Happy sewing! - Jak na to + styl
Thank you so much for this. I LOVE the pattern and just ordered it. You make it look very easy and can't wait to make it - perhaps a little longer.
So glad to know that you like the dress. I think it will look great in a longer version too. Thank you for your kind words! :)
Beautiful pattern and tutorial. Wonderful construction and finishes. I’m off to buy this one.
Thank you! I'm so glad that you like it.🤗
I think I might have made an error along the way... but putting the two pieces (the main body and the overlay) facing right-side together means that the overlay has ended up on the inside of the dress. What have I done wrong?
I am using a patterned linen, so there is most definitely a front and back to the fabric
Hi Naomi, so I was just checking what is going on and I think the error is from my side. At 0:40 I have made an error in the audio. Here we are placing the wrong sides of the fabric facing each other. (the right sides will be facing each other) so this is why your overlay has turned up on the wrong side.
I am so sorry! While i was pattern testing, no one seemed to have picked up on this, maybe because on plain linen both the sides look similar but thank you for bring it up, I will edit the audio to correct that part. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
Great! Thank you. Is there then also a mistake at 3:07? Because if I sew the shoulders of the front and back with the wrong side facing inward, the seams are then on the right side of the fabric. At 3:07 it says that we should put the right sides facing together, but shows the seams on the outside.@@PinsnPatterns
Sorry to keep bothering you... I'm a novice sewer and I don't want to make a mistake
Okay, I think I worked it out! At 0:40 it should be wrong sides facing together. At 1:29 it should be right sides facing. 😄
