You are absolutely correct in your approach in my opinion. Exploring the FULL envelope with an eye towards understanding should be part of every initial flight training program.
You do great work Jason, thanks for these vids it's become a part of chair flying when I can't get airborne. Great topic!
Did my BFR recently with your friends at Rexair. Slow flight was a big part of the review. Thanks. KAPF
Hey Jason, thanks, your private pilot program is great! I work at the FBO in Ocala, I’m looking forward to meeting you one day and maybe take a training flight together.
OK, Once my plane comes out of maintenance I am going to practice clean to dirty to power off stall. Another great training event to learn what my plane can do!!!!!
Great work Jason!
Thank You 🙏
Excellent Video. Thank You.
Your series, Safer Pilot Challenge, two years ago in January I was introduced to slow flight down the runway. It was a game changer in more ways than one. It taught me to know "my Numbers" and how to control my airplane at lower airspeeds. I learned how to transition to different phases of flight with a focus on improving landings. Slow flight principles are all encompassing. Its why I love MzeroA so much!!!!
Absolutely, how else would we practice the configuration and speed of when we land? I have a video on this myself, it's by far the exercise which had the biggest effect on my landings. Cheers!
Good stuff Jason, are you using the word "gouge" when referring to your teaching method (not just to pass a test) I'm not understanding that. Thanks.
Looks like a fraternity dude
Nobody ever talks about why!
