Trump made all appointments temporary so Congress could not question and affirm them. Clearly Senator Cruz came prepared, and while I’ll stop short of some of the stronger criticism leveled at the nominee for the office of science and technology, I would say that she was woefully ill prepared. She didn’t seem to have a very good grasp of the situation, and might have predicted some of the questions posed. This is especially true when President Biden has put a high priority on fighting climate change.

The "adoption of renewables" has had a negligible - practically non-existent - effect on carbon emissions.
