I had never heard of them before going to their concert at Way out West festival here in Gothenburg.
First I just stood there with an open mouth astonished, then my grin just grew and grew. Love them.
One of the best performances on any of Jools Hollands music shows along with Fun Loving Criminals when it was the White Room!
This is why British Music is always at the forefront. Class.
England is unequaled when it comes to music and it's from the street

Send them only the once in NZ, followed them for 7/8 years now. They are back here soon, they relate to so many of us. If you don’t do politics, it won’t be your bag, all though the beats & lyrics really do stand up. Nothing else like them! They’re so down to earth, & have always kept in contact with their of fan base. Love ‘em!

How to explain this to americans... First of all the vocalist has tourettes, which is why he makes the BO noise and twitches. But they are focussed towards working class British poeple, and they are a mix of John Cooper Clarke and Crass, with a bit of the grime grandads The Streets
I might be wrong but I dont think he has tourette's, saw some of his interviews and he never shows signs of it but on stage he's like a maniac but I do take your point and like I said you might know otherwise....fucken brilliant though and I'm 57 😂😂
p.s went to see squeeze in concert who were good but their warm up act was John cooper clark who was well better ,still a very funny man ....he said I love going back to Manchester, the people there make me feel good ,he said a smacked shouted at him alright John ye fat bastard, legend

To be honest if you’re not from England, you won’t get it.
Not true, bro! They sell out here in Aotearoa/NZ, I have followed them 9/10 years now, & they are back again in May, that sold out so fast another show has been put on, & they’re playing at our biggest venues. They touch a sense of disenfranchisement that’s international. Jesus look at where they tour, all over the planet, & that’s not a recent thing! So to say you gotta be @ English to get it”, is well, dumb!

Love Sleaford mods, traveling back to the UK in November to see them.
You don't need to be English to get the music, the advantage of coming from the UK is you understand the backdrop to the music, in this case the benefits system.
