Here early for once
Can confirm that the most important thing that humans sit on is a chair.
Does it eject?
But can it do this?
Well i am 187cm or 6F 2Inch tall, but sadly I weigh around 140 to 145kg which is like around 320 to 330 pounds......
Otherwise I would have bought it....
The U-Wing is basically just a badass sci-fi version of a Huey and I'm very disappointed it isn't just everywhere in Rise of the Empire era content.
They just couldn't get a long-term license for "Fortunate Son", a major component of the ship's attack software.
Fun Fact:The fastest Starfighter in Star Wars is the Missile Boat which can reach a humble speed of 122 MGLT, but with the energy directed only to the engines it can reach 250 MGLT and with the SLAM this starfighter can reach 426 MGLT.
everyone forgets the missleboat and gunboat
I don't sure that it can be called a starfighter because it functions very much like a miniature arsenal ship. Not even mini bomber likes Su-34 or F-15E/F can carry that much weight of ordinance, but Missile Boat did it with that small package.
@@Rebellion90s its a Robotech fighter built in the Star Wars universe essentially.
gotta love a half hour long generation tech video
Yep. I'm actually tired of short 15 minute videos. Thirty minutes at least. I spend twenty minutes just to find something to watch for only a eight minute video. People only want to watch short videos my ass
Fun fact, at the ISS’s current altitude it would take around a little more than 15 minutes for kylo ren’s fighter to circle around the globe fully
A very fast ship from Legends that deserves to be mentioned is the "Ascendant Spear", a colossal imperial destroyer neurally controlled by the seductive Sith Falleen Darth Karrid. Due to both its class 0.5 hyperdrive and Karrid's indomitable will, it was much faster and more destructive than anyone in the galaxy could imagine.
The fastest ship without a doubt was the ancient Sith Dreadnough "the Harbinger". It was so damn fast it literaly traveled 5000 years into the future by just making an hyper-space jump. Shame the people they tried to meet couldn't appreciate such feat 😅
That was because the hyperdrive got damaged right as it jumped
@jakealter5504 Still fast
It took It 5000 Years to male a single Jump, doesen't seem really fast😂
@@Diamondwall1
As someone with a high ground would say: "It all depends on the point of view"
No. There is another..
"They must have hyperjets on that thing!"
"Whadda we got on this thing? A Cuisinart?!?"
~ Colonel Sanders and Dark Helmet
Minor nitpicking: the "l" in TIE/ln is a lower case "L" as it stands for "line" as compared to the TIE/IN (the *In*terceptor).
Would the Lambda Class shuttle be big enough to convert into a home, like Han did with the Falcon? I have always loved that ship.
The interior is bigger than my first apartment.
The Lambda would pass, with some plumbing "facilities" and a galley kitchen, as a $1,300/month NYC apartment. If you import the rats first.
Just go with the sentinel version #39. Thing can hold 75 people, it's faster with better weapons and armor 😅
I'm so glad that my favorite ship, the A Wing was so high in the list.
And even in the top 10.
It's shocking how slow SW starfighters in atmo top speeds are.
I think being a gear head is definitely an aspect closely tied into the Star Wars mythology - Lucas was a gear head, that Hot Rod mentality from the 1950’s and 60’s is a big part of what makes Star Wars fun
Thanks for the video, needed that today.
Hell yeah boy fast ships we like that.
I'm taking any ship breakdown video as a win. I'm eating dolphin tonight.
I enjoyed this more than I was expecting, primarily due to the historical notes which proved interesting.
17:23 was the ARC ever modified and used as a bounty hunter ship or any other use other than a fleet snub fighter/range patrol vessel?
My favorite fighter had always been the interceptor
Hopefully you make the toughest ships in star wars video, that be so dope
I just watched “The Sith are Lonely” video you made and I just thought about it. If Vader died on Mustafar who would’ve been palpatines enforcer like Vader was? Maybe an interesting video idea. Like were there any other potential candidates palpatine had in mind?
The Hardcell-class interstellar transport with the right modifications and a proper refit it would make a great home or hotel.
24:55 Actually only one of the two rangers thought Din Djarin had jumped to hyperspace. Carson Teva knew that it was just Din's thrusters.
Thank you for all the efforts you put in to make videos like this.
Love the space engineers plug 😊
10:50 or like the Ark SE mod Primitive+ that became an official part of the game
And now it does this (goes right to a football ad) as he shows the clip of Din firing up his ship
great video i'm wondering about the racers from resistance and how fast they would have been
I had to stop the video for a good minute @3:00 with him calling the hardcell the hardcell class fuelbomb
Love the light up Cody Lego helmet on the shelf. Great job on the videos. You keep it interesting with the ideas you consider for the content.
I know it wasn't a star fighter, but I wonder what the MGLT was for the Eye of Sion? It was a large hyperspace transport ring built under the supervision of the witch Morgan Elsbeth, with the intent of reaching Peridea. Built with 5 SSD hyperdrive. It probably very slow sub-light speed, but boy did it pack a punch when it when into hyperspace.
Whats with Tie platforms having no visable thruster output? What is different about their engines?
TIE's use twin Ion Engines.
Very Nice 💛💛
Give Anakin a ship full of sand and you wil see what is truly fast
Or give him a Beyblade like ship
He would like it since *SPINNING IS A GOOD TRICK* 😂
A wings and eta2's are my favorites of all time
What boggles my mind is thinking about how some of the ships had speeds not consistent with their canonical portrayal. In A New Hope, the Tantive IV, based on these ratings, should have outpaced the ISD pretty comfortably. So it’s kinda weird that the ISD ever managed to get within firing range in the first place.
Not just that, but the idea that ships in space have 'maximum speeds' at all is pretty shaky.
In cannon, the Tantive IV was heavily damaged and undergoing maintenance during the battle of Scariff. This included damage to the engines and the hyperdrive, so the ship was definitely not traveling at top speed.
Are you referring to sublight speeds in space? Or the MGLT rating in atmosphere…which I don’t understand how that measurement is derived nor why it would apply to in-atmosphere speeds.
@@ronjon7942 In atmosphere speeds are a mess in themselves. Apparently the X-wing can manage 1,050 km/h, yet the TIE fighter, which is about as aerodynamic as a _brick_ can somehow make 1,200 km/h
Was one of the reasons why people hated Kylo Ren was that he had a great starfighter and they did not?
Actually I've heard that it was him being shredded
What is your favorite Star Wars Habitable Planets/Moons?
My favorite is Naboo and Nar Shardaa
Dantooine
@@Nenshokaze, Dantooine is too remote...
@@warpartyattheoutpost4987 Exactly and it’s peaceful. Rarely messed with throughout Star Wars history except that time the Sith bombed the Jedi Temple there.
Edit: Another option might be Wayland or Fresia.
@@Nenshokaze I live in Oregon, not far from where Endor was filmed. I'd probably choose Endor.
@@Nenshokaze... even though I hate Ewoks. It's beautiful here.
Arakyd Helix yacht/fighter/freighter. Nothing faster that's not involved in a relativistic incident.
Basically the SWU Bugatti Vairon...
(The MGLT listing has to be a typo, as it was marketed as faster than the Awing or TIE Interceptor with a sublight speed above both in the RPG.)
Fun fact: the MGLT rating is directly correlated to the RPG "Sublight Speed" Value given in ship STATS, just shift a Decimal place and tweak the 1/10ths place to add variation.
TIE Interceptor Sub Spd = 11 (D20) 11d (WEG D6), MGLT =110
Awing sub Spd = 12 (D20) /12d (WEG D6), MGLT = 120.
Since you brought up RPG and WEG d6 with each class of ship or grade of star fighter or cargo ship Speed Units.
From WEG to WotC 3e to 4e Saga Edition Star Wars and other side books, the average flight speed from a planets orbit to nearest moon is 30minutes.
The moon from earth is basic a light second away. So Star Wars ships move at 2light seconds per hour with imperial t/e interceptors travel at 8ls/hr.
Just for the T/E fighter to break orbit it has to go 12km/8mi per sec for 3minutes to get to space. Along with a navigation deflector to push aside space dust which would impact with around 2.7x the force of the A10 warthog cannon bullet fire from head on conclusions. Then you have orbital space dust clouds on side impacts that you want to avoid. Flak moving at around 24km/sec can be a wreaker.
Yeah we were a bunch of nerds that like word math problems. Some Roll play, others role play and then you had us.
As for that clip from Mandolarian, " Did him just Jump ?"
Size of the given planet, I could say the boosters just went x3 to 4 planet diameter per second, say 27,000km to 32,000km per second.
I love the humor of the scene but the star fighters inertia dampener ?
You should update the top rated starships for hyperspace capabilities. I would add the Eye of Sion into this list due to the ship having six SISD hyperdrives
That was a slick BSG Viper move by Vader in his X1, where he took out at least one A-Wing by flipping over and firing, while coasting in reverse.
At first I thought he was flipping around to avoid the nose of that corvette, but then I saw his attitude and thought “wellllll, that cheeky, cheeky bastard.”
Ok, I'll be the fuddy duddy here. Two ship breakdown Ideas here:
1. A long form marathon video on notable fanon ships. Many of them have associated fanon lore. It could be fun and it could be a lengthy video.
2. Can we get a marathon deep dive ship breakdown with updated stats and lore on lesser known starships canon/legends? No specific focus per se, but just a deep dive on all starships. There is a video out there already, but there are just so many more ships that didn't make the cut. I love these longer ship breakdown videos.
Glorious
I noticed you put the YT 1300 in there. Where would the falcon itself rate or did I just miss that?
A-Wing superiority all the way. The interceptor interceptor
Only the Suncrusher is higher on my list
Wow cool
How fast was the Lancer class pursuit craft?
You're not sure how far a megalight is but you're going to use it anyway. I guess that works for 'this is faster than that' or something. But some people might have their own personal favorite ships that they want to compare and megalights being undesignated leaves them at a loss. Perhaps you could give you're arbitrary distance of a megalight for reference?
3. A-Wing
2. TIE Defender
1. Missile Boat
N1 mentioned 😤✊
The arc 170 isn't a failure they just didn't use in it's proper role never meant for dog fighting
In Star Wars, one megalight per hour (MGLT) is approximately 1/1,000,000 of a lightyear, or 1,097 kilometers per hour (km/h). This is equal to 640 miles per hour (mph).
He didn’t rank The Ghost. Wow
Is there a MGLT to MPH/KPH that corresponds with perceived speeds from on camera battles? The ones I've seen are disproportionately fast.
Star Wars being Star Wars. There's some grease monkey that dumpster dove in a places like Jakku or Exegol and cobbled together a one of a kind insanely fast ship.
Do you think the star wars galaxy would survive Bill Cipher?
How about the Uglys? I wonder how fast a Ugly based on a U-wing body and wings with 2 or 4 A-wing engines would be?
No Z-95 Headhunter?
I'd fly a Aurek Strikefighter any day. A modernized version would be pretty awesome...
Hello, I would like to point out awhile back we concluded 1 MGLT was equal to "MACH 1.1" based on the canon length of a Executor Class Super Star Destroyer, and how fast a TIE Fighter travels the length of one from stern too bow traveling " 1 MGTL"
In the lore, for most ships, they are able to travel much much faster in Atmosphere with their shields on and intact. So if a TIE Interceptor with shields on wanted to travel on a earth like planet at max top Atmospheric speed, it would travel at 111 MGTL = MACH 122.1.
I suspect all ships have limiter's in their flight computers that wont let them fly at top speeds with shields on populated planets, because in theory a squadron of "Zaarin TIE Defenders" flying at MACH 198 for a long time could cause a planet serious problems.
This numbers look close to correct because the acceleration for the engines on a TIE Interceptor or TIE Defender is the fastest in popular fictions. Macross Valkyries and even War Hammer 40ks Star Fighters can not keep up with the acceleration Star Wars Rebellion era craft have.
The TIE Interceptor and the TIE Defender have an g acceleration of 4,220. One g is equal to 22 MPH per sec. For the two mentioned ties, it would be 92,840 MPH per sec or MACH 121 per sec.
if u were to travel at Mach 122 youd have to be at a certain altitude just to be clear of any mountain or high structure you could possibly run in cuz at that speed even 10 miles are nothing
I see you didn't include the tri droid fighter at 125 MGLT the fastest untill the sequel era
Grand Admiral Zaarins TIE Defenders and Grand Admiral Thrawns Missile Boat are dramatically faster.
The Missile Boat with "slam" activated is traveling mglt 400-500
Alright Gear Head Alan is back!
A wild DayZ reference appeared!
I'm surprised the Providence got in over the much faster Recusant.
I like the YT freighters, but i always thought the Falcon was overrated. Lando and han made a lot of modifications to the ship, but stuff was always breaking on it as a result.
Ahh, yes, star wars space ships lore ❤
Ships I would have liked to see, even though they both would probably have been at the bottom of this list, the Cloakshape and the I-7 Howlrunner
The A-9 Vigilance as well (there's supposedly a follow on A-10, but no info is ever given that I know of in Legends)...but it's probably place pretty high in this particular list
The ST has some lazy ship design but I LOVE the TIE Silencer and how OP it is
Dolphins attack at midnight
Hi friends, welcome to Alan. My name is Generation Tech.
Regarding the N-1 Naboo Starfighter; Mando-Dad outran New Republic era X-Wings (Probably still T-65B's) easily with his broken-down, rebuilt, piece of junk N-1 above Tatooine. Modified, even, with a non-aerodynamic bubble top for Grogurt (I know, space has no atmosphere for friction, so aerodynamics has zero factor in space)
Edit: Just watched to the end of the video, yeah, Mando-Dad's N-1 WAS heavily modified... okay.
I had always thought if ships used their shields in atmosphere, they could have a more aerodynamic ‘shape’ and go much, much faster.
But then I caught in some video/comments that shields can’t be deployed in atmosphere?? Why would that be?
Imagine a tie interceptor with a missile launcher launching buzz droids
Silencer is my favorite. It's the best part of the sequel trilogy.
I feel like the Y-Wings' numbers are wrong. One of the main reasons for removing the plating on Rebellion Y-Wings was to increase their speed and maneuverability, so the clone wars model should not be faster.
Maintenance was another issue, but I seriously doubt the Rebellion or the manufacturer would have made changes that slowed the ship down.
most of these could use a rework. with the size of the Y-wing's engines relative to it's hull it should be one of the faster starfighters, except for the brainbug of Bomber=slow.
there is also no good reason that the Lamda would not only be slower than the bigger, heavier, Sentinel, but slower than the ISD itself.
The Rebellion Y-wings were:
Older designs
_Much_ older vessel
Repaired with whatever parts were available, not those that were best suited
@GoranXII No, many of the individual ships may have been older by the Battle of Yavin may have been older, but the design definitely wasn't.
Y-Wings were first introduced during the Clone wars. The Clone Wars Y-Wing that this video mentioned at 100mgl was the first model. The later Y-Wings would have either been a later version (which should have been improved) or Clone Wars models stripped down by the Rebellion to reduce their weight and increase their speed and maneuverability. As such, the Rebellion Y-Wings should have at least been the same speed as the Clone Wars Y-Wings, if not faster after their modifications. You may be able to excuse slow speed on an individual ship, but not the entire line.
Going further, the post-Galactic Civil War model, in particular, should have been at least as fast or faster than both of the prior two models. It doesn't make sense for that model, which was completely "new" to be slower than the Clone wars model when it is based on newer tech and doesn't include all of the heavy armor of that model.
@@chrishakala528 It's clearly stated in the video that the Ships the rebels had were BTL-A4s, while the Clone Wars ones were BTL-Bs, so clearly a later design. Or maybe the -Bs were souped-up 'money-no-object' units, but too high-maintenance for the Rebellion.
As for the Rebellion-era stuff, it was mostly years old, and almost certainly had to make do with whatever parts could be procured, rather than whatever parts gave the best performance.
And in the New Republic era, it's possible the budget wasn't available to procure craft with better performance. Or maybe the thought was that, without the Empire, the anti-capital-ship bombers wouldn't need much improvement.
@GoranXII No, the BTL-B was the original model. In the Clone Wars TV series, they are first used in the attack on the Malevolence, and it is strongly implied, if not outright stated, that this is either the first ever use of Y-Wings in combat, or one of the very first times it was used. Sources such as Wookiepedia also clearly state that the BTL-B Y-Wing starfighter was the very first model of the craft.
I think you are misinterpreting the designation. The Y-Wing models are not designated in lexigraphical order.
The BTL-A4 isn't older than the BTL-B just because it has an "A" in it. Likewise, the "S" in the BTL-S3 doesn't denote when it was manufactured compared to the others. The BTLA4 and BTL-S3 are both newer models than the BTL-B.
All of this still misses the point that the brand new latest model, the BTA-NR2", shouldn't be inferior to the Clone Wars model either. My guess is that the BTL-B's speed is exaggerated in one or more source books without a proper comparison to the other ships.
What’s an MGLT
What kinda speed can we expect to see from an off the line Jawa sand crawler?
Rogue Shadow for me! Not because its fast but because its loved! By me!
Something went wrong here! The Defender is faster than the A-wing. Silencer is what precedes it.
Hi Allen !!!!!🤨
the first order star destoryer being the second fastest ship makes The Last Jedi look even worse... its just one giant chase where the fastest ships in the galaxy couldn't catch the resistance.
Ah 6 years ago we were so naive, we had no idea that getting stabbed by a lightsaber was just a mere flesh wound
How were first order ships so darn fast
Why not just invest in 100 or 200 tie defenders and put them on the death star? It seems like a good combination.
Maybe we should go by parsecs just remember we did the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs😂
So you're telling me that if a Resurgent-class Star Destroyer saw a squad of ships coming at it they could just high-tail it out of there and people couldn't do anything about it?
I think the N-1 tops out at 120 MGLT?
Where is anakins personal space ship from zonama sekot. Legends requierd
so the fast sub light speed starships
Well after a year of asking im going to geuss he won't see or won't do my video idea...
So, comment for the algorithm
Where's the love for Mando Motors
In fairness to the Alliance's Y-wings, they were stolen from scrapyards, and given that they were decommissioned, that also meant that replacement parts for them were also being pulled and scrapped. The Alliance had to scronge what they could and jury-rig when they could not scrounge in order to keep them functional. While it is theoretically possible to adapt parts or components of parts in some cases, there is no guarantee that this would maintain specs, let alone improve them, even more so over if trying to apply across a whole fleet of them.
So yeah, I am not surprised that the Republic Y-wing was faster.
That doesn't make sense? The lore for Gold Squadrons A4s has it that the engine are so turbo charged that they have the same speed capabilities as all the T65 X-Wings. Also Gold 2 moded the maneuverability capabilities of his A4 to be equal to a T-65
@@lancer737 Where did I say that it doesn't make sense? Care to point that out?
And Gold Squadron proves my point. It proves that maintenance and even upgrades for the Alliance's Y-wings were possible while simultaneously proving that Gold Squadron was one of the few examples of this, which meant that it could NOT be said for most Y-wing squadrons. Also, even Gold Squadron had the same difficulty with the supply chains for their Y-wings' parts, quite possibly even more difficulty for the more unique parts they obtained for their upgrades.
So again, where did I say that it doesn't make sense?
@@DavidRichardson153 you made it sound like the BTL-B variation is faster when the A4 is more of a heavy fighter, which tend to be faster than most craft, just not maneuverable "usually"
We have seen Gold Squadron and other A4 Squadron keep up with even TIE Interceptors, so I wouldn't assume A4s are slow and sluggish, minus what Rogue Squadron had, in comparison to the BTL-B and BTL-S3.
Sloop allen lol it's a small sailing vessel. A stoop means to lower or nod your head lol
If the N1s speed is 1100 and the TIE fighters speed is 1200 or then they have to switch places
I'm going to need something with over 9000 MGLT.
Din Jarins N1 is probably the fastest ship in the galaxy
cause i dont think anyone has ever commented on any other ship thinking they kicked on the hyperdrive
i wonder though... at what speed do you need to be to mimic the slowest hyperdrive
It's crazy that Din N-1 is the fastest ship in the galaxy
Some of the background from the sequel trilogy made feel like I was 13 playing Star Wars force unleashed again, so darn good. If only they hadn't mucked up the plotlines so badly
WIZARD!!!!
I have never made it through the entire video, this shit is like ambien.
I'm surprised the E-Wing didn't make the list. It sits at 120 MGLT which makes it as fast as both the T-85 and Tie/D Defender Elite.
Grand Admiral Zaarins TIE Defenders travel much faster
@lancer737 OK? My point still stands. Not sure exactly what your comment is attempting to convey.
@@GeneralHavek
1 Theirs a type of Defender much faster than an E-Wing
2 Lots of ships are missing from the list, including the Missile Boat, it can travel 400-500 mglt
@lancer737 OK, so make the argument that those should also have been included. You simply made a statement that was a non sequitur by context.
