That video save me some trouble! I bought a used RX 470 and had some issues with, including Windows 43 bug. But Thanks to Your tutorial I was able to flash default BIOS and now I have a fully functional graphic card. Thanks, man.

I just wanted to share that this helped me a LOT with one extra step: I had to find the VBIOS for my card in TechPowerup's unverified BIOS file database. It' didn't come up easy for me and the first few that I tried to flash were rejected because the part numbers didn't match. I had to Google for the part number and "VBIOS for (partnumber)". It was the 3rd or fourth result and it was the only one that I could use.

@@fathulsyahmi7364 I'm still strugling to fix but was at that step before. What worked for me was unplugging the gpu and starting the computer with the monitor pluged into my onboard card. Then I went to BIOS, changed the display monitor to CPU and reinstalled the motherboard.
It is working but I still have to figure out how to make my gpu card work properly, but at least I have a computer to research a solution (solutions on the video didn't help, still getting the error 43)
@@avilaclemente i already fix that yesterday, i just install the new os which is window 10 pro. Then all drivers install include display driver. Error 43 also solved. Sorry for my bad english
Bought a second hand gpu and encountered error 43....was an absolute disaster for me trying to get it to work and ended up having to lose all my files and doing a clean install.... If only I saw this video earlier as it solved my problem in two minutes 😭😭😭 thanks a lot 🔥🔥🔥

I got a radeon rx570, wasted some good 7-8 hrs figuring how to enable the card driver so that windows will accept it. re-installed the os again to make sure any registry issue is resolved but still there was no luck. Watched videos on youtube, googled a lot but still there was no solution to my problem. finally found your fix and did that, it took me 12:39 mins to watch your video and after that just 2 mins to fix the issue.

@@mikesunboxing definitely -- I've shared it within my circle. It's not foolproof, but it makes buying aining card just slightly more comfortable, we may as well benefit from the bubble bursting.

@@Jsmnnly. difficult to say. If it is shutting down with no user input it is likely to be a power issue, or maybe even a bad power switch. Try disconnecting the power switch and use the reset switch instead (same wiring) this would rule out the switch being faulty

Was very easy. Bought an extremely cheap ($89) Sapphire RX480 8gb from ebay and it booted to the desktop with error 43 and it wouldnt even run youtube right. Reflashed the bios and works fine.

Can i do the same procedures for a nvidia card? Is this BIOS of the motherboard or the graphic card? I have a code 43 error in my laptop of Nvidia MX 150
The best bet is to get the original drivers from the manufacturer website

Worked amazingly! Thank you so much!!! My XFX Radeon 570 4gb was doing a little flickering for months. Sometimes the screen would go all white. Then yesterday the screen went all green, upon rebooting I got the 43 error and could no longer use 4k rez.
My pc was custom made by LytegamingPC 5 months ago. Looks like they installed a used gpu. The gpu has a layer of grime and dust with their fingerprints in the dust. Not cool they sold me a bs gpu!!

Sure FB and Twitter. Still lol about this tip. Tried one and the flash util said there was a mismatch so I tried another for a slightly different freq for the same card. It worked. Good card considering what I thought it was...
Having 2 BIOS's is a great thing... if you have ever bricked a device with a BIOS update, it is a terrible feeling. RMA takes what feels like forever. ASUS motherboards (and other manufacturers, I am sure) have a great feature that allow you to flash a BIOS using a USB stick even if the board won't POST.
If only all manufacturers had something like that. It would make the process s lot less scary 😁

Bought an RX 570 4gb today. Only Windows display drivers showed Up, card recogniced but drivers Not working -code 43. display Driver uninstall, new Windows install.... Finally your Video helped me fixing this Problem

After a big windows update my gpu drivers stopped working properly and this video saved me! I had to use the older 2.87 version of ATI flash as I was getting a error telling me to redownload the atiflash. Pretty sure my gpu was a mining card, hopefully this has solved future issues. Thanks!

I bought a used Sapphire RX480 Nitro (I'm guessing it was a Miner as the guy had a few for sale) I was getting a clear picture out but the AMD Drivers wouldn't load & resolution was stuck at 800x600, I checked Device Manager & found the Code 43 Error, When I Googled your video was the second on the list (but the first I checked),
I used your video as a step by step (Pausing every step watching on my tablet) & now it is working great at 1600x900, thanks so much for the walk through, I get very anxious & the video was a big help, sad your GPU didn't respond in a positive way, lucky yours has Dual Bios

From the very start of my build with Gigabyte RX570 with ASUS Tuf B350M plus M/B I have had the dreaded code 43 error and had to use the "AMD atikmdag-patcher.exe" to get by. had to use after each driver update until the latest where it says that the driver is too big. Following your advice and method I upgraded the bios successfully. Problem solved!

With this procedure i resolv problems on my SAPPHIRE RX480 NITRO+ 8GB OC WB (AMD Radeon Error Code 43).
I bought a RX480, the seller said LIGHT USE, but Windows not recognised this card.. why?? Because probably was used by MINING, so i mean HIDDEN STRESSED USED :))

@@mikesunboxing I will really appreciate it man. I had this issue because I bough an used PC and the GPU was probably used for mining. It was a year ago and I first ran into the issue when I tried to update my drivers, after that windows wouldn't recognize the GPU and I just used System restore to get it in previous working point because I didn't want to touch anything but after a long time I've decided to go for it using DDU and installing-reinstalling drivers all over again and I couldn't fix it but I watched one of your videos on re-installing fresh w10 and there you explained about the error 43 and the driver issues which has given me the clue that I was missing and I managed to fix it with using atikmdag-patcher thanks to your information. You're a life saver!

You have to have the right BIOS, try getting in touch with customer support and see if they can link one or email it to you,
@@mikesunboxing thanks for your help man and I returned rx 480 and then buy used powercolor rx 570 red dragon version but it was mining card so I flash it's powercolor red devil bios in which core clock is 1320 and memory clock is 1750 whereas in red dragon version core clock is 1250 and memory clock is 1750 will it break my Rx 570 but it's working fine I played games do stress test in kombuster

That did not worked because you have to boot it windows with the working bios, and just before launching the flash you change the switch (while in windows), THEN you flash the new file on the corrupted OC mode and reboot the PC.
Dual bios is just like that: they have 2 chips, what was shown in video was replacing the working bios with another working bios.
Again: you use the working bios to boot the PC, then switch to the bad position and reflash the bad one, then you have 2 working positions again.

Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to it was an msi rx 580. It had the error code Apparently it had a completely different bios on it. My computer picked up the correct version after the flash but the card was just bad in general so it still gave me issues. I bought the card used so I’m returning. But thanks for the help!

Issues: install drivers thru AMD website wont work... it's program keeps saying I don't have the correct gpu and/or there is a mismatch. on device manager it says code 43... i have no audio... and games don't play correctly at all....

It worked! I just bought a used rx580 from ebay and i had this problem flashed the bios and vullah! Worked just like a brand new card! Though im not too happy that its probably an x miner card... either way thanks for the help mate!

Hey bro, I have a question, I just updated to windows 10 (before it had 8.1) and when I updated it, I got error 43 from the display driver, I cannot adjust the brightness of my laptop or project to another screen, which I could do without problems before updating the operating system. I already tried to reinstall the drivers and they won't let me use them, marking error 43, what do you recommend? I have an HP Pavilion 15ab010la with AMD Radeon R6
you will need to remove the radeon drivers you have and install the drivers for the gpu from the HP site only no others. Hope this helps
Have the same problem delete the drivers with ddu and put on the hp driver same problem .

What if there is an error reading on ATIflash Software?
normally that is a bad chipset or the program needs to run as admin
@@mikesunboxing I just fixed it a couple of hours ago, The program is already running on Admin, still no luck. It turnedout the bios is corrupted. Then I found a solution, Just run CMD(On admin), Change directory to ATIflash, Type ATIvbflash.exe -i, to show all of your GPU, Then type ATIvbflash.exe -f -p 0 bios.rom. *NOTE = 0 is the number indicated which GPU you wanna flash, And "Bios.rom" is your own stock bios name* Then Reboot, Done. No, Install windows like 6-7 times n the last try it work.was able to update n install drivers with no issues
I was wiping the drive. At the same time.took me two day to get it back up n running.
Good thing I paid 100for that laptop. Seller said it had the issue

use DDU and remove all AMD and NVIDIA drivers , then install the motherboard chipset drivers only, then update windows to the very latest version and only then try installing the vga drivers

Hi can you help me? When I'm in device manager, the display adapter shows a yellow exclamation mark. It says this device isn't working properly (code 43). I've tried everything. I used ddu to clean my driver and reinstall a new driver. Didn't work. I updated my drive and still not fixed. I even factory reset my pc and still doesn't work. I had this problem suddenly when i was playing a game. It crashed my pc and now I can't play any games. I'm not sure if my gpu is dead

I have a problem with an MSI Rx 580 armor 8 gig. It seems to be working fine. Drivers installed good. But I’m using Kryptex and that’s where it won’t work properly. On the switch to activate and deactivate I can’t use. Also won’t show Hash rate. Any ideas.

First of all I convey my heartfelt gratitude for your video.. with your video I recovered the corrupted bios of my Sapphire RX 470 Nitro+ 8G , I never thought I'd see it alive again..I was watching a movie and no graphic intensive work when it suddenly died on me. In the PC it was plugged was not booting and when plugged to another pc was giving error 43 with driver installed. No pixel/texture fillrate,shader detail in GPU-Z was shown. Fortunately rcovered with the BIOS flash. Can you please tell is it going to fail soon or why a gfx bios gets corrupt??
Is PSU to blame..using cooler master Thunder 600w..
that is very strange and to be honest there isn't anything i can think of that logically explains what happened there
@@mikesunboxing My RX470 Nitro+ has a Vbios switch. I flashed stock bios in silent mod switch. Does OC bios and silent bios both need seperate flashing??

I have rx 560 4gb , sometimes it worked great and normal and sometimes when i turn on my pc it. Shows code. 43 then i have to restart the pc and turned it off and turn it on again too get it. Work again. Do u know any solutions? Pls reply
sounds like a software issue if it works sometimes and not others, try running DDU, then run windows update and then install motherboard chipset drivers and then finally GPU drivers and that should fix it

could be many things but most likely a bad rom or incorrect settings
This is the same error with my rx 580 8gb... the first bios it can be flashed but no signal when reboot but gpuz can recognize it, the second bios though has that error reading from rom and cant be flashed and from gpuz bios version is unknown... it never worked until now =/
i have a HP Pavillion laptop with an AMD Radeon R5 and R8 card. i have the Error 43 on mine and recently tried an uninstall and a new install from AMD's website which didnt fix it but now my external monitor is undetectable in display settings. not quite sure where to go from here and not too sure if doing this flash would help both issues...
Try using the driver from the hp site and see how that goes. The hp one should be the most compatible one you can get
Hi Mike. I have an XFX Double Dissipation Vega 56 with the short Nano PCB. After downloading the flash utility and looking at the current bios, it shows a "nano" specific bios that isn't verified by TechPowerUp. The card is getting the code 43 error and I need to reflash. Should I use the "verified" bios file for a regular PCB or try the "unverified" nano file? Any help would be appreciated!
Not sure. Does the nano have a different spec than the regular card? If they have some differences like fan controller etc then use the nano version for the nano card or you could get into a worse situation
My card gave display but after installing drivers and restarting gave code 43
I used the atikmdag-patcher.. which removed the " ! " mark and worked...

I had this problem since almost a half day...
if you have the original ROM backed up then yes you can flash that one back, but you might need to use another video card in the system or use a APU or onboard graphics to do so
