You could've easily made this 6 dead video game characters if you had mentioned that the Final Fantasy tombstone in the NES version replaces Link with "Erdrick", Erdrick being a Dragon Quest character.
Alex Kidd's decapitated head also appears in Kensiden.

I like how at the very beggining of video, You had a Luigi hanging from the lamp. I do not know if it was done purposely but it's a rather "noice" reference to "Luigi's suicide" myth :)

Excellent episode as always James, but the only easter egg i was aware of out of the ones mentioned was the one regarding link's gravestone in final fantasy.

Correction: Final Fantasy was originally developed and published by Square before it merged with Enix in 2003 to become Square Enix. The GBA port however was released after the merger.

Regardless of it being changed back to Link, Erdrick is another cameo for the main character from Dragon Quest 1.
No in dragon quest 3 you're erdrick, you're his decndent (I think his grandson) in dragon quest 1.

Hi James, I love the video, I only have a little nitpick in the begin of the video: it seems like the colours are a bit oversaturated.(Is that how wel call it when something is super red?)
Yeah I am not sure what happened there, I had to record the intro again as the first time I watched the footage back and I was like what on earth happened here, all the Mario figures were so red it was awlful, the second which is this version was a little better, but I couldn't get my head around what was going on ?

Aw I thought for sure you'd mention Tonic, from Tonic Trouble - he was a placement game made for Ubisoft to learn 3D platforming for Rayman 2: The Great Escape... Like, basically a dummy character. Kind of sad.
But he was shown in multiple Rayman games, and I believe he was to be 'dead' in the background of one.
In Rayman M, if I recall correctly.

In The King Of Fighters 94 the boss Rugal turns every fighter he has defeated into statues, in the cutscene before fighting him you could see statues of Akuma and Guile. Capcom retaliated this jab by creating the parody character Dan Hibiki.
