- PT Mattel Indonesia produces more Barbie dolls than any other plant in the world. Every year they create a special doll just for the employees at the plant. This year the employees received PTMI Birthday Doll Vogue Black. In this video, I unbox and review this special doll by Mattel. I take a close 360 view of the doll's screening, outfit and accessories.

For those who wondered, PTMI stands for Perseroan Terbatas Mattel Indonesia, or Mattel Indonesia Limited Liability Company (LLC). These birthday dolls are annual releases gifted to Mattel's manufacturing plant employees in Cikarang, West Java. This year's doll is quite special, as it's also released to commemorate the plant's 30th anniversary. She is limited to only 11,500 pieces. (That is also how many workers are employed at the plant.)

I had to get her also .I think she is one of the best.She is chic who ever decided on making her was so on the money such a winner.I like articulated body better but the face is the most important.I don't think Mattel has that white articulated body.I will wait.

BTW if anyone is interested in getting her earrings - I just bought a bunch of doll earrings on Ali Express, and that very style was among the pairs I purchased for $2 each. I bought them for my 16-inch fashion dolls, but I can see they look just as lovely on a Barbie. The pair I bought is in a gold finish with the clear rhinestones, not the silver finish like the ones on the birthday doll.

I didn't even know about this doll. She's nice but at the same time it makes me miss the sultry eye makeup of a late 2000s collector Barbie. In Mattel's defense, they've never made great handbags.

I like the chic look paired with a bob haircut but I don't get the allure of middle part hairstyles. It feels too one dimensional, there's just no mystery or that aloof quality or versatility that I like about old Hollywood glamour with a side part. Middle parts feel like a curtain over the face for me. But she's not that bad either.
