. Experience creates the space devil in this case but whatever his motives are, when he sees other titans as a threat he finds a way to end them. Being a warrior means that your profession and specialty is 'Finding a way' and i think someone with better morals than Sarg may someday be salvation of all things.
btw i play a mage -.-
I think you overlook alot of the in-game abilities of the 'warrior'. It can ALL be explained with pure adrenaline and endorphines just pumped up and exaggerated to the point of.. Well, 'Fantasy'.
In a world where god level enemies & world ending scenarios r just another Tuesday, these guys wield axes & swords relying on their own strength & trainings
From that alone u can see how badass warriors are
Hey dude, Sargeras is a Warrior, well i mean was in the past... now is a Fell-Infused Warror :D.
And he defeated the Pantheon alone, and they are full of Spell casters :).
Warriors in this setting CAN be the VERY BEST. Problem is, the CLASS is usually LOW. That's what matters. Almost anyone can train to be a warrior, and almost every warrior is essentially fodder in batter, more meant to die than anyone else, but the ones that survive it all, or ensure their side's victory, or die the most glorious death - they were among the best. The warrior is the class that says that the battle is above all - it doesn't matter if you can (insert spell etc) if you still get countered and die.
Dude, anyone can be anything, dedication is all that is needed.
Tell that to the dead Demon Hunter trainees.
Well... they weren't dedicated enough :). Groom Hellscream One-Shoted Manaroth... Twice :D and he wasn't a Demon Hunter. And Illidan got knocked out for a little by a random Pit Lord on his raid on Mardum, in Harbrigen Illidan.
Uh, ok.
Just a thought on what the next video could be about: What is a shadow hunter and why is Vol'jin the only one.
U forgot blademaster are enable to use magic, they used to use illusion power's in w3.
Great Video! Please do how powerful are the monks or shamans
Doran, watching your footage of this one, I'm wondering...
Would you be capable of remaking the wrathgate cinematic in higher quality?? xD
The cinematic doesn't hold up as well anymore to the newer models
No way that would take a years worth of work. Also I think the reason for that is because before they did machinimas similar to what youtubers do and now they do it all in a 3d program so animations and the environment look a lot more natural.
Doronsmovies Yeah you're right, it's the only real explanation. It's still tragic though!
Old or not, that cinematic is still one of the most amazing, in my opinion. The old models don't even bother me. Putress's voice just makes it.
Some Putress did in fact make it perfect. And his contributions to the lore just make him a really cool character to think about. He cured the plague that occurred before wrath of the lich king and then he did this shit at the wrathgate. He's really cool. I just don't like that in the end he turned out to basically be the puppet of a dreadlord. It makes his death feel somewhat tragic imo.
But while the cinematic is great, Bolvar's mouth and beard just ruin everything. The only old model that looks good enough in the cinematic is undead Bolvar, and Tirion, strangely enough.
Putress looks great either way just because that's an awesome set to begin with though.
*WOD PLAYER ALERT*
thank you Doron for showing who the best Character in the Lore is! Broxigar the Red!!! Best Person ever! I cried a little when he died. :(
Hum, I think you underestimate the Paladin here, they are closer to the level of a DK than of the one of the a Warrior, a Paladin, by his nature have immense potential, as is strengh come from his faith, and we have see that it can be determinant in famous duel, like the one between Arthas and Uther. Sure Uther was not any Paladin, but Arthas was...well Arthas, and without the help of the LK trough Frostmourne and the one of his minion, he would have die against Uther.
You forgot one thing, Doron.
Of course, warrior have access to magical weapon, but thats just like anyone else...
They are the best class WIELDING IT.
I mean, a warlock, or even a monk can't strike Sargeras like Broxigar did.
Are you sure they cannot do that?
well warlocks are physically weak as fuck so I don't think he could even lift the axe nor close the gap to make the strike a monk maybe but monks are trained more in hand-to-hand combat than weapons like a warrior is
That Guy You say that (Warlocks are physically weak), but Gul'dan is pretty jacked, yet is a warlock. Gul'man. Now, not saying they're all on par with melee in strength or anything, but just living and fighting in Azeroth disproves that spellcasters are weak.
MC Kappa If your talking about Gul'dan from the movie I would like to point out that the movie and games have separate lore, but in the Nighthold raid we are fighting Gul'dan and a model as been found awhile ago of him looking very "jacked" but I'm pretty sure he was being empowered my Sarageras himself, (it doesn't say his name it just says master)
That Guy No I'm referring to the WoW variant of Gul'dan. It's just simply reasonable to assume that all adventures (Especially Player characters) are physical fit, regardless of their class.
Gul'dan is an orc, so it's unlikely he would be frail. Not mention the blood he consumed, and now as you mentioned, Sargaeras (Though I thought it was Kil'Jaedan that has empowered him?).
I mean I think it was pretty clear when thrall decided he no longer wanted to play by the rules...
Well, in the lore spells aren't just instantly cast and require focus. most even tire out their caster after only a few spells. So if the warrior could avoid or simply survive the few hits.. they would be a very big threat to any caster. Also, you are compairing the warrior to ingame versions of those classes, in lore the average mage, priest or even druid know just a few spells. And healers require either prayer, or concentration for their heals to be used. Meaning the warrior could be all over them in seconds.
Warriors are the best class. I'm sending this to RagTag. Filthy Casuals.
8:18 I would classify them more as a Warlockish Rogue
Honestly Broxigar was only able to accomplish that due to the axe Cenarius have him. Not on Broxigar's own power, give that axe to anyone who can wield it and they probably could have done the same thing.
idk you got to cast spells first if a warrior is fast enough he can finish the fight before it starts just like in the wow movie it took some time before the mage could cast a spell and u got to remember that any caster has to focus on his spells which gives so extra moves for the warr
so broxigar is Warcrafts version of skarbrand (40k) skarbrand hits khorne on the armour just like broxigar hits sargeras and khorne proceeds to throw him like ten thousand miles destroying his wings on impact (can't regenerate them because khorne caused the injury).
Well... Warriors spend their lives training their physicallly. So they are the peak of physical fitness any mortal could achieve without magic. They are experts at weapon arts. For most warriors their main strength isn't physical strenth, or their compat abilities but the fact that they are tactical geniuses. That means a lot, thats why the most famous warriors on azeroth were warlords, commanders, generals. That is why you get to fight a lot of adds on warrior bossfights, because their strength relies in winning battles with tactics.
And then there are berserkers... Berserkers learn to use their rage, it is known that when your body fills with adrenaline you don't notice injuries, feel less pain, and "become" stronger. It is just your body that removes the restraints that protect you from harming yourself, in the warcraft universe you can understand this like they are capable of nearly killing themselves while fighting because their body allows them to use everything, this means torn muscles, broken bones just because their body limitations are removed.
FYI guys. All he said was a speculation we can all say that warlocks are more powerfull then warriors seen when Guldan just rooted Grom like an easy prey.Monk and Warrior are similar is also confirmed anything else mentioned is a speculation.
WHAT is a voorrior and a dvoorf, also i don't understand what a vooorgin is.
Make a video for mages please :)
Definitely will do it. I am kind of saving them for later though, already got a lot of things planned that I want to talk about.
Ok thanks alot for replying ^_^
monks seem very powerfull with their chi based attacks,so it will surely be an interesting video
His voice is so cool, keep up the good work man
Taran Zhu vs Garrosh... Garrosh was getting his ass handed to him until Zhu's foot got stuck in the bridge. had it been on solid ground Zhu would have won.
Can you make a video about how a specific race got to be which class, i mean you kinda do it in those videos but i really want to know more details on how, for example the bloodelfs came to be warlocks. (sorry for the bad english)
And to the casters vs warriors, dont forget, they have to cast their spells and if a warrior gets near them it should be the same as with hunters.
Blademasters nethier Need fancy armor or weapons, and are more like battle shamans that Focus more on their physical skills. They Focus their Training at perfect strikes, as well as being agile yet strong. With the help of elemental spirits they get even more enchanced, to a point they turn invisible, create illusional copies of themselves and unleash bladestorms with their burning blades. They move with the swiftness of the wind perfectly silent cloaked by magic that's all around. This type of warriors can pretty much fight all classes. But they are a rare elite. But it's hard to Count thoose as mere warriors since they rely on booth, their skill with the weapon as well as their elemental magic.
It's been nearly 12 years... yet Gnome Warriors still confuse the hell out of me, even more so that it took us this long to get hunters for them... should have been the other way around.
Hell I even have one, you know... for shits and giggles :P
J have a question .In lore who should win ? A troll warrior or orc warrior.J know that victory depends in most cases on experience but it two warriors with similar skills fought
In lore average warriors look like your average joe... but as a playable character warriors are almost like demi-gods or like Hercules... or even close to Thor
True warriors defy this pitifull magic with rage, will and pure hatred.
It seems there is no point of comparing classes to demon hunters as there is always the same answer. "Demon hunters would win because they are so agile". Not sure how agile would they be without a head, because a warrior would cut it off, or againts a druid when they would be caught in roots and probably torn apart or a death knight who needs one small cut to start killing them slowly and painfully, because they might be agile but have no way of healing their wounds....
Another really good video. Thank you.
can you please make a video about Varian vs Arthas ???
Short answer Varian dead Arthas victorious (If it was undead Arthas) or else probably equal
no in the varian book it was stated that varian was always supurior than arthas in close combat (sword or bare hand) thats when they were still teens i guess? however its a diffrence if undead arthas is stronger than varian.
I really thought that when you make the videos you take a deep look on characters but for warriors seems you have no clue.I know that im not the only on telling about the Varian or Muradin and some others that you didnt mention but since you know lore Varian defeated Dragon he defeated the greatest Gladiators blademaster everything in arena lastly in the end he even killed a fel reaver now for Brox as much as he is a legend he is only cuz of hes axe not cuz of skills.Out side of axe he was a decent but not great warrior.Seems that you lore for warrior lack a bit but keep up the great job.
Dude you don't take a master Like Varian as an example of warriors, you need to think of the class as how powerful an average warrior is not of the achivements of the best warriors in history. If we go by your logic then warriors still don't rank that high since Thrall as a shaman held the world together as the Earth Warder, Warlock Guldan can sink and raise an island by himself, Medivh is such a powerful mage that Deathwing didn't dare fight him, Tirion as a paladin broke Frostmourne and healed and army of players all of theses are greater than Varians achivements. I love warriors I have a blood elf warrior that I really enjoy playing on but Doron is right the average warrior tends to be weaker than an average of most calsses, except priests, monks and rouges.
Thank you for your reply but I didnt said to put warriors higher rank compare to the others just put the strongest of them on the list when he talked about mages he mentioned the strongest on and their deds so for warlock and all but for warriors didnt and priest are stronger than warrior we have seen anduin mind controlling the dwarf from si7 and for Varian he saved the world many time he could end the hord when we defeated garrosh has killed the onixia. For tirion he was defeated he just caught arthas while channeling so and thrall didnt saved us he just damaged the deathwing we were the on who defeated him I dont give credit for that. So varian he made the world at peace when he could conquer all at mop do tell me now who have better deds.
I dunno what the state of the class balancing is now, but I was always able to fuck up death knights with my warrior.
paladins were always terrifying though.
Not crapping on the
monks class but garrosh hellscream tore his ass up. Lok'tar Ogar!!!
Spell casters don't have that much of a advantage because you forgot charge which you mentioned they had and most of the time they are squished so you need to take that into consideration
Nikad ne bih provalio da si iz Srbije😊 u svakon slucaju, super video.
Does anyone remember the Race Stats?
dwarfs big health
taurens big strength
