I can totally appreciate that long-time W Club members may be underwhelmed by the 2023 reproductions. You are correct that someone like me who just joined is totally over the moon to have these dolls!
Same! I’ve only just started collecting and this gives me the opportunity to get previous dolls. I think it’s fantastic.
I'm happy that they are doing repros for the upgrade dolls as I am new to the Wclub, but I also understand where older collectors are coming from. I'm especially happy about Alejandra being reproduced as her original doll was a grail of mine, but on the 2nd hand market she goes for $500 nude 😲
I love my earth angel Eden. For this year's upgrades, I wasn't a fan of the original releases so I won't be getting any of the variants. With that said, I'm happy for the collectors who loved them. I do wish we had gotten a variant of grails. Like, day tripper, sweet nothings gretel eden, metamorphosis erin, hard metal lilith, Ayumi, or hold that tiger. I hope IT doesn't take the negative feedback as indication we don't want any variants. Just do the ones we are pleading for 😒

As someone who is still relatively new to the Club (only my second year), I was left underwhelmed. I know I should expect as least one doll to be Poppy Parker, but I fully agree with the Poppy fatigue sentiment regarding last year. I feel as though I keep seeing the same sculpts and I wonder if it’s worth resubscribing. This past year, I only ended up with two dolls besides one upgrade. If I renew this year, I likely won’t get any of these dolls with my membership.
Hey, I only purchased dolls from ebay when I started collecting. They came minus the box, sans accessories and were au naturale. It took me a good 3-4 years before I could afford to buy from Integrity Toys.
@@jbt5542 I’m not sure what blessings I should be counting. I mean, you got your dolls, so…? I never wanted any before joining the Club, and I doubt I would buy any from eBay or Mercari, or wherever, when I am no longer a part of it. This isn’t a free membership-neither is it a necessity-so I’m entitled to be disappointed when it fails to deliver. And if I’m unhappy, I just don’t buy. You don’t have to be a member to buy them dolls, as you’ve shown.
I live outside of the U.S., very far away in fact. Upgrade dolls have given me the opportunity to purchase dolls that I missed out on previously. I will add that I loved the upgrades for 2022 and the 2023 upgrades have won my heart no end! I will be purchasing all three for a second year running, yay me!
The poppy makeup is sooo good
I was a little underwhelmed with the upgrade dolls but after some thought I do like the color variant. I will be getting all 3. I wish they would do a variant of London Show Nadja and believe the hype Tate Tanaka. I did preorder the most recently unveiled Tate w/flock haired but want the Tate with hair. Im joining because there is always that one doll that I want and don't want to buy on the secondary market. So im going to enjoy the ride. 🤗
As someone who is new to Integrity, I appreciate the colour variants. They are completely new to me.
I can understand where older collectors are coming from, but I think this year’s upgrades are for the newbies (and people who are the “gotta have one in every colour” type)
Hopefully the rest of the year lives up to the older collectors expectations.
I'm fairly new to the club myself, this will be my 4th year, but even I was disappointed by these choices. Collectors have been begging to revisit certain characters/screenings etc that have become grails amongst the community, so why not chose to do a reproduction of those instead of such recent dolls like Alejandra, or a recolour of a recolour for Poppy? The only one that made sense for me was Eugenia since she was a convetion exclusive. Thats not to say they're not beautiful dolls... Poppy is stunning and i'll be adding her to my membership for the year, just feels like they could've better executed the colour variant idea if they'd chosen more sought after dolls like Big eyes as you mentioned. Especially with Poppy having a MOD collection this year, would've made more sense for a MOD reproduction to represent the line.
I do like Eugenia, but I think the other two are less attractive versions of the originals. I am debating not joining at all this year, since I didn't buy any dolls last year. At $300 CAD (with shipping and taxes), I am looking for something really outstanding. I do get entertainment value from being in the W Club and keeping an eye out for that one doll I can't resist, so I might join anyway without any upgrade dolls.
This is my first W Club Year with a basic membership. But I´m not bitter or anything else. I own Powder Puff Poppy and I don´t care for Eugenia or Alejandra. I´m happy for all the collectors, new or old, who love them and pre ordered them 😘
Love you boys so so much !! followed your amazing channel for 2 years now 😍, I’m a doll collector myself and photographer and artist and I’ve always wanted an integrity doll and today I’ve just ordered my very first girlie and probably the last due to the price lol , she’s the beach girl I’m not sure of her name yet but I’m so so excited 😍😍
Great review of the 2022 dolls! I'm going to pass on getting this year's upgrades, but I'm happy for those who now have the opportunity to get them after previously missing out. As much as I'm excited for the mod themed looks David was teasing in the membership launch video, I just hope that IT spaces out the Poppy releases better this year, or at least give some shine to her friends. Curious to see what they do with NuFace this year
I think this Moment theme will be polarizing... But I do understand that probably that could be a temporary solution to have "more dolls completed" within the production year, since the "testing fashion" time will be reduced for previously fabricated fashion designs... Now the "selection" of these Moment dolls will be decisive for the reaction of many collectors. For me I really hope to see Erin as a cool color variation of 24K, Metamorphosis or Lady in Red, probably it is a long shot, but one could dream, right? About the past Upgrade dolls (2022) I honestly was not excited.. I only liked Agnes, but the dress material isn't my favorite, but she still looks sultry with that hairstyle and makeup.. For this year, I only liked the color variation of Luna... But again, the dress is not my favorite. I do not love that Eugenia (nor the convention one) and while I think the yellow poppy will be a great addition for the previous Rose and Baby Blue Poppy, I think they will be great for those who like that style of nightgown.. I am not into that so I will skip her.. But the doll is lovely. BTW Yes, I will sign in on this new 2023 Club Year..
I only have a couple of Eugenia dolls. So I ordered her. I love the first Alejandra, so I got her also. It's a pass on Poppy because I'm not a big Poppy fan.
The last few years have not offered much for me with upgrades. I am glad I got multiples of that Nadja ❤! She’s my FAVORITE. Agnes is calling me and wants braids lol.
I just hope that they chose an older doll to recreate.. maybe metamorphosis erin or the luxelife convention twins with swapped colors...
My opinion on the 2023 upgrades are that at first I was kinda disappointed… I love Alejandra a lot but even with the first iteration I was not a fan of her dress and had a difficult time selling. Eugenia is very pretty and I can say for newcomers she’s a great doll but for me easy pass. Saving money is always great so I’m not mad.. poppy was the one I screamed for lol! I missed out on both previous versions so I definitely love seeing her in this A tone version. Finally since they’re revisiting past dolls it would be cool to see dolls like enchantress Nadja, day tripper poppy, I can’t remember her name but the Isha from the collection with divinity Agnes and just some major major dolls. I also would love to see a mix up with like a doll being featured in another dolls look. For instance, enchantress Dominique or total Betty colette. That would have really shaken things up.

Last year I ordered 2 of the 3 upgrade dolls. This year, if i order any it will be Poppy. I missed out on the first two versions, so I'd like to add this one to my collection.

As many have stated, and being a new collector, I appreciate being able to buy color variations on past dolls...to be completely honest, they could have literally released the original doll and colors, and I would have been stoked because I don't have them and want them (well not the Poppy...). 🤣 Naturally, I understand this is a disappointment for established collectors who already have many dolls and want new dolls they haven't seen before. Still, if the overarching theme for the year is going to be color variations of past dolls...as was implied a few times...I think it's a little unrealistic to expect the most coveted grail dolls to be part of the upgrade dolls when you join the club. Right? Wouldn't you, as a company, want to build up to more coveted dolls throughout the year if the plan is to recreate "moments" of previous dolls? I think part of the disappointment of these upgrade dolls for established collectors is not so much that they DON'T want color variations...but instead that they don't want THESE dolls as color variations. If the Poppy had been Catch that Tiger or Young Romantic or Kicks...people would be going crazy...but then what would you have to look forward to in the year as far as re-released color variations? I'm extremely curious to see who they do color variations on next and who the new FR character Jesse created is! How is no one talking about that? Anyway, I would love to see people's reactions if they bring back the dolls many of us only see in pictures and hear talk about. Fingers crossed! 🤞
I'm a very long time Wu Club member and I was very disappointed in the 2023 upgrade dolls. Like you I'm always pleased for those who like a doll - after all we all have different tastes and are at different stages in our doll collecting journey. But I always find colour variants a bit "lazy". just like I hate endless movie sequels where they wring dry a franchise until it is a shadow of the original. I loved the reimagining they did of some grails a few conventions ago where we got really innovative takes on old favourites but changing the colours seems a bit boring. It will be very interesting to see what the edition sizes end up being.

The edition sizes are going to be what they always are-sky high, because of all the people in the club who only join to flip. I would be shocked if even 20% of the memberships are actual doll collectors who purchase and keep the dolls for their own collections.

Is there any chance of Jem being a Moments doll that might get released this upcoming club year? I only buy Jem dolls & I know the license is over but not sure if they could revisit a design that was already done during that time frame 🤔 Just wondering if I need to renew if there’s a chance we’ll get any Jem dolls.
My feelings on the 2023 upgrades were directly opposite to the 2022 ones on first glance - last year's upgrades I had to fight myself to cut down on and only get one while this year's I was struggling a LOT to want any. Especially since we are newly getting the prior upgrades I think these landed like a thud but I already feel myself softening on Eugenia while Poppy was always the one I would've considered of this trio but between all my preorders and the chance to still get the prior upgrades for decent prices I still feel unsure.
I saw you eventually decided on none 👀 I’m still heavily debating myself lol we’ll really have to see. I think I’d be perfectly content getting none of them lol but for the sake of reviewing…we’ll see. 🥲 Eugie is at least a slightly unique design and the Poppy variant has grown on me. I’m least inclined to Luna, given I already wasn’t hugely attached to her signature outfit as it was. -Max
@@ToyChat I really just had to go with my heart and my wallet. None of them moved me enough at this pricing and with all my preorders still waiting to be released I decided against it. I get it could be/feel different if I was a reviewer tho so just do what you feel is right 🤞🏾

Man, I was completely underwhelmed during the launch of the 2022 club year, and I'm just as underwhelmed seeing the dolls now. Ultra Violet Poppy Parker should have been a Macy's exclusive. All I can see with her is a Macy's advertisement. I was bored with the basic jeans (with heart pockets you're never going to look at!) then, and I can still say the same now. Color variations would have been great for an anniversary year. Did we already need a variant Alejandra Luna doll? Hush! The answer is NO, we didn't. The ONLY one I slightly like is Eugenia, but let me tell you how many more Caucasian blonde dolls I need in my collection: ZERO. They are struggling to keep up. They don't want to admit it, but they are.
Hi, I am wondering how fast the doll bodies ship if you order from the website? Like why are they double the price on eBay? Is it several months to a year later, like the dolls? I've never ordered one before. Thanks.
They're ready to ship directly to you (usually 1-3 days with USPS priority mail), if you are ordering from the IT shop. Same thing with the event leftovers and Keeki Basics doll. I'm sure they'll do some restocks over the year, like they did with the True bodies recently.

Last years upgrades are fantastic , I got all 3 , this year I had hoped for Alejandra which red hair so yay but yes perhaps a new outfit would have been nice , Eugenia I never got the original so I got this one and yes I was slightly disappointed with poppy but since I have the blue and the pink I kinda completed the set so I got her , but overall disappointed [even though they got my cash ]
Poppi is expensive .You must have saved a lot for this.

I will no longer subscribe to the club, I’ve gone back to school and loans are kicking my ass. I don’t really feel like I’m missing out.
Yep, I hear ya! I did the same and had to forgo dolls for a number of years. It only fuelled my desire for dolls down the track and I started collecting like a woman possessed
I don't like these dolls. They always make them with those snotty scowls on their faces.
Yup, they aren't for everyone. Most of my collection has friendlier dolls, but I like a few baddies for some variation. Also, there are some screenings with gentler eyebrows, particularly in Poppy Parker, that look much sweeter.
