    My comment is not really related to the truck but I think I would keep the fire extinguisher in the ram box. It would probably be just as quick getting to it if you need it. Fishing underneath a seat for it and getting it out of the vehicle bracket could be awkward. More importantly...having it fire off accidentally in the cab would not be good. It would be in all your vents and electronics and almost impossible to totally clean. And...awesome truck!

    • @ORVXplore
      @ORVXplore  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for this! I appreciate you taking the time to call this out.
      To clarify, it would be mounted to the front of the seat rails, so it would be accessible even from the driver's seat, but still out of the way from the passenger legs. The accidental discharge definitely would be a disaster though, that's a really good point. Maybe I can mount it to the side of the rambox (or the lid). I just don't like it being loose and not having a "home", if that makes any sense.
      Thanks again man

    Keep in mind on the tires that oem tires new on a vehicle were built for that vehicle keeping fuel mileage and ride to suit the vehicle. You may only get 12k miles out of the original and replace with the same tire and get 25k miles.

  • @SupremeLeaderWPK
    @SupremeLeaderWPK Před 3 lety +5

    Save yourself a headache and don’t do the KO2s. I have a 2019 Power Wagon and when it came time to replace the tires, I bought a set of 35” KO2s and had an awful experience with them. I don’t know what it was about those tires combined with this truck but they caused the whole truck to shake at any speed over 35mph. I went back to have them rebalanced 4 times and it could not be remedied. Luckily, Discount Tire has an awesome return policy and I exchanged them for a set of Toyo Open Country R/T and everything was immediately better. Like I said above, I’m not sure what it was, but I think the compound of those tires is too soft for a truck this heavy. I’ve had KO2s on jeeps in the past and absolutely swore by them but I’ll never put a set on an HD truck again.

    • @ORVXplore
      @ORVXplore  Před 3 lety

      That's really good to know, thanks for the heads up!
      Have you noticed any trade-offs by swapping to 35s?

    • @SupremeLeaderWPK
      @SupremeLeaderWPK Před 3 lety +2

      ORV Xplore Nothing major. There’s a very slight power loss but it’s almost unnoticeable. Fuel economy doesn’t seem to have been affected much, if at all, which is a nice surprise. I have found that if I run the new tires at the factory recommended pressures (60-65 psi) they feel like they’re made out of concrete. I’ve backed them off a bit and just gotten used to having the TPMS light on until I find a fix for it. Off road though, 35s have been a big improvement. You wouldn’t think so because it’s just moving up one tire size but the extra bit of sidewall helps a lot in air down situations. I’ll probably go with 37s next time around. I just didn’t want to have to deal with relocating the spare tire yet... baby steps haha.

    I too love the ram boxes. Best overall storage space in the truck market!
    Great that you can fit a atv in the bed with ram boxes. Answered my question on this subject.
    Not too keen on the 12 in. screen.
    Thinking of sun roof option. Have you had any issues especially water leaks?
    In my opinion 35's would give a nicer look to the truck!!

    • @ORVXplore
      @ORVXplore  Před 3 lety

      Wow thanks for the awesome feedback!
      So far no issues with the sunroof. Regarding the ATV, something to warn you on...if you get a tonneau cover, it may no longer fit. My tonneau cover has mounting brackets that mount to the inside cargo rails, and its now like 1/4 inch too narrow! I will post a video about that soon. Obviously it depends on the tonneau cover choice and the ATV itself.
      35s will definitely look great. Just *trying* to resist until these stock tires are worn. We will see how it goes lol

      I wasn't sure I would want the 12inch screen, but I gotta say it's awesome and works really well. Super useful and user freindly especially if you get the towing package cameras. I didn't get the sunroof because I feel like I would never use it. When it's cold it won't be open when its hot it wont be open because AC is on. Plus you lose headroom with the sunroof.

      @@pjasyl the sunroof is a $1000 and again kinda useless IMO. If it were the big panoramic one it be pretty cool. But its just a little hole in the roof one that will potentially leak.
      The 12" screen I think you will like once you see it and play with it. $2000 option. The size makes sense for such a big truck. You still get hard buttons for AC. If you like Navigation or plan on getting the tow package option its really sweet. And you can split the screen anyway you like, so half NAV, radio, AC controls....etc. I went offroading the other day and wasn't sure where I was going, having the big screen being able to zoom out and scroll ahead to get my bearings under me was nice.
