Like the tip around storing the water bladder in the freezer. I put paper towel and use the hairdryer to dry mine but will keep it in my freezer until I use it again after watching

A spoonful of sodium percarbonate and fill with warm water works wonders for cleaning bladders and their hoses.

Another thing people forget to dry out before putting away if not used often is hiking shoes/boots. Working as a hiking guide I saw a fair few soles delaminate on the first day of a hike due to hydrolysis.

Yes. And while I've always cleaned and dried my boots, I'm discovering there is more to it. I've just bought Lowa boots for my wide + feet - their care guide is really detailed. All the things I could have been doing to look after my previous boots - including not drying them in the sun (oops)
