Do you know of any good resources for ancient Greek? Do you recommend using the modern Greek pronunciation to pronounce ancient Greek? I was just wondering because there are different pronunciation schemes for pronouncing ancient Greek.
Hi! In Greece we use the modern pronunciation for ancient Greek. I recommended because we don't lesrn ancient lsnguages to communicate but to understand anciemt texts. I don't have any resources in mind, since the ones I used were my free schoolbooks. But this thread might help: www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/classics/comments/9nlkw2/best_resources_for_learning_ancient_greek/
I am totally don't understand and never see before the word of greek. But i am eager to learn on my own. But i don't know how to pronounce them, their writing....etc guide me how
Hi! You can check the description for your Udemy discount for my course :) and you can find many free videos on this channel + articles at helinika.com. Hope this helps!
@Helinika do you recommend watching greek movies with greek subs or english subs? I find that I understand a lot more and capture more words with english subs, but you might have an other opinion? =)
Hi Nichlas, it really depends on your level. As a beginner, it makes sense watching with ENG subs. On higher levels (B1, B2) you can already start watching with Greek subs. But at the end of the day, it is a matter of personal preference. :)
All she says is absolute true.. a person i know from stories of my greek friend learned greek in 6 months!!
How did she do it?
Yasas! Hope that’s how you say it! Thanks Helinka!

In this video, you recommended befriending a native speaker.
The only problem is that, it is a little bit difficult actually finding a native Greek.
Maybe if you know any native Greek that wants to have an English penpal or exchange partner, I'm free

Are there any good books that you recommend?
You can find a list of books on a separate video on my channel + my book "Stories to Learn Greek"
Is this a one time purchase or monthly subscription the course?
One time purchase :)
@@helinika thank you so much!

That background music was so annoying I only managed to hear the first minute!
Subtitles?
Sorry, I has to stop watching-it is impossibly annoying to try to hear someone speak when there’s music playing.
Not true . But here Mike was a little bit questionable
