    Hi - just wanted to say thanks for the video - I'd wasted an hour trying and failing to get the device setup with my iPad and iNavX - but was sorted out within a couple of minutes of finding your video

    Hi Thanks for the video. Have you tried to conect the instruments via NMEA to show them in the ipad or pc?? I have been trying with different programs, but for what ever reason doesnt work..

      Yes on the iPad with iNavX. No to any Window or Linux computer but yes on a macOS computer (MacBook Air). On the MacBook I used MacENC but it is currently being rebuilt for 64bit compatibility and may not be ready yet.

    Will it work with iPad and navionics?

      If you are asking about the Quark QK-A026 device in the video, it does work with iNavX on the iPad. I demonstrate it in the video. I don't think the Navionics iPad app supports NMEA via TCP/IP over Wi-Fi. You can purchase Navionics charts for iNavX though.

    How do you get the password for the wifi?

    • @jimsails7985
      @jimsails7985  Před 2 lety +1

      The device comes with a password already set from the manufacturer. It's been long enough ago that I don't remember the default password for that device. This password can be changed by you through it's admin console. You should be able to find it in the user manual.

      I got them to respond they gave it to me. How do you find the instrument after using it a while?

      I changed out all of my electronics on my boat a year or two after I made this video. I am now using a Vesper 8000XB and find that it is just superb.
