The shirt game has been STRONG these past few videos!
Super excited to hear your thoughts on Sir Callie and the Champions of Helston once you get around to it!! It ended up being my favourite read in April --- everything I personally want when I read a MG fantasy.

I loved The Sunbearer Trials so much more than Cemetery Boys, very strong Percy Jackson vibes.

Lost in the never woods is from Aiden Thomas. It's a peter pan remake. It was a little slow, but once it got to the last like 3 chapters, i was sucked in! Wendy can't remember what happened to her and her brothers years ago. Peter comes to visit and now she must remember whats going on There's a sliver of romance and a little dark. I think you would really like it!

If anyone is looking for more sad, I just finished Something Wild & Wonderful by Anita Kelly which had me ugly crying for roughly 75% of the book. That might be a me and my own trauma thing but it's beautiful regardless.

So happy to find someone else who loves Cemetary Boys! "The Sunbearer Trials" isn't quite up to that level, but the characters ARE really good. And never fear when you finish, I believe the sequel ("Celestial Monsters") comes out in September :) Also, "A Magical Girl Retires" is kind of a....satire?....about what life can be like for a young woman in Korea. I highly recommend reading the Translator's Note at the end, because does explain a few things about the book. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it!

Jesse, I love ur content! I also just got Veronca Roth new book from my library and didn’t realized it was a novella I thought it was full length novel! I can’t wait to read that one still.
I think u should read the sunbearer trials first because it’s a mixed between Percy Jackson and hunger games! I think u would really love it, and book 2 comes out in October! Happy reading

Only one I've read is Mislaid in Parts Half-Known.
Not my favorite book in the series, but definitely not my least favorite.
If you feel the need for a refresher before reading it, you'll probably be okay just rereading the previous two.

I feel like you'd really like "Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone" by Benjamin Stevenson.
It follows Ernest Cunningham a man who has a family like the title says tend to kill people. Ernest is actually the reason his brother went to jail for murder.
Ernest has been estranged from his family since but now his brother is getting out of jail so his family is having a reunion up at this mountain resort.
While they are up there a dead body appears..
It's a really interesting murder mystery because he does actually tell you everything you need to solve the mystery. It's very Knives Out the movie vibes!
