The world wasn’t always like this…We we’re once a vibrant species. Humans spanned the entire world. We lived in great metropolises, had incredible technologies. We wen’t about our lives without a care in the world, not knowing we were slowly destroying it. Years of industry and consumption led to extensive pollution of the atmosphere. Scientists warned of “The Green House Effect”, how out planet would begin uncontrollably heating up…..oh, how wrong they were. We started to see signs of the end, birds changed their patterns, ocean currents slowed, the air began to feel heavier. We didn’t notice however. Humans were to preoccupied with our endless wars of the last remaining resources to keep this destructive industry going. The atmosphere thickened, but instead of The Greenhouse Effect taking place like the scientists said…the opposite happened. Heat could no longer reach the surface of Earth in the way it had before. By the time we noticed the temperatures begin to fall….it was too late. In July, the new winter had descended. Our world began to collapse as governments enacted programs and reassured the people, then commanded the people, then deployed their armies on the people….then…..then came the frost. Slowly at first, then more gradually snow began to fall. It never stoped. Within a months time the structures of man became buried in the white. Within 3 months time no one left could tell which pile was higher…the snow? Or the bodies? Some stories start at the beginning, this one, starts at the end. The end of mankind’s reign, the dawn of a new Ice age, a cataclysm of cold. However, with every cataclysm there are survivors. This was the beginning of our story. Some settled into the last cities hosting low artificial heat. We, The last Humans to roam the Earth, the “Frostwalkers” searched frost and thaw (day and night) for old world relics and remaining resources. With little hope people stoped asking questions and began to accept whatever came their way, however there was one question on everyones mind, “who was truly in hell? Those who froze in coming of The New Winter? Or those who lived to see what came after it?”
See this is the mind of a writer and world builder. Created a movie series plot with one song.
Before you all ask yes it is heavily inspired by Snowpiercer and Frostpunk
