- Join us for the second half of our magical first day back in the Walt Disney World parks! We pick up as we are leaving the Magic Kingdom and heading to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for character dining. We have time for a look around the shops before our reservation. We share all of the character interactions plus ALL of the food! Then I set up our new Magic Band + and share the process before getting back on the Monorail. Cry all the happy tears with me watching Happily Ever After before the perfect Disney after dark ride. Watch all the way to the end if you want to see my delirious tired ramblings about the day and to hear what is in store for the next episode.

The Magicband+ also reacts during shows like Fantasmic, as well in certain places on some rides (like Haunted Mansion)l.
I live in the Chicagoland area and I call fountain drinks Pop! My husband calls it Soda! Looked like a magical first day in the parks! I teared up seeing the kids hugging Minnie! I’ll be leaving for Florida on the 5th to visit my parents! No Disney World but hoping to go to Disney Springs! I’m glad your husband realized the camera was facing him that would have been disappointing reviewing the footage and it’s just on him the whole time!!
Pop is a UK term too. We don't really say sodas here, but I assumed that lots of the US say that? It seems to be the term used in Disney. We just call them fizzy drinks really x

When I was there in the fall, the DAS areas for the fireworks filled up SUPER early and my mom and I also knew that trying to leave the park after the fireworks is always nuts, and with me being in a wheelchair it would be really tricky. We have seen Happily Every After before so we opted to go to the bus stop and watch them from there- they play the music there and you can see the fireworks perfectly, you just can't see the projections. Our bus came while they were going but the driver waited until they were done to pull up/make us load, so then we got to leave right away and before the crowds made it there!

It will be my first visit with my 3 asd girls. So there is a DAS area for fireworks and shows? Getting overwhelmed trying to be prepared!

We just visited WDW in January, stayed at the Contemporary Resort and ate at Chef Mickey’s! In fact, we sat just one table away from your table. Thoughts on the room? We are also a family of 5, we looked(online) at those rooms but thought that perhaps they weren't large enough but idk?
Honestly? The room was much smaller than the one we had in Art Of Animation last trip. Equally, we literally just slept there, we didn't hang out here, so it didn't matter x
