I stopped watching at season 12 and rewatched it cause I missed them
I hated it when their try to make up with new duo Owen n Nathan. It’s just not the same vibe i cannot tolerate plus i hate Owen from beginning when he love Teddy but still seeking for Christina when clearly Christina broke up with him. Like he so selfish, can he be just like Burke loving Christina unconditionally he know what best for Christina.

Honestly since both mark and Lexi left the show they should have had Lexi leave to go to Hopkins or some fancy hospital and mark confesses his love for her and leave with her and reveal that she is pregnant and they could have done what Arizona and Callie did with Sophia and maybe they moved to new your and when Callie left that’s another reason she went to New York so Lexi Callie mark and Arizona could all be happy in New York and they could have written in that Arizona and Callie get back together 😭😭😭

He even figured Derek gave Addison both houses when Addison told Mark he gave her Brownstone (or whatever it's called) and figured something was off about Derek keeping the Hamptons because he hated the Hamptons.

the show doesn't feel worth watching after Derek's death. after that one of the most annoying things of the show has become the writers trying different types of men with different context with Meredith.

Exactly, season 12 is still watchable on binge watch but after that 😬 There are some good storylines here and there but you can really tell the difference in quality since Shonda left.

He was dating Bailey in season 6 and then she started seeing Eli and then he came back right before Mark died or something
I mean I get it sometimes the actors wanna do something else and ask to leave or their contract is up or whatever but the only solution isn't to kill them off. It's old, making the surviving characters relive the pain of loosing everyone close to them constantly is ridiculous. Christina left and all they did was send her away. I don't get why the writers are so obsessed with killing everyone off
i sort of agree but at the same time its just the entire point of the show. its just a depressing show
It's a soap opera. Death is drama.
But there wasn’t any way to take Derek off the show without killing him, they couldn’t just break up merder
I think alot of the deaths were requested by the actors themselves. Im not a 100% sure but I think Chyler(Lexie) requested specifically for Lexie to die and Eric(Mark) who saw no point of his character still being alive without Lexie also requested to be killed off. Actually they had planned for Mark to go back to Addison on Private Practice. And with Derek I dont think they really had a choice because they didn't know how else to make him leave.
its how they acted on set that decided how they left the show. if they weren’t the best people to be around on set, they were killed off brutally. if they were lovely, they got sent away. a lot of the actors also requested to be killed off

Its honestly sad that they choose to kill off all the good characters. Either hitting them with buses, planes or trucks, or destroying their character development with stupid letters.
The important part of writing is to make something new, as presenting something you find in every other book, like a happily ever after, is bland. Which is why there are deaths or leaves in movies and shows to keep the uniqueness alive. It also helps in creating a new climax for the story to keep going, like if an important character dies in a zombie apocalypse movie.
But they went too far with it here. >:(
Well let’s be honest the show is on its 20th or so season, that’s 20 YEARS of filming and more because it’s still not done- not everyone’s going to be fully committed to that because of the actors’ lives and other opportunities and so the writers do what they have to do

Tbh I stopped keeping up with Grey's after these two left. Couldn't bring myself to watch anymore, it was never the same afterwards. I was so over all my fave characters dying lmao, I'll rewatch old seasons tho!!

meredith ends up in limbo fighting covid for a really long time and nearly dies (yes again lmao). but when shes in limbo she interracts with derek (episodes 2, 3, 8) lexie (e10) mark (e10) george (e4) deluca (e7). its really wholsome and heals a part of you. theres an article called "greys anatomy dream beach appearances ranked, from derek to cormac" where it has some of the scenes, but not all of them
The last scene wasnt absolutely necessary, again made me cry.

I know I’m replying to my own comment but is Bailey considered to be a good chief? I know Bailey excels at everything but the resident program also closed under her so I’m not sure what to make of it..
@@anujkalra6145I'd say Bailey is a good chief. The resident program closing was due to a multitude of factors: the aftermath of the pandemic, half of the attendings leaving, and as the inspector said, the doctors in that hospital all have extremely close friendships which is great but can also complicate professional relationships. At some point it just got too messy and even an exceptional chief like Webber couldn't have saved the program. At least that's my opinion
everyone has left...like all og cast like Christina Derek mark Lexie George lizzy Alex Arizona Callie+more but It’s just not the same

For those pissed abt certain deaths here was the actors reasons:
Derek: Left to save his marriage( which was saved) and he was sent to dc to work for the president before dying because he requested less time on set and they incorporated that into the storyline.
Mark: Was pretty insistent on exploring other options and Shonda practically begged him to stay but then they agreed to kill him off with Lexie.
Lexie: Pretty neutral about staying on the show or not staying on the show but took the opportunity to explore other options and it made a great storyline for mark and Lexie’s love life.
Andrea: Both him and Shonda agreed they should continue the sexual predator case on greys anatomy but weren’t sure how to finish it off. Shonda proposed multiple options before Andreas actor deciding to leave his character as a hero and really bring together everything Andrea stood for. He said he missed being on the show but loved the way he choose to end his character.
George O’Malley: Had countless arguments with Preston Burke’s actor that were homophobic( TR. Kniight is gay) even after Burke left the energy was no longer the same and George’s actor was uncomfortable on set.
Izzie stevens: She was very unliked by Shonda since the beginning and according to other actors was a general ass on set. She also had issues with who her character evolved to be. The decision for her to leave after they felt her story was over was collectively made and both seemed relatively happy with letting go.
