    Such class. This channel is so far beyond any other hunting channel on YT or anywhere. Here in the US every single hunting channel starts the same
    " YEEEEAAAHHHH, BOOM CLAP, BOOM STOMP CLAP"
    I hate it so much. But not here.

    Credit where it’s due - that was more like your early CC stuff and all the better for it. Honest, educational and realistic. Fair play.

    I don't understand, you have one of the coolest/best channels with your content and you only have 9K followers, that's crap!

    Another excellent and informative video and although nothing grassed, that really epitomises true hunting

      Thanks Derek, I was a little concerned that this was not one of our usual nail biters and may come across as a little dull. Nonetheless, I thought it important to portray hunting as it really is and that often means no result.

    Very nice buck. Think he will be great in 1-2 years

    • @peterjones4442
      @peterjones4442 Před 3 lety +1

      Possibly 1-2yrs wouldn't hurt, but personally he's looks like a fairly old boy to me, maybe middle age to old, average body condition, very grey in the face, coronets dropping away to the outside of the pedicles. It's difficult to be exact with Roe, especially without being able to examine tooth wear etc. Either way thanks for watching!

    Just discovered wild venison, I was vegan for a few years to avoid factory farming but it seems to me deer hunting in this way is the best option for the environment. I’m considering taking up deer stalking but it seems a difficult thing to get into.

      @peterjones4442 Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for the comment and the vote of good sense, I think Vegan's have more in common with hunters than many might imagine. As for your comment about how to start deer stalking, this is a great place to begin: www.huntingacademy.co.uk/course/deer-stalking-course

    I would love to go on a stalk, the thought of being lucky enough to shoot a deer and then the possibility of taking meat home to feed my family is amazing to me! What is the best way to get started?

    Is it allowed in UK to shoot roe deer with a shotgun slug? That is pretty safe method of shooting in small patched areas and with correct type of slug you just make a clean (20mm) hole through the deer.

    • @peterjones4442
      @peterjones4442 Před 3 lety

      Thanks for watching and for the question. There are rare occasions when shotguns are permitted, but usually as a defence to the Deer Act which requires a rifle of at least .240 Cal', 1750ftlbs and 2450fps at the muzzle.
