Cloudveil Traverse: Exposed Ridgeline in Grand Teton National Park

  • 21 miles and 11,000 vertical ft of exposed ridge lines and rustic beauty in Grand Teton National Park. Few places are as awe inspiring as the Tetons and it's no surprise that you would find one of the greatest traverses within its borders. On a side note, I'd just like to say that friends don't let friends spend all day filming themselves with chocolate on their lips. Seriously, this is the third time I've had to edit an episode where I have crap on my teeth or lips! Time for a Mediocre team meeting.

I've spent a lot of time in the Tetons, and I'd be way more worried about being exposed to weather in running shorts, free soloing 4th and 5th class terrain, than I would be of bears haha.

Giada_De_Low_Rent_Tits I totally agree but these guys have a lot of experience and I at least hope they’re making a more sober risk assessment in their head. They make videos for entertainment and I think part of their comedy comes from being seemingly nonchalant and cavalier about the dangerous, pain and suffering they go through in these videos. I would agree that a more serious disclaimer at the beginning of these videos talking about their years and years of experience and very real dangers of doing something like this without the right skills or training.

I would have run, hike, fall to my knees, vomit, vomit again, try to hike, try to run, vomit some more, and then cry a bit while I am vomiting of course. After my 3-mile adventure, I would have gone to my car at the lot and supplement my tired ass with a big mac while on the phone trying to make a reservation at Gun Barrel in Jackson Hole. Joking aside don't be fooled people, because these 3 guys are super-athlets and if you don't believe me just try to do a fast hike/scramble to Delta Lake, which is not even close to what these guys just did. RESPECT.

while they are extremely athletic, don't be fooled by their performance because they always do these extremely light weight trail runner style hikes with very little gear. Someone with a 40 lb pack will not accomplish this much, even though they might be just as athletic.
