Honestly I don’t agree with most of this video. Most of the reasons you’ve given for retirement are something along the lines of “well they’ve already won everything anyway so what’s the point” but most of these guys are playing because they love the game not because they want to win another trophy even though that is still a pretty big motivator

You know I don’t actually see the point of insisting a player should retire when they clearly don’t want to. I do think the current climate of football makes it hard for them to move on to smaller clubs with reduced wages but i feel like if they’re all just getting by at big clubs they still have plenty left to offer as professionals in smaller clubs and Buffon proves that.
