    I'm a genius for making two videos out of the same footage. Disclaimer: this is one POSSIBLE fix. If your TPMS light is blinking, the battery in one of them is probably out (and you'll just have to replace the TPMS sensor). But yeah, I didn't realize there was a TPMS sensor in the spare tire as well. Good to know. Now you know as well.

    Thanks for the video. I also checked all 4 tires and they were all good. Came across the video doing some research. Did not think of the spare tire…. that would not have ever crossed my mind. All good now thanks

    Thank you so much for the video!! My light came on this morning and it made no sense since I just checked all the tires a week ago. But when you mentioned the spare tire, it all made sense as that was the one tire I didn't think to check. Sure enough it was low and after a quick fill, the light went off. Thank you!!

    T4R 2wd 2013 owner here : did same procedure , almost knock out myself searching for the darn reset button , 5th gen at least preface , 10 to 13 don't have , just fill with the right pressure the 5 tires and the stupid light will go out on 5 seconds , (if is not blinking) .

    Nope my 2018 SR5 has no TPM sensor in the spare tire. I dropped it the first time since new. Back to Square one😢

    Thank you so much for your video, it helped me sort out what was going on with my 4Runner's TPMS indicator light. 🙂

    Wow! Wouldn't take too many brain cells to figure to face the valve stem down so can just air up from underneath. Then we can cheer and do patty cake.

    That same TPS light is on, but also associated with the multi terrain function light. So multi function does not work, possible center?

    Not all 4Runners have a sensor in the spare.

      How do you determine if yours does? I have a 2015 Trail Edition.

    😂 oh well you gotta know your spare is flat in case you go in a trip

    You don’t need to drop the spare tire I’m telling you can get to the valve stem without doing all that

    And if the spare isn't the problem, how do you get rid of the light till you replace the sensor on whichever one is bad?.

    • @Bootstrappin
      @Bootstrappin  Před 5 měsíci

      I suppose that depends -- is the TPMS light flashing? If so then yeah, that would mean a bad sensor on one or more of the wheels, and you'd have to get it replaced. I don't think you can disable the light, maybe just put a piece of tape over it until you can get it fixed and manually monitor your tire pressure.

    Buy an Autel TMPS tool. It will help diagnose that light when it starts Flashing and when you must replace each sensor as they die every 5-6 years.

    • @Bootstrappin

      Is it worth it because otherwise you can't tell which one has gone bad?

    So what if my spare is set and the rest of my tires and the light is still on? I bought my runner brand new. It's a 2019 with 20k miles. Very misleading video
