So far, best game of mls this season. Crazy atmosphere, Heated rivalry, sexy finishes, and picture perfect storylines. Doesn't get much better then this folks.
This is the best rivalry in the league. In every single match, both teams play top quality football, and the atmosphere is electrifying. Keep up the great shows.

Portland and Seattle are always like that. Go to other stadiums in the mls and they are almost as empty as they were 10 years ago
Yep don't listen to Bradyn Sporting Kc, Real Salt Lake, Philadelphia Union, Vancouver Whitecaps, New York Red Bulls, New England Revolution, Chicago Fire all have great support
Bradyn Baez lies. the average attendance in MLS is going up by the year. a new record of 19000+ this season and not to mention Chivas USA, the lowest attendance in the league (7000), are gonna be gone next season

Great game. Great crowd. Was shown on TV in the UK and a lot of people have been raving about how good the crowd was. And rightly so!
Timbers crowd was good, but how about those away Sounders fans? We were drowning out Portland at times in the second half, you could hear on tv!
77atatme Yes mate. Especially the last ten minutes with that "Seattle Sounders Ole, na na na na na na" :D Love how MLS has kept the segregation, so you have an away "end" at some games because travelling support all tend to be up for it.

Man, Portland's fans are crazy! Love it!
Part of the noise was actually Sounders fans. On the last two goals from the Sounders you can clearly hear the Sounders drums and the Emerald City Supporters chanting "Take 'em All"

I watched the whole game and I can remember at least 4 VERY clear chances on goal that aren't shown in this video, and I'm sure there were some others too.
Yes, I know that they should have made a 20 minutes video, but believe me, the game was even better than what you see in these highlights.

He may have saved the sounders, however his side was burned the entire game.
Max is right, they kind of exploited DeAndre. He got kind of exposed, many times. Anibaba had a rough game too
This is a good point, but I don't think his 1v1 defending was the problem. They were overloading his side, he was getting caught in 2v1 situations a lot

Such a crazy game to watch!! Wow, I was on my feet the whole game.. Sucks Seattle scored those 2 goals late, defense absolutely has to lock down in the final minutes but all in all both teams looked like top tier mls teams.. RCTID!!!

You know Dempsey was not in the top 10 candidates to be predicted MVP for 2014 but know he has 4 goals and 2 assists in 210 min (2 starts one sub) but now I think him and martins can have a chance of being better or as good as keane and Donavan. Also portland have not won a game yet. Sounders support>Mls. Go sounders. ECS.
Was listening to this game and damn it was exciting. I wish I had been close to a television to see it! This rivalry is intense and as a Sounders fan I can say that the draw was very well deserved for both team. MLS is getting more momentum and I'm glad to see the amount of talent coming out of all these US teams. Yedlin and Dempsey were amazing today!
As a Brit, I don't really understand the hate that the MLS gets from European fans. Surely the growth of football/soccer in USA can only benefit the sport as a whole. The salary cap means clubs spend more on attack than defence, and in this match the goalkeeping and defending was very poor at times, but that only adds to the excitement.
I wouldn't even put it on the goalkeeping. Defense hung the keepers out to dry.

John Strong is such a beast of a commentator. Which makes you wonder why teams like Colorado and Kansas City bring over 4th rate English accents to make the game sound boring for everyone watching.

I honestly feel that Dempsey is one of the GREATEST if not the best player on the planet today. He belongs in the ranks of Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Riberry and maybe even Pepe to name a few. Dempsey can always find the balls.

"Dempsey can always find the balls" Dempsey was just suspended for sack tapping another player about two weeks ago. I'm guessing the first part of his comment was just troll bait for that punchline. It was subtle, and I LOL'd. If that was his intention 8/10. If not, maybe he is just a fool. Who knows.
Best game of the season so far!! And it was so jam packed that this highlight video could easily be another 5-10 minutes long & still be interesting.

Really wanted a Portland win, they really looked to have deserved it with some great goals and chances (Nagbe hitting the post and the corner)
A draw was deserved in my opinion, they both missed very good chances and some chances were unlucky.

I did not get to watch this, I was tailgating for the Orlando City game. These highlight gave me chills though. Love what we will eventually have against Miami and Atlanta

Game of the year, maybe best game in league history, though I would have liked to see 3 points Timbers got close at 6:30 and 10:00, Sounders are extremely lucky to get a point. I'm pumped for August 24!

Weber tossed the ball onto the top of the goal as Dempsey was about to recover it to waste time. Dempsey obviously was amused by the stalling tactic.
