Thank you for your video. This is the second year in a row that I had to watch your video in order to braid my garlic.
Your way was the easiest I've found. Having the stems pointing toward you as you braid is the secret. Thank you!
Grew way too much garlic this year (no such thing!).
My daughter and I made two big braids using this video. Turned out beautiful!
Great Video No nonsense, No silly music. Thanks!
Tie a knot like I meant it 🤣 Braiding garlic, I never would have thought of that. Awesome!
This is the first year we've grown soft neck garlic. I'll be trying to braid it. Thanks to much Laura for sharing how to do it
Harvesting is in two weeks in New Zealand, can't wait to give this a go. Thanks.
P.S. Any lady that manages to break jute rope with bare hands has plus in my books :)
I grow a lot of garlic but always struggle with the braiding. This is a very straightforward method and works for me. Many thanks
How long do you let the garlic cure before braiding?
I laughed at the jute breaking, because as soon as you mentioned it in the beginning I said "aw man im gonna snap that jute trying to tie it"
😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Thank you for this excellent refresher. It’s been about 20 years since I braided my daughters hair.
Although the garlic is not as delicate to work with, it won’t be wiggling around as much.
I dont mean to be off topic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot the password. I love any tricks you can give me
@Gibson Colton thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out atm.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Gibson Colton It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my ass!
@Armando Timothy You are welcome xD
How long do you dry them before doing this
14 days.
This is the *BEST* braiding video!
What a great week for your family! Here’s to a lifetime of family vacations!!
Thank you, for an easy to understand explanation 😁
Thanks for keeping it simple... love how it ends up.
Thanks for the demonstration. Tied my ones in bunches yesterday. Will now go an re do. Your way.
That's beautifully done... 😍 Your hands..... Really a hardworking gardeners hands !!! Adorable video ... Keep rocking !❤
It does look so pretty and the garlic harvest is healthy.
Thanks for this! I tried and My wife gave me a thumbs up but I do think it was a sarcastic Thumbs up ha
I just made my first garlic braid. Thanks for sharing your method!
Thank you gorgeous girl, that looks so professional & yet so easy to do.
Planning on a fall/winter raised bed garden. Lots of garlic in my plans. Will definitely use this method.
@ 1:15 in and I'm already like, "Get it, girl!" lol I love it and, yes, I'm gonna do mine just like this. Thank yooouu!!! 🤗
G'day from Monika in Australia. Love your video and just did my first braid, thankfully it can only get better. Cheers
Thanks for this, nice, easy to understand video. I'll be sitting down with my box of garlic tonight and having a go
Mine turned out so good after the third try! I love it! Thank you
Love it! (I couldn't do it the old school way either). It's so great when people leave their little stuff-ups in because I can almost guarantee that I will do the same thing and it's nice to see how someone else manages it too.
Perfect! I'm harvesting mine in about a week. Yay!
That's awesome, looks a bit harder than I would have thought and I'm sure I would need some practice. I would love to be able to grow, braid and store my own garlic someday. I love cooking with lots of garlic!!
I love this . I was wondering what to do with my dried gourds. The biggest I got this year is going to be a bird feeder. But the small ones I could make fairy houses with. Thank you Laura.
The best demonstration ever, bravoooo
thank you this was so helpful!!
I usually keep the nicest cloves to plant for next year. They have the most energy and are the most adaptable cloves for my area.
My husband was watching a video on how to braid garlic and didn’t get it, but TBH, he doesn’t know how to braid at all. I told him, “I’m sure Garden Girl (my name for Laura) has a video.” Perfect!
Turned out really nice. Sure beats hanging them from a piece of twine like I usually do.
Thanks, Laura!
Outstanding information. Clear. Simple. Precise. Effective.
That is so pretty.
My grandma used to do this and hang them in the kitchen. She said it kept the bats away
Very well explained, thank you.
oh that was lovely, a beautiful braid and bow. That is the way we will do ours. We harvested today here in Nova Scotia, a wonderful bounty. Appreciate your video. Thank you.
I want to grow garlic now just to try this 😆
Brilliant!
thanks for this video. I get so confused when adding new to the braid. Not as easy as you make it look. Thanks
Excellent - thank you. I'm off to buy some garlic!
Thank you
Excellent method of teaching tnx Lol
Looks great..is that hardneck garlic?thx
My garlic here in France is so small but strong - i will try this thank you! I would like to save some for next year but i have only about 40 so will not!
Cool! How long will this garlic (and onions, and shallots) keep fresh if hanging in the kitchen?
This is soft neck garlic?
Thanks!!
Well done
The bow & loop look like a fine pair... 😂
What garlic did you plant?
Do you have to let the garlic dry out a while, first?
Yes. It needs to cure for a little while.
nice
طريقة سهلة جدا
What types of garlic did you use? It looks like you used some hard and soft neck garlic.
How long will the garlic last?
Where did you get the jute string?
Anyone know what variety of garlic this is?
Good 😆😆😆😆
Good to know! 🎃 🦇🎃
Do you need to cure your garlic first?
Is this already stored and cured for a bit before braiding ?
When you see it being braided, it is dried & yes it is cured. I hang mine upside down tied individually to a wooden clothes airer for 14 days to cure, in a protected area from sun & rain.
❤❤❤❤
i couldn’t do it, thinking maybe It dried out too much
This is the video I always reference since I forget how every single fricken year! You'd think I'd remember, but nooooo
