As an actor she’s making the process a spiritual one instead of a psychology one. From a Christian perspective, what she should do is get to know her character on a psychological level, and protect her spirit. Exactly. Some people try to intallectualise their "process" to deliver a performance that is authentic to who the character is/how the character is written. "You have to dig deep and find the truth of who your character is" is a phrase so often heard when trying to convey an artistic endeavour. It's all pretend for crying out loud, which is why any "actor" depending on the role that engages in method acting is a clown to me. Study the character you're playing and pretend convincingly who the character is. Bringing spirits into this is either bs or you're that wack you need to resort to spell casting to try and improve your performance. Light and Dark is in all of us. I'm going to make a public confession. I started off disagreeing with you about Taraji's complaints on the money she makes in comparison to her peers. However, as you continued to make your point about being content with what God has blessed her (us) with, and not chasing the things of this world, my perspective changed. It was a reminder to me that just having the things that we need (not want) is proof of a blessed life. I constantly have to remind myself that I need to run my own race, focusing on God's plan for my life, and not get caught up in what someone else has or is doing.

Taraji P. Henson is a talented actress and I’ve enjoyed watching her in movies for years. There are some movies that she did better in than others and it’s disingenuous to say that her pay is mainly because she’s a black woman. She chooses to live in one of the most expensive states in America as well as one of the most expensive cities. She has three homes, two are worth over a million and continues to vote for policies that lead to paying higher taxes, including state income tax. Based on the decades of experience acting she’s selling herself short. She has plenty of opportunities available to her to make more money whether through make-up, fashion, home decor, jewelry or expanding her haircare line. I’m sure there are moments where she has been cheated with pay and overlooked, however that doesn’t automatically make that a racial issue. She complains about her financial struggles while serving a false God and has chosen to embrace witchcraft instead of the gospel and this should be a reminder to us that we can’t serve two masters. The lifestyle she has is expensive and yet that is a choice she has made, notice that with all the money she has obtained her anger has increased. There is a reason why the Bible mentions the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. My prayer is that she will come to know God and follow his will for her life, then she will know joy.

In my opinion, acting is a form of art, just like painting, music, and other forms of creativity. They can be used for good, and they can be used to evil. Acting can be used to project inspiration, motivation, and joy to a person. One issue is allowing your spiritual being to be open for something to take over, because you never know what will enter you until it starts to reveal itself. So, about your comment about acting being evil, it depends on what it's being used for. about her allowing her opening herself up to the spirits to provide better acting to the story, that's dangerous. So basically they are admitting that they have zero talent and have to literally surrender their bodies to demons in order to give a moving performance. Sadly this “method acting” has been going on since Lucille Ball and Marilynn Monroe and other actors who have admitted to doing the same. Look into the things done on set for I love Lucy which was actually one of my favorite shows until I found out for myself. I recently saw a movie titled Origin, a must see. The main character was able to get so far into character, crying came so natural. I cried throughout the movie as well just watching it. Method acting is finding instances in your own life that have made you feel the way the character has so that the emotion can be real. It has nothing to do with chakras and opening yourself up to spirits.

This was the first thought I had when I saw her on Jennifer Hudson last week. I thought I was tripping but now I know this is confirmation of how I felt. The Holy Spirit is definitely the one and only that should be allowed to use you as a vessel. As I am going on my spiritual journey I'm learning that this world is so corrupt and I can only trust God and his word which is the truth.
You see, when I was in school I joined the Christian drama and we are always praying that God should take control of us so that nothing demonic will take place and I knew instantly that it is spiritual when it come to acting.

This is why whenever I’m acting whether it be a theater production, or a film, I make sure I turn to the Holy Spirit and nothing else. My literal process is coming up with a psychological analysis of my character, once that’s done I pray that the Holy Spirit may enable me to embody these characteristics and mannerisms only when the camera is rolling or when we’re rehearsing. Why turn to the devil when you can turn to God who literally created emotions. So far it’s worked every time. Whenever someone tells me you’re character was so believable, I point to God because if it weren’t for Him I would’ve failed. All the praise and Glory goes to God.

I used to be a new-ager/occultist/actor (oof, I know. But thank God I've been saved only a few months ago). What she is saying is one big reason why I quit acting years ago. It felt wrong to be "wearing" so many different people like that. It got exhausting. I also started behaving like some characters I played for class. Our bodies don't know that it's pretend! Also, interesting fact: The contemporary chakra system with the different colours and attributes is a modern invention, propagated by the new-age movement. Originally, it was simply to explain the fact that we have a nervous system and that our bodies give off bioelectric signals. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if, when people are "feeling" into their chakras or whatever, they're contacting demons.

I was in a job that took training and talent (not acting). My boss told me that a made good money (12K per year) for a woman in Springfield. I took another job for $24k per year and found out my job, before I took it was offered to a man for $50k. I was a single mother doing the best I could with what I had. Everyone gets discriminated against at some time. We just have to make the best of it that we can. By the way, they hired two men to replace me in that last job. Life isn't fair. Just do the best you can and praise God if you have a roof over your head, plenty of food to eat and your bills paid. There is always people who have it better and people who have it a lot worse. Praise God (Jesus Christ) in all situations!

Exactly. Some people try to intallectualise their "process" to deliver a performance that is authentic to who the character is/how the character is written. "You have to dig deep and find the truth of who your character is" is a phrase so often heard when trying to convey an artistic endeavour. It's all pretend for crying out loud, which is why any "actor" depending on the role that engages in method acting is a clown to me.
Study the character you're playing and pretend convincingly who the character is. Bringing spirits into this is either bs or you're that wack you need to resort to spell casting to try and improve your performance. Light and Dark is in all of us. I'm going to make a public confession. I started off disagreeing with you about Taraji's complaints on the money she makes in comparison to her peers. However, as you continued to make your point about being content with what God has blessed her (us) with, and not chasing the things of this world, my perspective changed. It was a reminder to me that just having the things that we need (not want) is proof of a blessed life. I constantly have to remind myself that I need to run my own race, focusing on God's plan for my life, and not get caught up in what someone else has or is doing.

Taraji P. Henson is a talented actress and I’ve enjoyed watching her in movies for years. There are some movies that she did better in than others and it’s disingenuous to say that her pay is mainly because she’s a black woman. She chooses to live in one of the most expensive states in America as well as one of the most expensive cities. She has three homes, two are worth over a million and continues to vote for policies that lead to paying higher taxes, including state income tax. Based on the decades of experience acting she’s selling herself short. She has plenty of opportunities available to her to make more money whether through make-up, fashion, home decor, jewelry or expanding her haircare line. I’m sure there are moments where she has been cheated with pay and overlooked, however that doesn’t automatically make that a racial issue. She complains about her financial struggles while serving a false God and has chosen to embrace witchcraft instead of the gospel and this should be a reminder to us that we can’t serve two masters. The lifestyle she has is expensive and yet that is a choice she has made, notice that with all the money she has obtained her anger has increased. There is a reason why the Bible mentions the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. My prayer is that she will come to know God and follow his will for her life, then she will know joy.

In my opinion, acting is a form of art, just like painting, music, and other forms of creativity. They can be used for good, and they can be used to evil. Acting can be used to project inspiration, motivation, and joy to a person. One issue is allowing your spiritual being to be open for something to take over, because you never know what will enter you until it starts to reveal itself. I recently saw a movie titled Origin, a must see. The main character was able to get so far into character, crying came so natural. I cried throughout the movie as well just watching it. Character Acting/Method Acting has won countless Academy Awards! I remember reading once that several characters/actors that preformed in the movie Poltergeist either died or were killed. Method acting is finding instances in your own life that have made you feel the way the character has so that the emotion can be real. It has nothing to do with chakras and opening yourself up to spirits.

This is why whenever I’m acting whether it be a theater production, or a film, I make sure I turn to the Holy Spirit and nothing else. My literal process is coming up with a psychological analysis of my character, once that’s done I pray that the Holy Spirit may enable me to embody these characteristics and mannerisms only when the camera is rolling or when we’re rehearsing. Why turn to the devil when you can turn to God who literally created emotions. So far it’s worked every time. Whenever someone tells me you’re character was so believable, I point to God because if it weren’t for Him I would’ve failed. All the praise and Glory goes to God.

This is so true, I played characters like Dr. Jekyll & Dr. Frankenstein and getting in to those headspaces made me so depressed and anxious @.@!!! I was tortured for months 'cause i felt the HUGE GUILT that both those characters felt. I was so anxious as Dr. F one time in a mall that the police stopped me for "acting crazy!" I used to be a new-ager/occultist/actor (oof, I know. But thank God I've been saved only a few months ago). What she is saying is one big reason why I quit acting years ago. It felt wrong to be "wearing" so many different people like that. It got exhausting. I also started behaving like some characters I played for class. Our bodies don't know that it's pretend! Also, interesting fact: The contemporary chakra system with the different colours and attributes is a modern invention, propagated by the new-age movement. Originally, it was simply to explain the fact that we have a nervous system and that our bodies give off bioelectric signals. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if, when people are "feeling" into their chakras or whatever, they're contacting demons.

I was in a job that took training and talent (not acting). My boss told me that a made good money (12K per year) for a woman in Springfield. I took another job for $24k per year and found out my job, before I took it was offered to a man for $50k. I was a single mother doing the best I could with what I had. Everyone gets discriminated against at some time. We just have to make the best of it that we can. By the way, they hired two men to replace me in that last job. Life isn't fair. Just do the best you can and praise God if you have a roof over your head, plenty of food to eat and your bills paid. There is always people who have it better and people who have it a lot worse. Praise God (Jesus Christ) in all situations!
Yes, you should praise God in all situations but also God has given us authority over “Gate Keepers” search prayers against “Gate keepers, Spirit of Delay, and understand Isaiah 54:17 that no weapons of denial, delay, discrimination, and what ever other weapons formed against your health, your career, your finances, and relationships may form but they won’t prosper and bear fruit in your life! This video was so well articulated & I loved how you touched on key points regarding how we must show gratitude for what we do receive, how can taraji expect increase if she’s not even satisfied with what she’s making now.. however, I think there’s a misconception & a thin line between being ungrateful & truly dealing with racism/ inequality within your industry + choosing to speak up about it (which isn’t new) it’s becoming more apparent because of the lack of exposure on this topic for years prior - Black Women as a collective have always had to work 3x harder than any white counterpart in any industry, I think equality & reparations are her stance opposed to being ungrateful. We can always get biblical but racism will & has always been a real thing
