This is not true. Australia is far far better. Don’t relate with inexperienced people. I moved from UK, lived many years in UK. But life in Australia is superbly good. It’s a different world with beautiful travel.

I know people who do 12 hour shift 3 days. Regarding weather you are correct. Regarding travel commute, depends on where you live. If you rent, you can live close to work or city. If you buy a house, may be around 1 hour to 1.5 hours. Any country you go, you have to start from scratch. Do not plan to migrate if you cross 40.

The truth is, Australia has very strict immi rules, which is not a walk in the park for an average mallu. For them lot, the easiest bet is UK and since UK has a much relaxed immi policy, moving there is quite possible, compared to the excruciating filtering process of the Oz's.
Problem is Australia cannot take too many immigrants. It is the way it is. It is one of the least economically diversified western countries. Can't create too many mining jobs. Probably Chinese cannot absorb all the extra mining done by Australians. Also Chinese can get some of the stuff from Africa and South America.

All these people who comment about Australia does not understand few things usually: Australia is really huge and it has places with all sorts of climate. You can find proper cities or you can choose to stay in Kerala like places with humid climate. All the dangerous animals these people talk about are not throughout Australia. My advice: Prioritise what you like and look for an aussie city that offers most of it
Still you are very isolated. Think about living in a one horse town, isolated from rest of the world your whole life. In UK, Canada, USA you are not isolated.
@@lakeofbays1622 AU and NZ are definitely isolated from rest of the countries. But how often do we all fly to some other country? If you meant isolated within Australia, that's far from the truth. There are suburbs in Melbourne where there 2000+ Malayali families living toegther, but there are also people like me who doesn't care about such stuff much. UK is about the size of Victoria state by land size, which is the smallest state in mainland Australia and Melbourne the capital has more than double the number of skyscrapers than London. It takes 4 hours to fly from one end of Australia to the other and there are plenty of options to choose based on what you prefer.
@@CoconutDiaries I do all the time. I have been to US about a dozen times this year. Also going to Costa Rica in February. Then may be to Europe this summer. All major European capitals are only 6 hour flights from Toronto. Try that trick from Australia.

In my experience salary is 75% more than UK , living expenses is less than UK . Only rent is bit high at the moment. No council tax , no TV licence 😂, no nation insurance. Water bill, gas , electric are all 35 % less than UK , vegetable pice are less than UK, all kind of vegetables are available . Petrol prices are cheap , insurance is cheap , and the used car price is a bit high.. big house by paying 25 % more rent compared to UK .very good weather etc .

You are absolutely correct. We looked at the option 25 years ago from Canada. Decided against the move. I am a Chartered Accountant and wife FRCP(Canada) physician. We decided not to sacrifice our built up career in Canada.

Only drawback is that nurses have 12 hr shift, so dependant is difficult to work. But if they bring parents both can work full time and earn lots of money.....98% of people are happy in Australia. But in UK maybe 10%
