HS: Hello Agnetha, very welcome!
AF: Thank you.
HS: We rarely see you as a solo artist these days. Will we see more of you as a solo artist in the future?
AF: I don't know what you mean by "see", "hear" in ny case.
HS: Coming here and sing for us.
AF: I don't know but hear anyway because I'm working on a new LP.
HS: You write your own songs and what is the one we're going to hear called?
AF: It's called "Dom har glömt" ("They Have Forgotten").
HS: We haven't forgotten.
AF: Thank you.
HS: My friends, it's nice for me to welcome Agnetha Fältskog back to the stage. There you are! It's so nice when you come back to us.
AF: Thank you.
HS: I know what you are going to sing now and I think it's so nice but I forgot what it's called.

Агнета - да. Необычная, но не супер. Идеальный слух - это по наследству. Внешне - обыкновенная. Самая рядовая шведка. Трудолюбивая и очень ответственная - да. Но она - реальная блондинка. Этим всё сказано. Переубедить её невозможно. Уж если она что-то задумала - так и будет. Внешний мир для блондинок малозначен.
It's beautiful to see Agneta in her own culture and singing in her original language, to see the music that surrounded her before she was the star she is, everything has a consequence and a root...what a beautiful show, I'm surprised...🌷 🌼💮♥️

Мне было 6 лет и я не знал шведского языка , а сейчас за 50 и знаю шведский и могу слушать о чём они говорят на оригинале.
А мне в детстве нравился и сейчас нравится старый мультфильм "Путешествие Нильса с дикими гусями". И только не так давно (по моим меркам) узнал, что это "путешествие" есть не что иное, как учебное пособие для шведских школьников по географии страны.
А мне было 17 лет когда я хотела выучить язык и обязательно побывать в Швеции, но ...языка не знаю и в Швеции не была. Моя самая большая мечта так и осталась мечтой.

Несмотря на звездность Агнеты, предпочтение все же отдали другим ансамблям, принесшим в это мероприятие национальный колорит и музыкальное разнообразие. Главенствующее чувство, охватившее всех - и участников, и зрителей, - это радость от общения между людьми других стран и культур. Прозорлив был король Швеции Карл 12, который пришел к мысли о бессмысленности войн за расширение империи, и лучшая альтернатива войнам - развитие культуры и экономики вкупе с добрососедскими отношениями.

@@gaynor1721 You've missed the point. At this stage ABBA was thinking of breaking up because they couldn't get anywhere with the songs they were releasing. It was only when Australian TV (the ABC's Countdown) started showing ABBA clips that they gained huge popularity, and the UK record company took notice of them again. Prior to this, the very thing you mentioned, the Eurovision, was a total albatross for them and they were considered a one-hit wonder as was every Eurovision winner.
The band is known very well but a lot of people don't know that Agnetha was successful in Sweden already before ABBA. It seems as if they have forgotten this fact and her as a solo artist. So the song becomes a little bit prophetic.

I've said it many times already... this lady is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen...when you consider her talent, her beauty, her charisma, AND when someone is SO successful and still so humble...well there are just a select amount of people on this earth like her...and I have only seen one....
I agree. I was lucky to meet Agnetha twice and there was such an aura surrounding her too. Frida was even more accommodating to fans though and, outside the Belfry Club in London, stayed for a very long time after the other three left.

At the time I don't think the program directors and hosts realized they were Hosting a soon to be WORLD WIDE LEGEND .and later to be recognized as the Cleanest ,Clearest, one of the widest Ranging B2 --F7 ,Sopranos in the POP world ,Past or Present...AGNETHA FALSKOG
Her vocal range is incredible. And so under-rated because her voice is so pure. Anyone who doubts how good Agnetha is should listen to her isolated vocal on Dancing Queen. Simply jaw-dropping. Benny and Bjorn struck absolute gold with Agnetha and Anni-Frid. And to their credit, they created songs that were perfect for the four of them.

It is SO NICE when you see shows like this from the 60's-70's, where the source material has been preserved. In this case, the source material was erased, since the original was in color. Too bad, but we are lucky to have anything from those days, back when all these shows were considered disposable after the original airing. Same happened here in the USA, especially any show from the 1960's or earlier.

I suppose the British equivalent of that time would be the Seaside Special series, which went on for years. ABBA performed on that show in 1975, Waterloo and their brand new single SOS. So what with solo albums from the girls and ABBA emerging onto the world stage, 1975 must have been manic for them. On this show, I also enjoyed Öresound and the punters having a dance with the slightly creepy host. Talking of which, he asked such inane questions of Agnetha, it’s no wonder she gave him such nondescript answers.

I think it´s Agnetha´s last appearance as swedish Schlagersinger. And all of the "Glenmarks" is on stage, as well. Ann-Louise Hansson with her husband Bruno Glenmark with his nephews Anders and Karin Glenmark (which later formed the duo Gemini) that all together was the famous family group "Glenmarks". Anders and Karin soon got strong connection with the ABBA-family as their background-vocalists on their recordings and tours.
