Joshua Barrios do you know how much time you have to organize those games, kidnap people, and build the devices without getting caught? That takes a lot of time and honestly it’s pretty impossible to do all the stuff for years and not get caught in real life (ik it’s just a movie) why do that and stress about making sure u won’t go to prison when u can easily help people by not killing them. Killing someone/torturing someone is unnecessary and not helpful, it’s just wrong. He could just mind his own business and live the rest of his years in a positive way. That’s what I would’ve done at least

In the movies Jigsaw is portraited as a genius engineer and didn't took him long to settle all those things you mentioned.
In real life how much time would it take to do that, you asking me?!
Well, I have no single clue and I couldn't care less, since we are talking about a movie character and his motivations, not about time to commit crimes (I don't know why you taking the conversation towards this, it makes no sense... I wonder how old are you?!).
Anyway, you aren't him, so any comparison it's senseless and useless.
"All of us" (or that's what I would like to think) would choose any other way of helping people (since we all know his "ways of helping" are wrong, that's common sense...), but as I said (and you seem to ignore) we are talking about a movie character, not a real person, and those are his motivations, as simple as that.
_All we can do is discuss those motivations and seek an explanation for them, that's why these movies are made for in the first place *"to make us think"*._

It is the same method as the teeth pulling. As you cut into where the key is hidden breath slowly and think happy thoughts ( also you dont need to cut new skin just cut the stiches) The original bear trap was bull. In Saw One Amanda had to cut her boyfriend ( I think? Or her drug dealer? trying to remember) open to get it, causing her mental pain, not physical. But I mean, her sin was killing John's kid, self harm, envy and doing drugs. The needle pit from 2 was a much better fit for her, and even though she was the one to go in, that trap wasn't meant for her. Honestly they should have covered harder traps to escape, besides the breathing one, the rest are pretty much common sense. How to quickly escape the glow in the dark fire trap, and the syringe in the box trap from 2 would be better. To be honest alot of jigsaws traps take pain tolerance, or willing to withstand emotional trauma. Not alot of these are strategy based. Its mostly about following rules and making choices. But the way the guy escaped the chained foot in 5 was the smarter move, less likely to die from a broken foot then chopping it off. But whatever. In the end the reverse bare trap/ venus fly trap are not difficult to get out of if you follow the rules.

​@@RedDeadDepressionist Well. He was speaking of Jigsaw, which is the 2017 movie that is a prequel to Saw The Final Chapter. So let's start.
Basically, the twist starts from the beginning of the movie where 5 people are in a trap room, 1 died and the rest move on. Then we get a cut into the outside world and finding the person who died hanging in a tree, the 5 other people continued on and get their dead bodies dropped out to random location in the city. Only 2 remains. Then. The twist comes in, John Kramer, Jigsaw himself showed up, however, Jigsaw (2017) was 10 years after John died, so... how did he survive? Well... it turns out that the 5 people we saw in the beginning were in a trap that was made first by John and one of his unknown apprentice. His very first apprentice actually. That apprentice was called "Logan". So back 10 years later, we see Logan and his sister visiting the place where the first trap took place. But they were followed by a corrupt cop who killed innocent people. Logan's sister escape, but the corrupt cop and Logan were fainted and brought to a room where they have a laser collar on them. After the corrupt cop called "Halloran" pressed Logan's putton, activating the lasers, it seems to sliced through him, spitting out blood. Then it was Halloran's turn and he then confessed all the bad things he has done as a cop. Then, he realised that his lasers actually cut some holes on top of him, and looking at Logan's side, it didn't. Logan then rose up from the ground, completely fine, just covered in blood from capsules attached to his fake collar. And explained that all was a lie to Halloran, Jigsaw has been dead for 10 years, the trap took place in 10 years and Logan just find new people that look like the people 10 years ago and put them in the exact same traps. And Logan was the first one in the first trap 10 years ago who "died". So it looks like the guy hanging on the tree with a bucket head was Logan, but it wasn't. And, Logan was saved by John at the last second because, John was his cancer patient, yes Logan was a doctor. Logan mistakenly put someone else' cancer photo and replaced it with John, so pretty much killilling John.John then decided to save Logan and not killing him die due to a mistake and saved him, healing his injuries and inviting him to become an apprentice of Jigsaw. It also turns out that Halloran's friend, who was a murderer he released, killed Logan's wife, which is why Logan is after him. He also framed him so the other cops would think that Halloran is Jigsaw, not Logan, as the lasers come closer and closer to Halloran's head, Logan moved to a door, and the lasers cut through Halloran, splitting his head, spilling out blood, Logan then said "I speak for the dead". Shuts the door, and the movie ended.

1. It looks like the oxygen mask isn't held on very tight, enough flailing should dislodge the mask, so it won't pick up your breathing.
2. I'd recommend climbing along the grates to go underneath, and then reach the outside of the cage and jump from there.
3. Break the mirror into multiple shards with the pliers. Angle the shards in such a way that you can read the numbers, one shard in your mouth and one in front of you.
4. The 100+ rpm spinning coil will generate wind that will inevitably knock you into the coil if it climbs up to speed and you are inside. Throw a shoe somewhere in the gear train to try to disconnect the gears so the coil slows down, (Jigsaw's mechanics are typically not very sound.) then grab the break. Or try climbing up the rope into an upright position and then cutting the slack rope with the spinning coil. Escape promptly afterwards.
5. Tie your pants and shirt into a lasso with one shoe as an anchor. Throw the homebrew lasso over your scale, if you do it right, the shoe when falling should pull the lasso tight around your scale. Then feign defeat and fake cry in the corner. When the time is almost out, throw a shoe at your opponents scale to knock everything off. Your lasso should stay, giving you the win.
Jigsaw often deceives people into thinking that there is only one way to beat the game (fallacy of false alternatives) but his mechanics and designs are often flawed and easily beatable. His bad game design leads to exploits smart players can take advantage of.
Jigsaw wouldn't understand because he's not a gamer.
