Great! Another remote connection method.
I use VNC for my old Ubuntu and Pi. RDP for my new Ubuntu and Windows Pro. Chrome Remote Desktop for my Windows Home and Mac. Now Pi Connect for a new Pi.
Each one is a little finicky, so I had to play around with settings to get VNC to work from each client. I still haven't figured out why I can't connect to new Ubuntu from my phone with the Microsoft app, but it works fine from a PC.
I may be a grumpy, old man, but back in my day, we used X Windows, and we wrote our apps with Athena widgets. We didn't need no stinkin' Wayland!

not really the solution I am missing. I want it all in one spot as before, the VNC connect on my PC and Android tablet which shows me all servers and what not.
This is a complete different way. Big overhead with the browser window around the genuine Pi desktop.

This is interesting ! I wonder if there is a market to host US based Relay servers ? some people might feel a bit nervous about running everything to the UK 😅 then back and hoping for thr best along the way 😂

I don't understand what the issue w wayland is... When you update a raspi, wayvnc gets installed automatically. I guess it's only good over the internet if you want to open a port

so you needed to install 30 packages to run neofetch to see if you are on debian 11 or 12? omg....

He could have ran "lsb_release -a" or numerous other ways to check the version. It is what it is haha

Im so glad we are all being forced to switch to wayland. It works so well. Or just never will. Lets be real, wayland blows.
