Even as a local, we visit changi airport sometimes not for flights but to hang out, eat, and just visit Jewel. The atmosphere and feeling of being in the airport is always relaxing and welcoming. I persoanlly have never even visited the unique features of the airport, but still love it. I honestly would want to fly to other countries cuz i havent flew since 2014. Love the videos!

Went to Singapore for 4 days Vacation, and I literally went to Changi airport every single day of my trip. Simply stunning.
It's like ur in Atlantic city, 5 star hotel, a theme park, and a shopping mall at the same time.
wow, u managed to cover some nuances such as carpets, the toilet feedback system
did not notice these until people working in the airport explained their purposes
these nuances add up to give the overall experience
That I have to agree with you. Been to a lot of airports and even the most recent Qatar airport. Nothing beats Changi airport and how welcoming it is.

Jewel was not included in the airport ranking since it was treated as "a mall attached to the airport" not a "mall in an airport", so yea if it is included SG will definitely maintain the top spot on the list

The last time I was at Changi airport was back in 2001 and it was a great airport back then. I have plans to go to Singapore this year and then on to Malaysia.
I've been to Hamad Int'l Airport in Doha, yes it's beautiful it's modern. but Singapore Changi Airport are Superb! It's different 💯
no Hamad airport is still bye far my fav.did you get to see their expansion that just recently opened in Nov 2022 ?

There are at least 3 full sized groceries stores in Changi Airport. Its amazing.
No where in the world has an airport like Changi where you can relaxed before you board yr flight or after you landed.
I think Changi can look into building “capsule-hotel like” rest areas in transit and public area. This allow travellers to rest at a designated spot instead of sleeping at the sitting area, which is not a pleasant sight.

Been to 24 countries. You are right about reducing stress. Worse airport was LAX and Heathrow. LAX is like a 3rd world airport while Heathrow is tio Chaotic for a passenger

Singapore Changi airport is the best airport in the world hands down. T4 mainly serves budget airlines. However Cathay Pacific and Vietnam airlines flies out from T4.
Terminal 2 is Completed Renovated upgraded just like the other Terminals.

Here is unpopular opinion:
I've been to Singapore airport last month first of all the airport do looks very nice and the Jewel is absolutely beautiful.
But in my opinion it is not the best airport I have visited. The jeweler is really beautiful but it's not true that it's "in the heart of the airport" did you kind of very beautiful Mall that you need to cross the road and go from the airport out to get inside the jewel that this is a mall actually. So it's maybe very beautiful but it's not feel like part of the airport it's just a very beautiful Mall close to the airport that's all. When you need to get your flight we need to go back to the airport to check in and then go to the duty free and to the gate and the Jewel is far away.
Second in the airport you don't do the security check after you do check in and it is very annoying because usually in airports you doing your security check before you going to the duty free. And in Singapore airport you don't do the security check after the check in you do it only when you go inside the gate and this is terrible because you cannot buy water or any liquid and take it with you to the plane you always need to think about another time waste and it's feel more anxious and less relax then a regular airport because you always need to think about another security check before you go to the plane.
Third, inside the airport in the duty free after the check-in there is very little shops and not a lot of good places to eat.
You know why they do that? It cuts down the immigration queues! It’s genius!
What you said literally means Singapore Changi made excellent design. You know how stressful it is when security is during check in? I was in the older Istanbul airport and my flight was departing in an hour or so and there were thousands of people in queue! You know how bloody stressful that was?!
@@endi4654There is only ONE security check at Changi Airport, NOT 2 etc. I know coz I’m a foreign Local so I know all the terminals well. Immigration is biometric so it’s pretty fast, and Security Check is ONLY when you are ready to enter your boarding gate-that is all. This well-thought out style MASSIVELY cuts queue time! It’s very smart coz one is not supposed to have drinks & food while inside the waiting gates! You’re only supposed to WAIT to board, not eat or drink, so you should have finished your drink/food BEFORE you enter your gate. Singapore logically thought of that and placed Security Check there = simple but Genius which is why there no queues in the entire airport to exit the country! Big design layout win for SG’s Changi Airport, hence people just feel relaxed soaking in the nice environment/soothing music/their food & drink/etc. This guy is unhappy coz he wants to bring water inside the plane. Oh well 😂🤷🏻♀️
Nice airport, but if you want some chewing gum to deal with the changes in pressure, you'll need to find a pharmacy and sign their book. And Singapore isn't really a democracy.
