Well if you need to start a WK series Grand Cherokee (2014 onwards), just remove the battery and push the fob on the start button. Try that first before you actually remove and possibly damage the start button on other Jeeps.
My'nstill won't start and key FOB stuck I can't get it to release to pull out. I've been gone trucking OTR 40 days I guess battery dead yet I don't want to break key fob
Question? Could this work in reverse. Let’s say all you have is the fob with no push button. Can you get a push button, stick it in and be on your way? Or is it more complicated than that?
@@REVENGEISCANDID can you? I have seen online you can get the push buttons for not very much but didnt know if that was all that was needed. Does it need programming like the keyfobs?
@@Speed_Newgarden yeah I’ve done it myself. I have a 2013 Durango r/t. I was using the key fob to turn it on and off. I ordered a push button, popped it in and boom. Works like a charm.

For the newer models are not needed just put the key fob on the stop start button then the car will know that your key fob is dead and you can go ahead and start

My 2011 GL450 Mercedes has the same ignition. I have tried this with my 2016 Grand Cherokee, but I can’t pop the start button out.

That did not work on the 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude and I have no idea why

if the battery goes dead, you can just use your key fob to push the button in. that way it reads the transponder
