Lexie was the most precious bean and also a badass. Everyone loved and liked her, not just Meredith. Derek looked out for her, Cristina and Alex teased her, Bailey and Webber treated her like an additional daughter. Not to mention Mark, who never stopped loving her. She was the light to Meredith’s dark. Cristina understood her, but Lexie taught her selflessness and how to learn to love. I miss Lexie and Mark, they were adorable, funny, lovable characters
Couldnt have put it better myself. I rewatched season 3 till 8 but I stopped at the last episode. Can’t watch it anymore.

I know the actress wanted to leave the show and there was nothing they could have done it but the death of Lexie and Mark was the beginning of the end of Grey's Anatomy. The entire plane crash plot is so absurd and the series kept being more and more absurd with the tragedies...
Plus, in recent seasons they choose to cut a new character of the show to introduce another one, it's weird. There's no development, no connection with the audience like Mark, Lexie, Addison had...

I agree! Derek and Lexie were the two people to help Mer change for the better and accept the love other people had for her. After meeting them Mer stopped to push the people away when she needed them the most, like she used to do in the past.
I feel like Meredith is so hard on jo and strict with her because she reminds her of Lexie. And she wants the best for her like she did for Lexie !

Jo is more mer than Lexie tbh. She sees her own darkness. Hey I could be wrong but I feel Lexie was more a character with light with shades of grey or sometimes black. jo or mer weren't not that they had force themselves to see the light.
She doesn't want to get as close to Joe as she did with Lexie. Not because she wants the best for her, but because she doesn't want to lose someone as close to her a lexis way.

I actually hate this scene because there was so much more to her than being her "kid sister". Why didn't they make her say "my younger half-sister, Lexi. I only got to know her in adulthood but we grew really close. I loved her". Just some more than this half sentence...

The amount of patience Lexie has for Meredith to really get close to her is commendable. The death of Lexie and Cristina's departure made me stopped watching Greys Anatomy. Greys Anatomy definitely has the best background scores to add stories and emotions in the scenes.

Well she just jump into her life.Merediht save her DAD because of Lexie!She hasn't any normal life her Sister was Christina, her family. It takes time to let someone who you don't know that exists just comes and hello I am your sister🤗So I completely understand Meredith caracter but she loved Lexie very much.
i will keep preaching this, greys anatomy was way better off ending at like season 10-12. i stopped watching around when derek died. it’s not the same show anymore. at all.
I like what they did with season 17 but after season 12 I stopped watching it went kind-of downhill from there. Season 17 was actually good but I think it should have ender with it.

Lexie and Meredith developed that sister bond. They brought out the best in each other. They truly seemed like real sisters. Never got that feeling between Maggie and Meredith. Always kind of thought it would have been cool if Meredith had a long lost brother
Meredith also has Molly as a half sister as well too.
Mer and Maggie have a sister bond. Remember they are products of Ellis. Not the easiest person

Lexie literally changed Meredith, she was the change Meredith was waiting for, she let Mer believe she’s worthy, she can have a family, a real one, not just with the love of her life, to have brothers and sisters, i think she was THE change for many of the them as Derek and Mark; it’s not right i believe but i think Maggie will never be Lexie, she’ not a change Meredith was waiting for, Meredith got her change, she doesn’t need another one, and even if Maggie is great and worthy, Meredith needs Lexie not someone like her.
Lexie was definitely a game changer. Maggie is a bonus sister in which became a blessing for Meredith after losing Lexi.
If Lexie hadn't died Meredith would always have someone to lean on since Cristina left and Derek died, (except Alex) Lex would have been a great emotional support, I don't despise Amy and Maggie as sisters, but Lexie was unique to Mer. If Lexie had been with her sister during Derek's death, Mer would take Lexie with her to San Diego for Ellis' birth; when the patient attacked Meredith, Lex would never have separated from his sister NEVER
The way that Meredith has always called her Lexie and not Dr. Grey just shows that she always cared about her
I've watched and analyzed this show a million times, especially their relationship and I never out that together and now I'm crying. Mer definitely loved Lexie more than she loves Maggie I feel deep down
As much as Meredith may not want to be like her mother, she is very similar. Her cold disposition towards Lexi in the beginning is very Elis Grey

I agree with you. After a while she became Meredith she is. She's fully aware that if she continued to treat Lexie like she did for longer time she'd end up like Elis which she doesn't like to happen. A lot of growth happened with her character. She's in pain. She had a past which wouldn't be that easy to understand for people who haven't experienced it first hand or at least haven't given much time to even think about it.
Meredith warmed up to Maggie so fast because she saw the time she lost with Lexie and after she died I think she realized it. So she didn't want to waste time with Maggie

They had a complicated relationship in the beginning but it all changed and they were treating each other like sisters. I wish they had more time together 🥺💓
Cristina was undeniably the best character to come from Greys and one of the best tv characters to have ever been created, BUT Lexie...Lexie was so special and she truly brought so much life to the show, the characters, and the storylines, I mean the hospital is now called Grey Sloan after LEXIE GREY. She deserved so much better. Her death was brutal. And she was an amazing character.
And it’s so weird to think of Chyler Leigh hardly gets the recognition for her role as Lexie Grey even now, and yet her character truly is STILL the heart of a show she’s no longer apart of.
I hope we get to see Lexie on the beach or at least see Chyler reprise her role as Lexie at least in some way before the show ends.
i love the video, but one of my favorite scenes is missing. the one where lexie reads all the chats before their boards, and meredith forbids everyone to force her to read more, saying you broke my sister.

This girl omg, she was a light on Mer's life, she changed the way Mer see other people and she was so kind, gentle, loving and I hated when Mer just pulled her away. Her loss will mark Meredith's life forever, since she finds out how Lexie is amazing and the greatest person that ever stepped in this world. I wish Lexie was alive today and Maggie, Mer and her could be The trio of super powerful sisters.🧡
I don’t know if anyone has ever seen supergirl, but Chyler Lee (Lexi) plays Alex, Karas (supergirl) sister and Lexi is just as caring and selfless has Alex. She is so sweet and kind and I think that no matter what role she plays she will always be so sweet kind and beautiful! ❤️
